It works the same. But it looks worse. I will admit though that there are a few things they could improve like how the cables on the tesla just lay on top of the board. thats more than just looks 1

I suppose my riding style and attitude towards others in traffic is called defensive riding. At no point do I expect cars, bicycles and pedestrians to make way, no matter what the law says. And at no point did I expect the car in the video to make way either. I’m pretty sure I would be the slowest and most annoying rider anywhere in the US! ? 1

Bob Eisenman
4 hours ago, Marty Backe said: Never a surprise though Perhaps equally threatening was an incident that happened this weekend. I took a long ride North , headed toward Newburyport where , battery mostly spent , I then buy a train ticket for the ride back. I took a new never used before by me route along an interesting road, partially used by me in my old route. The route passed behind Ipswich High School before it headed back towards a rejoin point with my 'old route' down the road. At the street front to the high school there were two cops (and road blocking cars) stationed a block apart along 'the new route'. I was well past the halfway point if my ride, battery speaking. The first cop was a female directing traffic away from 'my new Google Maps route' . The second officer was standing nearer to a wetted looking road surface a football fields length away at an apparent water main leak onto the roadway. I approached the water main break and officer on the roadway at first then transitioned to the sidewalk after noticing the severity of the water main break. The officer announced that I could not pass as I transitioned to the sidewalk, hoping to pass on to the dry roadway beyond the water leak area. Coasting slowly I dismounted and asked if I 'could walk it past on the sidewalk?' which was dry. His immediate response was 'I'm not going to tell you again' to turn around. His intent/ attitude was like he was going to arrest or maybe taser me if I came any closer on that fine , sunny and hot day. When I reached the female officer I stopped, took out my cell phone to 'see' where I was, how far to the nearest train was or what alternate ride around route I might take. The friendly female officer, standing next to her vehicle which blocked the road, said 'it sure is hot'! I replied 'yeah'. I realized I was close to town and the train stop. I short time I was at a Dunkin, sipping iced coffee, enjoying free wifi, checking my battery level (57%) and planning what to do next. I decided to take a direct route back to my apartment and arrived there 37.5 miles (in total) later with something around15% battery left. Electric vehicles on low battery with longer route conflicts can be a problem. A little Google searching later I realized than one of the major water sources for the town of Ipswich was a large pond located not far from the displeased officer standing near the flowing water main leak onto the street. As an aside, my new landlord (in the Boston area) emailed me last Friday, asking if I had running water. As a email exchanges went on it became apparent that he was informed by the Salem water department that the apartment buildings wifi monitored water meter showed continuous flow as compared to neighbors and that I check for the typical running faucet or toilet and otherwise use conservative water habits since ultimately his real estate company pays the H2O bill under the terms of the lease. My return ride shown above passed by Wenham Lake, from which Salem derives its water and which is 'fed' by the Ipswich river watershed. Ipswich itself draws its water from wells, one in the Ipswich river watershed, one in the Parker river watershed nearer Newburyport and also from the pond (reservoir) near the water main break that occurred near the High school in Ipswich. What a strange day and weird association of water woes for both the town of Ipswich and my new landlord and possibly other alerted new tenants where I live. Have a nice 4th! Speaking of long-range travel goals, my sister wrote to me a few days ago that my nephew, his wife, their 3 kids and another collaborator would be travelling to Peru in 8 days. The Peru objective being a combined 3 week long vacation and Peruvian archaeology project. My nephew is a GIS mapper and the collaborator is more of a Peruvian archeologist. 'Parkway Cycles' (motorcycle dealership) is a couple of blocks from that spot. I was making a continuous ride video from Revere near the beach to along the Charles river in Boston when the car made the unexpected move. I'm out on a ride through the Hamilton-Wenham and Ipswich area.....about a 15 mile ride in the opposite direction. Horse and rider country...really nice country roads....probably scenic in the fall when the leaves turn. Time for you and 'the Mrs.' to take a trip back to the UK? Bob Eisenman
About 6 miles to go on a to Ipswich ride and back. Nice roads. Looks like enough battery left to reach 'home' without calling Uber. Treated my self to oysters at the 'Clam Shack' in Ipswich What a hot day....great for battery mileage and my heavy body. I was reading about MOSFETs, the inversion layer formed when a gate voltage is applied and the 'safe operating area' for use which is measured (for any mosfet) rather than calculated. This graph is from a Power MOSFET basics PDF. Since the MOSFET generates the heat associated with board failure and the 'package' containing the MOSFET has Thermal limits too its worth reading. Rdson (resistance of MOSFET drain to source) changes with temperature too. 1

Boogieman
Just hade my first night ride with my tesla. After a win in football vs Switzerland and still being a bit to awake at 2a.m. i got an urge to try out the night in Malmoe (Sweden). And man i am glad i did. Ended up to ride a bit over an hour just enjoying the silence (of the tesla and the night), zero people on cycle tracks and roads. A trip through the city then by the beach/ harbour just enjoying a smooth ride. Got to experience the 1st beep as well, i guess it's since i set it to max 30km/h in the wheellog app (only helmet and gloves arrived thus far so no speed runs yet), as i later measured with GPS at what speed the beep came and it was spot on at 30km/h. Nice job (no cheating with speeds). I now realized how extremely quiet the motor of the tesla is (normally ride w head phones/music). On camera you can hear it, but when you ride its sooooo quiet and smooth it is almost inaudible below 15-20km/h, love it. Sure the chinese might not have the best build quality, but they nailed the drive train on the tesla. Even my ninebot mini plus make more noise than this ? Have also understood what people mean when they say pedal dip. And what can come after a pedal dip (wobble) When you ride and start turning it feels like the ride allmost throws you into the turn. Of course witha bicycle tyre loaded with rider and 15-20kg wheel that ain't strange. Non stabilized side walls has that effect. It's also the reason the z10 handles totally different im sure since it has a reinforced side wall tyre (motor bike tyre) which ion my opinion is the only fitting wheel when going at speeds above 20km/h as it can handle the side force a LOT better than a squishy baloon tyre. Im going to try you find a reinforced tubeless (preferably) for my tesla as that will likely make it a muuuch more stable and safe ride at high speeds. But for now, i just live with the wobble that occur every now and then.... Edited July 4, 2018 by Boogieman

I love those moments! I’ve been doing a lot of very early morning runs lately, as 5am in the summer is bright, beautiful, empty, and silent! I live close to a lovely fine gravel outdoorsy route that follows the shoreline for a few dozen km. It’s hopeless especially at sunday afternoon, so many people walking their dogs, babies and kids. It’s almost like riding in the city centre.
mrelwood
2 hours ago, Boogieman said: And what can come after a pedal dip (wobble) Pedal dip and wobble are not related. Pedal dip is a gyro sensor/software issue where during a turn the pedals slowly tilt a bit forward. It slowly goes away after the turn. Wobble is a fast side-to-side movement that is most often caused by a new rider unable to relax the legs because the EUC muscles have not yet developed properly, or standing too far back on the pedals. While advanced riders also may get small wobbles from time to time, they also are usually related to legs getting tired. I’m afraid replacing the tire with a more uncomfortable one will not help with that issue. Although, you might want to check that the tire is seated properly. Lift the wheel when it’s powered on and let it accelerate. A badly seated tire wobbles quite strongly, but a small shake is perfectly normal and will not cause wobbles while riding. Remember, some people ride at almost 50km/h with the Tesla original tire, and they call it stable even at those speeds. As the physics of speed increase exponentially, 20km/h is nothing.
