Whilst I appreciate everyone's responses and feedback I want to remind everyone that I am human just like you. I'm to help with King Song's PR as well as run social media accounts, I do not make decisions by myself I simply reflect everyone's concerns to KS. I know how frustrating it was as a rider to not have an active KS member on the forum so here  I am filling that void. I was once also just a rider/consumer frustrated with issues that the wheels may come with. If there are issues with the wheel please let me know, POLITELY.  

 

@mrelwood@meepmeepmayer could you please kindly pin this post or do something so that becomes of an importance on this thread, thank you.

I’m sorry if you felt I was attacking you. As a EUC rider and a Kingsong fan, it is very frustrating when you feel the company aren’t listening to their customers. All I want is for Kingsong to make great and safe wheels again, and I don’t know how I or the many who share the same view can communicate with them. You are the only one I can reach who represent Kingsong, and therefore I vented my frustration on you, which isn’t fair, and I’m truly sorry.

I understand where you come from and I want our riders to be safe. Could you please link me to where you've seen 16x issues above 40km? Preferably posts that include great detail such as situations, ride style, speed etc

There is an option for Customers worried that the 1110Wh pack won't cut it for their needs, King Song have an external 780Wh power-bank, raising the total potential capacity to 1,890Wh, which we have in stock. This would require fitting into an back-pack & having a tether wire trickle charging the main pack @ 3A/84v (there's an output voltage toggle); while it's not perfect, it should be a workable solution. The price for this hardware is $650.

Damn guys, be easy on Jack or he will leave and not come back. He's a PR guy, NOT an engineer. He has to refer to people to answer these things and Im betting he isnt in charge of design changes(and who said he was here to entertain design ideas from us anyhow).  Don't ask him questions that back him in a corner, or we wont have him as a resource. I'd imagine he'd rather not answer loaded questions that could put KS into a legal bind. You keep asking him questions you KNOW he can't answer. I doubt he has much to say about accusations of how dangerous the wheel is either. Kingsong made this a 50kmh wheel. Yes, I want a 70km wheel that weighs less than 50lbs too. We know this wheel is NOT a 70km wheel, get over it or move on. I routinely maintain 50km on my 18L and the danger I see is.. me. I didnt realize that my noob ass was part of the rare crowd who goes 'fast', but it is what it is( i have NEVER seen a wheel but mine in person, my videos illustrate this). I am aware of the gotway offering of speed. I also decided to patron Kingsong for this suspension. If i want more speed, I will chose a different wheel than the sks18. Bitching about top speed and battery is doing nothing. I'm sure the designers (NOT JACK) are aware of what some of us want in battery and speed. Its obvious that they chose to focus on a bigger picture (or smaller depending on your view)and didnt deliver a big battery and more speed. Please, you KNOW it is what it is. Accept it or move on! I have REAL questions for Jack and as a preorder customer, they are REAL questions that pertain to something i have ALREADY spent money on. Give him a break and MAYBE he'll have time left to answer MY questions too. Wasting his time with whining and loaded questions and psuedo opinions stated as if they were fact... not cool.

But what does that change about the 1110wh 3p-battery? 

IMO nothing, because I have better and lighter fast charger with unlimited energy. Finding a power supply for the charger was never a problem.

Also the 5A charge current takes to much time on the run. 

Output 42V?

oops. I guess I misread the OTHER thread rules and my questions got moved to here. Damn... with all the traffic I'm quite sure they will now be forgotten and go unanswered. Hell, I even tried to make them direct questions and even numbered them. My fault i guess    SO far i did see that the sks18 has ONE charge port, will come with a 2.5amp charger, but can be charged at 5amp. SO the claim of charging in 6hrs is ONLY if i spend more money and buy another 5amp charger, as there isnt a second port to allow use of my current charger (2.5a) along with the one supplied? Honestly, even tho Jack is a resource for us, I am about to the point to just say 'f**k it', as something is making a matter of specs being answered, a game of cat and mouse. Its only been 3-4 days and Im already tired. IN the end, I'll know everything when it arrives, regardless. If i hate it, I'll sell it at a loss. If i like it, I'll keep it at a loss. Pretty simple.

The point is that this is charging-on-the-go. Average power consumption cruising at 20MPH, is about 400W, with the power-bank outputting 252W of max power, ~70% of consumption. 

Obviously the 1110Wh pack may not suit everyone's needs, just putting some options on the table. The DC output has a variable voltage selector, up to 84.2v.   

Note: I did make the prediction to KS that there would be some strong dissenting voices on this S18 battery choice...

Well, is it too late for you to cancel your S18 order? Slightly disappointed customers are way better than cut out disabled customers😉 If they won’t listen to what you say, they might listen to what you pay😊

Inmotion is currently asking us which tire we’d like to have on the V11. Poll is still open at the Inmotion section of the forum. They have also had a WhatsApp group since last fall for receiving ideas and comments.

And now we have an English speaking KS representative active at our very forum that actually works for KS! Looks to me that they definitely do listen. Maybe not in a way that would always feel ideal to us, but some of them definitely put a valuable effort in it. Let’s embrace that!

KS originally designed the 18L as a 1036Wh wheel. They had to be pried to do the 18XL. Maybe they just don't think bigger batteries are important.
