Also nice tour of the infrastructure. Wish there was a 16 incher with 3000+Wh and good electronics and a 3 inch tire

I think we will both live to see that wheel, but probably not for another handful of years. I'm convinced that higher density affordable batteries will eventually hit the market and we will be beneficiaries of the advance. Good stuff, Ian is great. Hope the new pedals hold up better and no nasty surprises down the road, a college told me today the company have got very high quality 15mm 5xxx series Alu sheets hidden away at the workshop that I have missed somehow, had hoped for 20mm although maybe I could find smaller 20mm pieces for pedal attachment and AC Tig them together (and by now most have figured out where this could lead hahaha), some milling, attach a top with grip tape and voila. Hopefully we could get some info down the road pointing towards a bad batch, cheaping out of Alu alloy quality, casting process, anything.. or something to calm my nerves but a pedal falling away under my foot is a nightmare imho, chances are though if going there you go full nuts and start thinking about pedal arms, improve on quality for locking into the wheels axle, yadda, yadda.. Anyways I really hope you do not have to experience that ever again.

To me it was very difficult to choose my first wheel. As humans, we are so different to each other. What one likes the other hates. This sport is also relatively new and there are no places to do a test ride. So I had to rely entirely on YouTube reviews when the time come to buy one. With the experience I have today, after 1500 mi (2533 km), I would not buy a King Song. There have been too much quality issues with my monday unit and the app still does not work neither after three updates. At the same time I know that someone else thinks that King Song is absolutely the world's best EUC brand. So I Looking forward to se your decision. I hope you get a discounted price when you make so many nice videos .

I hope you get a discounted price when you make so many nice videos . I wanted to make a comment to give a little of my perspective on what you stated above. First, let me say my first 3 wheels were KS, next week I will have 1 KS, 4 GW and a NB. I am saying this because it gives my opinion at least a little credibility from my personal experience and not baseless opinions which I have been reading on here in the recent past. There seems to be some pretty large and concerning growing pains in our EUC world with some "new models" that have come out recently... no need to get into it but the v10F, 18L, etc... have all been detailed on this forum. These "growing pain" issues are to be expected, this goes with our hobby, new cars, pretty much any newly designed items available seem to be subject to this Phenomena at times. That being said, here is my issue... I find my self hesitant grouping what I will call "firmware' or "programming" issues with "quality" issues. When I look at the QUALITY of a wheel, I am looking at the way it is built, construction, materials used, assembly, quality control, etc... There is no way someone can tell me that the past or current quality of the KS wheels are inferior to the GW wheels. I went from 3 KS wheels to 4 GW and 1 KS, and I know from personal experience that the build quality (construction) of the KS wheels is better... that said, I still shifted my stable around. I am sure the companies will figure out how to resolve the growing pains, which I think quite a bit is firmware related, also I have been reading the V10F is on that path and owners seem to be satisfied with the initial outcome from some recent posts. KS apps SUCK compared to all the others... not sure why they can't get that resolved, but it is what it is... while I hate that aspect, I can not say it effects the "quality" of their wheels specifically regarding construction, and had No role in my switching. Lastly, while I am on my rant about comparisons, and I have commented on this in the past, some people have used the words "dangerous" and "unsafe" in comparing some wheels like the GW to the KS. While there have been some legitimate concerns in the past and well documented, this is the main issue that some people don't understand. KS is definitely VERY conservative in their programming in safety, like top speeds, throttling back speed, etc. Other brands as I think Marty has also stated in the past, will allow you to "HURT YOURSELF" by riding their wheels at the limit or past the (safe) limit that makes sense at least for me. If someone takes their Tesla (16") on a ride and has an accident because they were going over 32mph (which it will let you), this does not mean the wheel is unsafe... it does mean the rider was an idiot in my opinion (you can find these on YouTube). Just to compare, the 16" KS16S wheel will not let you go much over 22mph before kicking back at full battery. If we keep our info, comparisons, and opinions properly in the categories they belong, it would be much more helpful to "all of us" who use this forum to make the best decisions. As you stated "So I had to rely entirely on YouTube reviews when the time come to buy one". With all our input, we can add this Forum as a Helpful resource as well... 7
Carl Svanfelt
Yes I agree with you @Marcglider. But if we look further at my comment, I do not talk about KS in general. The comment applies only to one device, that wheel I'm riding. So if this wheel is of a low standard, it's obvious that I will change the brand next time I buy a new one. It's great that we have this forum and all YouTube videos. The interest is increasing to make our best for a greener environment. So today the EUC market are growing here in Finland also, and it is possible to test ride more new models in Helsinki than it was for 6 months ago. Thank you for your comment, I appreciate your post .

Thanks, I definitely was not trying to single you out... it was just a good opportunity to say what I did so things can stay on a good and helpful track... not sure if you follow anything on the new Z10, but there have been some things coming out of West Europe that add nothing regarding being helpful and actually is a negative in my opinion... Interesting, I knew nothing when I bought mine and wish I had rad moire here and registered as a member a long time ahead, there is things I do not like about that old 67v ACM but I demanded too much from it so not quite fair, they say Gotway is hit and miss and quality in general can be so so but honestly apart from the unexpected nose dives at times if not waiting a couple seconds after turning it on I cannot really find a lot of flaws, if to be fair that is cause I am certain the complaints I do have I would find in many wheels from this time cause related to softness, weak, etc..
Popular Post meepmeepmayer
8 hours ago, Dingfelder said: That's so strange considering that Kingsong used to be held as by far the quality leader ... Yea, the current situation is confusing. KS have serious issues (lift sensor, bricking firmware, apparently catastrophic app) that one wouldn't expect with their experience. Inmotion have serious issues (overheating, water intrusion) that one wouldn't expect with their experience. And Gotway... everything just works. Has there been a single complaint about an msuper X or MCM5? They just work, powerfully. Feels like I'm in opposite land. I firmly believe, though, that if Gotway ever release a wheel and app that allows firmware updates like KS and IM do and have other features like their apps (like actually knowing which wheel is connected), the sheer awfulness, irresponsibility, how-could-anyone-do-this-and-think-it's-ok, and disaster will manifest into a physical form and spell the end of the world or tear reality or something KS and IM go smarter (more elaborate and thought out construction and limits), GW overengineer and call it a day. For now, seems like the second way is working out better.

Riding on road and off-road looking for a good curb, stone or ramp for jump over is a game changer. I only afraid the risk of wreck something in the euc like bended pedal axle, losses screws or bolts, blended wheel axle, battery packs displacement inside his housing and of course hitting badly the RIM. That's what I get (less the axle bending) in the several euc I have due my jumping practice Edited September 8, 2018 by Demargon
mrelwood
I have only jumped a few times, each one by accident. Although especially the MSX takes jumps very gracefully, my heart hurts a bit afterwards... I don’t think I’ll start rehearsing jumps.
