I hear all their wheels get a bonus hike in price? I can't remember why that is, but I think they negotiate sole rights to wheels with the manufacturers so they can boost the prices up. That plus VAT taxes maybe? @US69 There's so many riders in France - you would think people would set up shop just across the border and people could do some cross border shopping. I guess though they want the convenience of a local shop to help with repairs and parts. Are they the only game in town? There are no other dealers in Paris? Pretty sure it's the French physical stores costing a lot of money (imagine that rent right next to Notre Dame where eroue is), so that's why they hike their monopoly prices in France. It's not VAT as it's nearly the same as in Germany (20% vs 19%) and other EU countries (except Nordic countries getting shafted). Also, there is some kind of import tax from China on the order of 30%, as far as I've heard. No idea about the details or if that's indeed true. With electronics (iPhones etc) having no import tolls to the U.S. at all, I assume that applies to EUCs too as they are "electronics". But in the end, seems manufacturers themselves just hiked prices (e.g. 1400 GBP for a 1300Wh ACM2 vs. 1500 GBP for a 1020Wh Tesla) as well - maybe battery costs, maybe just wanting more money. There are (at least) 3 physical shops in Paris that sell EUCs (eroue, urban360, gyroroue-shop). As far as buying from other EU shops, in theory that's completely true and one of the 4 basic freedoms in the EU. But the manufacturers apparently threaten dealers if they sell to other EU countries that already have a local licensed dealer. Highly illegal, but looks like it's happening anyway. That's why they can price-hike in the first place, I guess 10 hours ago, Jrkline "Wheel Whisperer" said: On the recent group ride in the Whittier Hills with @YoshiSkySun and @Marty Backe , Marty asked for a different video perspective of his wheel riding foibles. So, in order to comply with his request, I present "Marty BrokeBacke Ground Attacke" How about instead of "In God we trust", "In Gotway we trust". I think anyone who cares about you would want to have you stay in good order. There's no shame in putting aside the EUCs while things heal up or in my case for the snow to melt. Patience is a virtue. Besides, we can all ride vicariously through watching other people's videos! With the high def cameras it's almost like being right there. I've never been to Griffith park or Whittier hills, but some of the trees, climbs and pathways now look quite familiar. It's also a good time to explore other hobbies, interests, chores on the to-do list, etc. I think a well rounded rider is one who can put the wheel down and enjoy other activities as well. Heal up and be stronger. Once you are back to good, get on the wheel and have some more fun! PS: Get that wifey some flowers and take her out to have a nice dinner for putting up with you! I can imagine her saying that you're worse than a little kid with a new bike! Edited April 18, 2018 by Hunka Hunka Burning Love

I remember someone mentioning I could begin riding again when I was able to fetch my Burger King food at the drive thru. Task complete! Just two weeks later I can now grab my Tesla with my left hand and toss it over my shoulder while riding Mten. These bionic plates/ screws and cadaver bone soaked in steroids are awesome! Speaking of videos I (we) would really like to see Hunka riding his Tesla through some beautiful scenic regions in Canada! Hunka Hunka Burning Love
First rule of Canada EUC club is there is no Canada EUC club. I was thinking of getting an action camera since my iPhone video kind of sucks. Not much to see around here except bike paths and the green spaces around houses. Very . I might try to go to the park again once the weather melts the snow away more.

Popular Post houseofjob
Nice @eddiemoy! How's the editing convenience of the MiSphere (stitching, rendering time, etc.)? Was looking at getting into 360 for just the 2D side, but all of them seem to have some deficiency. Also, you really need to get the wardrobe to match that new TSG Pass helmet! 3

The built in editing sucks. I just basically shoot and upload with no editing. But I'm sure if I had Premiere or Final Cut it would be fine. I don't think 360 video quality is there yet. Think it needs 8K video. I already have the motorcycle jacket and on some of the hotter days maybe just elbow guards, knee pad and wrist guards not the jacket. Sorry...In the other guys Mi sphere video the viewer induces display changes in plane with the horizon by (panning) dragging left-right with the mouse or screen-tab controls. His camera Z axis is always UP. Your video starts that way too but just a bit later your camera position makes its z axis at an angle (45 ish degrees) to the horizon. When the Youtube viewer swipes left-right the z axis of the sphere that was captured is no longer perpendicular with the horizon. The display rotates out of the horizontal plane for most of the video for left-right screen input. Your mail box video has left-right panning in the horizontal plane like the other guys video, if I remember correctly The guy in the other video keeps his camera perpendicular to the ground...always. I guess Mi Sphere has a hardware gyroscope which allows the user to change the angle of the camera while still showing a forward view when filming but the axis of the camera relative to the ground (perpendicular IR other) seems to determine what the viewers left-right pan request displays in YouTube. Up-down panning is sort of less of a problem. Edited April 21, 2018 by Bob Eisenman

I didn’t do that because I found it introduces too much jitter to the video and when I change direction, the camera angle changes too. Meaning the user has to constantly change the angle when I make a turn on the EUC. It is good for slow movement like this guy walking. Not good when I’m EUC.
