Is it EX (Eee-Ex) or Ex (Ecks)? We need to get it to more riders / reviewers and see what we all think about it. (On my Monster V3, I disabled the lift button because it could get stuck. I don't care about the speakers.) Dont forget her comment about build quality. We all have opinion and some of us have even ridden the things we have opinions on. I've formed my opinion about suspension already. Still, nothing takes the place of test riding one yourself. At this price, it may be worth the effort to find someone who has one, so you can form your own opinion, without it being clouded by the fact you've already spent a TON of money on it. We all become biased when we begin to justify a purchase. Best of luck! @Shield sounds like Vee is telling us like it is. She's no stranger to these wheels and doesnt seem to have affiliations that cloud her opinions. I'm always leery when I see 'reviews' that gush over a new product. There aint a wheel made yet that doesnt have issue. Anytime someone avoids mentioning the negatives, they lose all credibility in my eyes. It would be great if customer demos were part of the influencers time with these pre-production wheels. I know that the units get brought to meet ups and rides, but I don't have that in my area. But people began to send "waste quality assembly" is a tragedy I will never again believe only tests of pre-production models. I wonder how those 8 screws, holding the suspension block to the motor, will handle the shear stress over time? It looks pretty hefty, but we'll see once the 300 lb riders start full sending the EX off 6-foot drops. The inner diameter of the EX's hub motor is significantly larger than the RS's. I wonder if they'll get to the point in the future where it'll be large enough to fit batteries in there too? Does anyone know if you have to pump up the EX's suspension on both sides? Or just one side? I'm curious if the large column in the middle of the suspension block, is the air compression chamber, or if the two smaller cylinders closer to the pedal hangers is where the air compression is happening. I do like how you have to screw the cap with a screwdriver and that it becomes flush with the bottom of the suspension. Seems more secure and less prone of being damaged. I think the top speed is pretty locked in, unless they change the motor somehow... Nobody's been able to verify it but the Monster Pro spec sheet says it has a lift speed of 106kmh, essentially tying it with the Sherman. However it will start to beep at 80% power as opposed to the Sherman's 70%. So even though both wheels can achieve the same speeds, at least with the Monster Pro you'll be able to know where a more realistic limit is compared to the Sherman. Mickey's beeps at 39 are definitely better than the MSP HT, at least for me (I hit beeps at 34-35), so I'm interested to see how it rides in person! 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
