Popular Post Marty Backe
Let the speculations begin. @tinawong just dropped a nice little comment on a recent KS18XL Facebook video posting of mine, suggesting that it would be great if I could test their new wheel in 2020. Zero details. Of course we would expect a new wheel this coming year, but it's nice to have confirmation that something definitive is in the works. So what do you think it'll be? Or maybe someone already knows and I'm just out of the loop Although the 16X had a rocky start, I'm loving mine, and the 18XL has a solid reputation. So KingSong seems to be on a roll with their current lineup.
EUC Custom Power-Pads
KS16XS The most important question is, will it be faster than 50 km/h and be an upgrade to 16X? Of course with at least 16x3.0 tires.

According to my contact at King Song the KS-16XS is the (just released) "small" version... 777 Wh (in a single battery pack) and a different control board (designed for the single battery). Not quite what I would consider a "new wheel".
Mortal Coil
I wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing specialised EUCs coming onto the market at some point. eg. mountain bike equivalents - rugged with a wide knobbly tyre or high speed road bike equivalents - light and streamlined with a large diameter narrow slick tyre. As for Kingsong’s new wheel? I suppose they’d be due for a new 10 - 14” last miler.
Nic
KS-18X maybe? They do tend to stick with a family of similar style wheels... 3 hours ago, The Fat Unicyclist said: According to my contact at King Song the KS-16XS is the (just released) "small" version... 777 Wh (in a single battery pack) and a different control board (designed for the single battery). null
I’d like: - refreshed 16S with 18xl style housing, better light, 84v. - 18xxl if possible - 14x sounds good to add confort to 14 inch.

As for @Marty Backe I am not at all supprised Tina reached out to you. Inmotion are to announce their new megababy on the 7th. So the smart move would be poking a tiny pr stick in Inmotions news flow. As for wishes... I don't even bother. As a simple commuter and occasional off-road tail rides, I am happy with my KS16X if it had a read proper weather seal. I do have a few minor improvements but they are unlikely to meet a end product in the making. But for people wishing for high speeds, just so you know, it can prevent sales in EU countries as more countries have laws on top speed and weight limitations. It matters less what you think. Unless you can get a new public opinion to work for you. IMHO high-speed aggressive riding in cities, is not helping out to get more pragmatic laws from an EUC riders wishes. So back to main topic. @Seba and @Marty Backe and @Jason McNeil, please keep us posted with a tiny news bone now and then😘 and Happy New year to all. 🍾🥂✨

So whether a new wheel goes 20-mph or 40-mph, it's still "illegal". So I don't think we should argue about whether a new wheel should go X or Y speed. They're all going to be illegal. I'm not looking for more speed. Just a new design - maybe more battery capacity. Any new wheel is a great wheel
Daley1
I think any new wheel version 2 is a great wheel. Not a fan of beta testing or playing chin music on the asphalt! This year could be the year of the Monster! Or the KS xl v2. Decisions,Decisions
Unventor
2 hours ago, Daley1 said: This year could be the year of the Monster! Or the KS xl v2. Decisions,Decisions Well the 18XL got an upgrade recently. Moving from stress lift sensor to digital switch like KS16X. Also new motor configuration from 2000W to a "2200"W. So for KS to talk new wheel it got to be a bigger change than that.

Oh, I agree... My post was more to to confirm the details of the 16XS that @buell47 mentioned. As for "new" new wheels... I believe that Inmotion are working on suspension, so I it wouldn't be a surprise if other manufacturers were too! Including KS (as mentioned by @Aneta). And it might also be time for a 14" refresh (the 14X as suggested by @Michael Tucker. Whatever pans out, I hope they keep the good points that have been introduced recently... lift sensors for cut-off, open inner-shells under the pdeal hangers, awesome headlights (with high and low beam), nitrous-oxide injection - oops, sorry - that one is an exclusive Roll.nz option only...
onkeldanuel
Perhaps an answer to Inmotions upcoming V20/VX which will be probably shown at CES next Week...and could be perhaps a Gamechanger in EUCs Edited January 1, 2020 by onkeldanuel
Popular Post Brandin J. Mercer
I might swing to other end of the spectrum. I think we need one of the better manufacturers to come up with a $299 entry wheel. It be so much easier convincing people to get their first wheel. I get people stop me all the time and even with the v8. As soon as I say 900 they tune out.
Popular Post mrelwood
If I were working for KS (or any EUC manufacturer), I’d see new models for year 2020 like this: 18XL just got updated with a new motor, and quite recently with a new tire and a tougher inner shell. It shall remain. 16X has been very liked, but still has issues. It isn’t even ready yet. It shall remain. 16S has sold great but is old. Previous minor upgrades were a year ago. Hmm. 14S has sold well, but is ancient. Hmmm. Inmotion V8 is said to be the most sold EUC model in the world. Hmmmm. V8F just came out. Hmmmmm. I truly believe will will see successors to either 16S or 14S, or both. Or something new that’s light and portable. Too much money in it to skip them any more.
