Still not as easy as an ordinary handle, but it's actually not that bad for me (I have big hands though).

Damn you Rywokast, you made me leave me chair and go lift my wheel! And I have a beer open!! *mutters* some people.. Anyway, there's a definitive ridge to the handle, so you'll find some purchase there. What I noted now though when I lift it is that with the resulting angle it will for me hang off my hand, so I pretty much don't need to use any fingers at all, but can mostly let it dangle..

zenleetech
What do you guys think of this? Could I travel around the world on my EUC using Space A flights? Would it be safe to bring my EUC on a flight? My disability is not related to mobility, so I'm not sure if they would allow it or give me hard time. JAPAN would be lit!!! You didn't mention your device has 1600Wh Lithium-Ion Battery pack. I think you need to mention that.

meepmeepmayer
Gotway batteries have always been flawless. I can't remember a single reported problem or issue with them. So it would be safe. As safe as transporting properly packaged explosives. Nothing wrong with it in general, you don't need to have a bad conscience or anything. But you should definitely inform the people so they can decide what they think is right. They are responsible for the plane after all. On normal passenger flights, such batteries would not be allowed according to international IATA rules. No ADA or anything will change that. But the military has their own rules so maybe they'll allow bigger batteries. Keep us informed

litewave
4 hours ago, zenleetech said: Asking them now, thanks:) It could depend on the base you fly from, but in general, I think the USAF is very capable of handling unusual payloads, and far easier to deal with than commercial aviation regulations.
zenleetech
@Rywokast It's a military flight from an Air Force Base. Space-A is open to disabled veterans such as myself, meaning if they have space on a specific flight I could jump on.

Popular Post Ben Kim
This Nikola seems too badass to pass up; Mickey Mouse power-on sound aside. Ordered my Nikola Plus 100V! :)
Popular Post edwin_rm
Went for a ride today on my brand new Nikola 100v 1854wh. I am quite pleased with it's uphill climbing ability. Interesting thing to note: the pedals are very hard. I set them to soft mode (my preferred riding mode) but it definitely can't be set as soft as older wheels. That took me a bit of getting used to. It certainly has an acclimation period (much like any new wheel does) Also, it needs more padding on the sides than just the stock ones. It is slippery to handle and easy to loose control. In other words, riding without padding is a no-no. Once padded it feels solid. This wheel is fast! I have never rode the 84v model, so I can't compare. Popular Post Jia Liu
First quick impression of Nikola Plus (100v 1845wh): 1. Instead of a sticker at center of the shell, they put a much nicer glassy plastic decal there, of course with the “GW” logo. 2. But, there is a cheap metal foil kind of sticker, “Gotway Nikola”, on the carbon rim, some sharp edges are peeled up, and I got a small cut on my thumb from it, removed it immediately after taking the photo. 3. The handle is tucked in tightly when not used, I don’t expect it will make clicking sound on bumpy road, as reported by Ian at speedy feet. But of course, real verdict needs to come from real riding. 4. The iOS Gotway app connects to the wheel without any issue, all functions and stats seem to work, including setting alarms, riding mode, LED mode and calibration. The fan kicks in around 38-39 c, and I can see the temperature drops quickly, and around 35c, the fan stops. 5. There is a constant humming from the wheel when parked, much louder than my KS18XL. This is my first Gotway wheel, so not sure if it’s normal for all Gotway wheels. Edited July 26, 2019 by Jia Liu 5

There are two Gotway apps in the App Store: one is just called “GotWay” with white background icon and last updated 3 years ago; the other is called “kebye gotway” with dark background icon, and updated 4 month ago. I installed the second one. My phone is iPhone X with 12.4 iOS, if that helps. 1
Popular Post zenleetech
Made a few bucks on my Nikola, been doing a few postmates runs here and there. Today had to deliver an apple watch, which was unusual as normally it's been food items, but it paid a lil extra and I could take my time with the delivery. Got to ride thru town seeing new sights, Vegas is pretty bike friendly for the most part, but a few sketch parts. Don't know how fossil fueled postmates drivers make any money! posted a short vid of it on insta: https://www.instagram.com/p/B0Y-LvGHHmK/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Edited July 27, 2019 by zenleetech
meepmeepmayer
@zenleetech Cool use of a wheel! Looks like you enjoyed it. Though the pay seems to be bad for the time you have to put into it There's some other guys doing deliveries on EUCs: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=electric+unicycle+delivery
