He is probably not going to like that, and you'll likely get a call from the police or family services.

I frequently ride my 18XL (previously MSuper V2 and IPS 191 Lhotz) for grocery shopping. I always take the EUC with me into the store, but instead of trolleying it in the store, I place it in the shopping cart. https://youtu.be/gBE2GC4UZWk?t=1001

That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen! ;)

Why the hell don't you at least drive to the entrance with the EUC and the shopping cart if you don't stay on the EUC while shopping and push the shopping cart with it? :efee612b4b:

went for pretty chill late night ride, didn't want to get off, every now and then I need to stop because my feet fall asleep (like when you sit on toilet too long)
not sure it's my shoes or position-

today was the first day I got beeps, they scarred me a bit, came back and did some research trying to find out what they mean-
is this a correct guide? (also watched the respect the beep video by miami)

  1. first speed alarm, 2 beeps per second
  2. second speed alarm, 3 beeps per second
  3. third speed alarm, 4 beeps per second
  4. 80% power alarm, 5 beeps per second(continuously non-stop beeping without pause)
  5. less than 7.2km/h, low voltage,1 beep every 2 seconds
  6. less than 14.4km/h, low voltage, 2 beeps  every 2 seconds
  7. more than 14.4km/h, low voltage, 3 beeps every 2 seconds
  8. hall sensor defect, 2 beeps every 1/2 seconds
  9. PCB high temperature alarm, 2 short beep 2 seconds, tilt back to get rider off the EUC, tilting back and forward after stopped
  10. extreme low voltage power on,1 beep 1 second,totally 5 beep
  11. fall down,1 beep 1 second, total of 5 beeps
  12. over voltage, 3 short beep 2 second, tilt back when riding downhill

The one that worried me the most was the three beeps, I wasn't going that fast, but was trying to accelerate rapidly

I think you missed the joke... read the original quote again.   I have no problem with young people riding, the sooner the better.

That 80% beep is probably going to be the most important beep to keep tabs on; I have yet to come close to draining the 1680Wh battery on my 18S, and I can't imagine myself draining a larger battery any faster!

See inline text.

Beeps depend on rider weight and a bit on tire pressure.

I've bothered with measuring gps speed on different beeps (with android wear watch). For my 108kg:

1st beep (single) -- at 28km/h
2nd beep (double) -- at 30km/h
3d beep (triple) -- at 32km/h

80% power alarm, 5 beeps per second -- encountered once on half-empty battery, speed was around 45km/h according to gps data.

I don’t think they do though, and there is not even a way for the wheel to know those variables. The ”80%” beep depends on battery level, which is of course dependant on charge level and the current strain level. But aren’t the other beeps stricktly speed based warnings?

Well that’s disheartening. They’re job is to protect patrons and their cars which is understandable but they could have used some simple diplomacy when approaching you. It must have a slow (Oceans 11) crime stoppers day.

@zenleetech Quite the story:D Glad you enjoy the wheel. And I see nothing wrong with being a dick to people who started it. I'd rather have EUCers seen as badass than as pushovers and easy victims. First impressions matter!

Contact Jason at ewheels for the affiliate stuff. Why not! There's lots of people who do that.

It looks like beeps (on Nikola at least) depend on voltage, not speed. Of course it's just an assumption, more measurements needed.

That would be an interesting change. So far the first and second beep have been tied to speed only, but the speeds of course vary between models. Interesting to hear how your further testing goes.

The beep I was getting mostly was at 30kph and it wouldn't stop until I dropped in speed. Found out how to disable it
on app, was listed as tier 1 alarm I think.

Haven't found anybody in Vegas to ride with, checked meet-up for some events and there is nothing, might need to get one going.
Feel like I'm the only EUC rider here, but one person I ran into said he's seen somebody else cruising around on one, the hunt for
a riding buddy begins :)

So I went from wanting to sell the wheel to never wanting to let it go...appreciate you guys!

Been riding around a lot and tonight had some positive and negative adventures.

On positive side I'm meeting lots of new people, and made some new friends.
Think I've sold a few people on buying a wheel, need to get my affiliate going so I can pay off the loan on mine:0

On the negative side I was chased by security guards through a casino parking lot: one was on bike and one was on electric three wheel scooter.
They were screaming at me to 'get out!'.

The Casino is place I normally go to play poker and gamble a bit, was scouting it out on the and getting comfortable with driving
in the area. Before the chase began I drove up to the guy on the scooter at walking speed and jokingly said do you want to 'race?'. On refection I probably shouldn't
have done that but was driving super slow and being safe and just joking with him and didn't speed off, rode directly to the entrance from their to see if i could.
They probably saw me as a risk, but I wasn't doing anything crazy and driving below speed limit. Almost want to complain to management, but I'm probably
in the wrong even though it didn't feel that way.

Was definitely triggered because instead of just talking to me they chased me and were screaming.
I was being ultra cautious and not harming anybody and wanted to return to the casino but now I'm not feeling safe about it.
Had anxiety attack on the wheel and got a bit shaky, had to stop and find place to sit down for awhile.

On the bright side of the chase, I smoked them, not even a contest and even decided to rub it in a bit doing loops around them:) i wasn't a
dick until they provoked me (imo).

Need to make sure I'm a positive member of community and not making euc riders look bad. My apologize for the negative parts!

Were you riding with the LED ring lights on. I have found, for some reason, ALL of my negative interactions with people have been on devices that have the  LEDs on; Ninebot One E+, Mten3, KS18XL, Monster. The moment I cover-up or turn them off, I never again have any bad interactions with people. I guess the lights make people think you're a trouble maker or on some silly toy. Kids love the lights, but not adults.

I also noticed this trend with adults as soon as all the Toys R Us stores closed doors after they went bankrupt. Kids love the lights cause it reminds them of the song, I don't want to grow up, I'm a Toys R us Kid :whistling:

I'm asking because I evaluate the case where I need to go up or down few steps
(my KS18XL can be lifted with one hand)

yea of course you can see it in a lot of videos, but it would require a lot more hand strength than something you can wrap your whole hand around like a kingsong handle.. you can test it on any euc just pick up your ks with your fingers only, keep your fingers flat dont wrap them around the handle at all perfectly flat and thats what it would be like lifting the nikola, its definitely harder lol just depends on your personal strength.. a few steps is nothing but if you needed to go up five flights of stairs twice daily i might rethink it haha

I will stay on my KS18XL ...
I'm asking because I try to image how hard will be for a woman to lift it.

do you have video link about this ?
how do you owners of Nikola solve this ?

you can see it in a lot of review videos.. no need to imagine it just get her to try lifting the KS18XL with only her fingers like i said see if she can do it easily enough.. they weigh the same.. there is no possible way to get around it lol, you either lift it with two hands which would just be extremely awkward, or have the strength to do it with one.. if you cant, then i guess you would need to hit up the gym xD there is also the slightly less tiring way of lifting any wheel which is grabbing it with your non dominant hand from the handle, and then with your dominant hand cup it around the bottom of the pedal and lift, people often employ this method to get it into a truck or their car trunk etc as you know while lifting something 50 lbs at waist level may be hard, if thats hard for you its gonna be damn near impossible for you to lift it up to your head, whereas with this method its easy

Thanks got an idea now how hard is.
it's not comfortable but possible.

i just remembered that marty has a video on this technique.. unsurprisingly xD yes exactly like anyone can carry an inmotion V5, but a lot less can carry it for ten mins straight or lift it above their head.. i think carrying it for under a minute or up a few stairs should be no issues
