So, riding on my MSX by the river, came off after getting bogged down in the sand, went down slow speed, came up couldn't find my wheel. Guy that saw the whole thing happen said it went towards the river... so we went for a look and BAAM! could see red light glowing about 5 ft down... "Man are you kidding me?" I did not want to dive 6ft down to retrieve a 24Kg wheel, already dressed like Batman with questionable undergarment integrity for the public to see. "No, not today", The taxi home was a very hollow experience indeed. Next day this dude who alluded to doing so actually went to fetch it from the river! HE called me, I picked it up, gave him some money took it home to dry out... but.. Upon closer examination after 12 hrs in it... electrolytic corrosion was evident on USB port and it was terrible looking... and that meant the whole thing was the same inside. I instantly knew, a complete Write off, didnt wheel freely at all seemed magnetically inhibited. Leaned it up outside on my enclosed patio and after 4 days.. get ready... some mf stole it. Phwahaaaa . Now Thats how to dispose of a wheel, good luck to them, they're going to need it. There are beautiful riding paths all over our little corner of the world and we're just starting discover them.
