litewave
Sorry, but this is dumb. The wheel has a big motor, a robust frame and shell, and a big-A battery. Of course it's heavy. Deal with it.

onizukagto
Found a size comparison video on bookface. Screen_Recording_20220902-140417_Facebook.mp4 Actually didn't look that massive in comparison to the S20/22 and Sherman. Link: https://fb.watch/fhlI2scNds/ Edit: just noticed the panel at the top of the side panel is off. You can pause the video and see two "holes", if I was to speculate.... Perhaps that is how you can adjust the suspension? Food for thought... Popular Post Unventor
On 8/29/2022 at 5:58 AM, NSFW said: What is Inmotion's track record regarding the quality of newly released wheels? I mean, can people who pre-order reasonably expect to get a solid product, or should we expect some first-batch quality/reliability issues like King Song had with their S22? it matters not at all. If you have these concerns you will never be able to by a newly released wheel. To understand why I have this opinion, here comes the long explanation. For the shorter one jump to last section. if we go back a few years people could walk/run of the wheel if something happen. but whit the speeds and pedal height and how people push the wheels this is not possible anymore. This is when the new riders have a problem. Because what feels safe make the rider to push wheels more and forget there is no backup plan in an EUC. Now we always say do not push your wheel until you know it limits. but is harder to know these are to push them you will be in a unsafe situation by default. this is why I put the question out there some time back where is fast enough for EUCs? The other day someone posted an accident picture with a open wound to the knee/bone. estimated 1 year recovery. He had knee pads on but the broke by the impact. This was done on a sherman. So even a model that has been around can find problems. Rider said it was 100% driver fault/error. Now with those silly preorder-in my book- where people were buying the S20/S22 on preorders, with no wheel to show for a long time, you really cannot blame manufactures for releasing wheels too fast. Because people are screaming for it.Yes I preorder wheels in advance but not until we had a first review or I had information direct from people inside the company. buying preorder on looks and roamers, is just silly to me. so to mention track records of Inmotion. The V10f had a water proof issue, once known it was dealt with from inmotion, either by self service or recall to reseller. The V11 had a bearing problem for some, Inmotion tried different solution but it was more complex to solve this. a lot of other feedback issues got solved fast and though iteration of batched. At some point mosfets didn't hold the quality as expected in the pandemic, here components were difficult to sourse. this might be ungoing still, but hopefully this is resolved at global situation is getting better by the day. Some had had airleaks on air shock systems, but how they have been abused or not is unclear to me. The V8f didn't seem to have any issues at all. On the side note I don't think the V8 had issues either which is if not the biggest seller of all times still, then it is very close. Both the V8 and V8f has their limits. The V12 suffered by same mosfet quality problem, and a design that could have worked out but didn't due to components sourcing issues. It has been a solution long underway. Also some feedback stuff has been done but the biggest problem to get a solution is global components situation. I Have been in talk with Inmotion around Easter we had a webcam meeting, 5-8 people from Inmotion with CEO among them. I don't recall the exact numbers an not all were on camera. The design of the V13 is coming from a very different design philosophy. It is build to be the best they can do and shape and size is a secondary thing. I do expect a few minor thing that can be improved, but overall it should be a solid build. but riding at 100kmh that is only for brave souls in special places. I cannot see anyone doing this in traffic in they are following law and common sense. Those that oppose me, great so how do you deal with a instant puncture at those speed on an EUC? please just enlighten me and share a video of how you do at 50kmh. Anyway, there are so many things other EUCs didn't do to reach this limit that Inmotion has addressed so I am confident the V13 is as safe as it can be right now with technology available, but is that safe for any speeds I think not. 3

Much easier for V12 and ready for V13 too ... And as I don't have car (that's why I have EUC in a first place), I don't need to worry about foldable ramps. rebeuc
Took me a few watches to figure out what fell off. Looks like that was the rear mudguard. All the footage I have seen of that thing look like it's just attached on a two-post hinge and can freely flap around; that seems a bit odd to me as I am used to wheel mudguards being a bit more rigid, but in any event of all the things that could fail that's probably the least important.
techyiam
That was a pretty brutal crash test. Unlike dirt, there is no give in the steps or railings at impact. Basically, all the impact force have to dealt with by the wheel. The mud guard came off may or may not be a feature. But you can't tell until you look at it more closely. The rear guard only came off after the wheel landed directly on the mud guard on the landing.
