Popular Post Jonathan Tolhurst
More tricks on the electric unicycle - this time from Pollards Hill Skate Park in South London. This facility is perfect for electric unicycling with a good selection of ramps, slopes, ledges and transitions. I have also included a raised wall roll around the lake in Wandle Park which was great fun to try! 1

Popular Post Jeffrey Scott Will
I've been hanging out with the solowheel folks lately, and I've got to say the Xtreme is a lot of fun! Once you get used to the soft springy firmware, there are some perks you grow to like. And I would rank it as the most comfortable ergonomic ride of all the wheels I've tried. Battery life needs some work, but 160wh goes a lot further than I expected compared to my old x8's 174wh. Pedals are unexpectedly high and generously lengthy, contact point with leg is high, shell is very narrow, 18" tire is a meaty 2.5"... All these things together make it a *dream* to carve down pathways. Also surprisingly... The thing really flung me up hills with plenty of speed and torque. Flat land gives top speed of 24-25kph- about like my KS14c 500w. Braking is FUN when you get used to it. You basically throw the wheel in front of you and the softness really kicks in so that the pedals align with your body so it feels like it's catching you. Some people aren't going to like this, but I've never been all that seduced by super stiff firmware. If I had my way, I'd stiffen it up just a tad, though. Or at least offer he option for off-road/rougher terrain. Price still needs to come down considerably.

Actually, we have another thread, tricks dedicated.

This is a good video to show the differences in equal power and weight devices. Of course, there are much more powerful wheels out there, but comparing apples to apples, this was done well. SuperSport
That's a cool bridge, but odd not seeing railings on it. Here in California, there would be huge protests insisting on railings. Here, they eventually want everyone to be wearing bubble wrap 24/7 so they can claim they are protecting you. And, at the same time, they want to release mass murders because they had a tough upbringing. Definitely a strange state to live in...
Planetpapi
Soccer fields are great for testing speed for me. Felt safer on soft ground than on concrete. 5 hours ago, SuperSport said: That's a cool bridge, but odd not seeing railings on it. Love it - glad to see you guys made it safely all the way there. Do you guys have any helmet laws where you live? I wonder if it might be good for your daughter to wear one at least...
