The undeniable fact is that even with the top four 'best' manufacturers, with loads of experience, there's simply isn't an ingrained sense of the importance of absolute thoroughness in testing. Facts-are-facts, best to try to manage the situation responsibly. Gotway specifically seems to need some kind of process/inventory monitoring and management (whatever the official word is) first! I don't think they lied to you, just confused the boards. But yeah, testing might have found the error too. Popular Post esaj
Do they have version control for the firmware at all? Maybe they thought they had the bug figured out and fixed, but it makes me wonder... why not just roll back to a known good version? If they can't reproduce the problem themselves, I hope they aren't just blindly trying to fix it without testing.

If they can't reproduce the problem themselves, I hope they aren't just blindly trying to fix it without testing. In another recent GW dialog, I stipulated that a minimum requirement for future order is that the BT module has the capability to pull the FW version from the board. Apparently it's not possible, because the module does not have low level function access. Compromise position is that the FW rev number will be printed on the box label. Similarly, I request that Distributors be given instructions/equipment for flashing when necessary. They're reluctant (in fact refused!) on the basis that the code could then potentially be used by rivals—in this existential crisis of credibility, this is the least of their worries right now! Can you tell me more about how you got the oscillations?.. The reason is that I have received my MSuper 1600 3 days ago and I am worried, but I can't tell if I have an affected wheel.. I have driven 35Km total under all kinds of conditions but mine is still solid. But nevertheless I am not 100% confident!! Wheel code 1705 and serial 170609 Hope you'll get well soon and are able to drive the new machine after having it fixed, hopefully soon.. See my just published video. You can see the crash perfectly and what the riding conditions were like. I would be worried if I were you, unless your wheel was made prior to April/May. Mine was a QC stamp of May 5th.

Second guess: There's no test concept in place. This is a problem we see at all EUC companies.

But maybe they'll come out with a low profile version some day.

You may want to check the Facebook groups. There has been a lot of discussion there too. I seem to remember an ACM having this problem, but I'm not positive.

In my opinion of course.

A few days ago it was said here that a smaller new design of the 18 (best guess is like a bigger KS14D/KS16) is coming. Unlikely to be soon, but it is coming. 1 hour ago, eddiemoy said: I just ordered a ACMs+, does this issue affect the ACMs+? Any reports of the oscillation issue with ACMs+? I believe I heard there that ACMs are affected too. Not sure. At this point, I would assume ACM is affected until you get the guarantee it isn't.
