First time trying out the upgraded photos option in EUC World, Havelock North NZ.

Well I see you got the 0kmh "bug" 😁 You can make some crazy things with the filter function too.

So...last night (and very early this morning) I rode my Monster to a spot where I wondered if the Milky Way might by photographable in the midnight clear sky.

@meepmeepmayerdoesn't like my night photos of where I shoot and it was close to pitch black (between the street lamps) on the Causeway to Marblehead so I'd not attempted to image the Monster after a fifteen minute ride from the apt.

One time lapse picture looking across the ocean shows Saturn and Jupiter and the coastline but the Milky Way (to the right of Jupiter) was washed out in the light polution.

One of several test images showed a meteor trail!

Possibly a last meteor from the Perseids (ending Aug 24 @ 1 meteor per hour)?

During that time a couple of girls traveled by on bicycles giggling about how they could hardly see and a man on foot, who switched to the opposite side of the road after spotting my camera atop the sea wall, were also out in the midnight light.

I took the rail trail back to Salem on the Monster about 1 am. Monster has a good headlight and I wore a red LED head mounted light that I use while setting up the camera for photographing.

That picture looks very cool. Like an Alien/killer robot would see it on their display. Or like an image reconstructed by some spy method or after the nuclear apocalypse.

Sort of a humorous thought actually

China record floods wet feet of Leshan Giant Buddha - BBC News

I read that this has been a bad month for annual flooding in China. The Leshan Giant Buddha's feet even got wet.

The restored Buddha is huge and carved out of the rock.

My Monster mainboard that originally shipped before replacing the shell, a battery, pedals and motor has turned 20,000 km.

Flooding in China was videoed by YouTubers in Chengdu, Chongqing.

I rode to the tip of Plum Island this afternoon. Lot's of cars (dust) and cyclists.

Sandy Point, Plum Island

A pilot flew some stunts overhead:

I managed to find the aircraft/owner from a partial tail number search and an aircraft type (Extra) Id'd by Google lens. Here's the flight following

Performing tricks like that on a porch so close to that pond would scare the sh*t out of me.
