Bob Eisenman
So...last night (and very early this morning) I rode my Monster to a spot where I wondered if the Milky Way might by photographable in the midnight clear sky. @meepmeepmayerdoesn't like my night photos of where I shoot and it was close to pitch black (between the street lamps) on the Causeway to Marblehead so I'd not attempted to image the Monster after a fifteen minute ride from the apt. One time lapse picture looking across the ocean shows Saturn and Jupiter and the coastline but the Milky Way (to the right of Jupiter) was washed out in the light polution. One of several test images showed a meteor trail! Possibly a last meteor from the Perseids (ending Aug 24 @ 1 meteor per hour)? During that time a couple of girls traveled by on bicycles giggling about how they could hardly see and a man on foot, who switched to the opposite side of the road after spotting my camera atop the sea wall, were also out in the midnight light. I took the rail trail back to Salem on the Monster about 1 am. Monster has a good headlight and I wore a red LED head mounted light that I use while setting up the camera for photographing. The Leshan Giant Buddha's feet even got wet. The restored Buddha is huge and carved out of the rock. My Monster mainboard that originally shipped before replacing the shell, a battery, pedals and motor has turned 20,000 km. Popular Post Bob Eisenman
Night ride to Patton Park https://youtu.be/ACqzevjK2DQ Update: on the return ride, in the town of Beverly, I was doing about 10-15 mph in the bike lane when I was passed by another electric unicyclist using the middle of the mostly empty road. He was going about 25 or more mph. Not sure what type of euc it was but he shouted something as he passed....sounded really stoked.. At the risk of sounding facetious (which I am) and cocky (which I am also) There was chocolate in the cup (only half), it's only my second week with the V8F and yes there is a 15 feet drop if I let go of the Wheel! I can relate to your post, I felt the same way when I first discovered Hirsute four years ago ( I mean "the man is crazy"). Since I acquired my first wheel 3 1/2 years ago 90% of my mileage is tricks, I ride around 30 minutes nearly everyday in the summer and I train systematically. I think anyone in decent physical condition can perform similar tricks comfortably with proper training and perseverance...
