Popular Post Aneta
HELL YEAH!!! Rockwheel is alive? Or Iron Korea is a totally different company? Waiting for more details. How is the motor 3000W - does it have 50% wider magnets? What cells are used in that 1140/2280Wh battery (22s4p/22s8p)? P.S. Realized that 92.4V = 22s, not 24s, so the cell capacity comes to 1140/22/4/3.7 = 3500mAh, so cells are Sanyo GA, same as on Rockwheel GT16 V3 (1036Wh, 20s4p). Popular Post Aneta
69km/h: (max speed still unknown) Idling speed 94km/h: This is great - for conservative riders like me (I limit myself to 25km/h for safety reasons) the high spin-out speed means that the max motor thrust is virtually flat in 0-25km/h interval.

Rockwheel is alive, making electric bikes (GT20 and GW20), but they stopped making electric unicycles. The first video description says: IRON KOREA is a brand launched in Korea by the transfer of ROCKWHEEL technology.
Aneta
Well, I still hope that Rockwheel will use e-bikes sales to build up the funds to resurrect their hoverwheel production and R&D. I'm very happy with my GT16, and its genius simple and clean/compartmentalized internal layout is very inviting for DIY mods. I've already done some, like bypassing the charging wires not through controller (since they don't connect to controller at all, they just use the controller as a bridge from one side to the other) and drilled holes through covers to eliminate the need to remove covers to remove the motor for tire fix (I'll make a latch to access phase/Hall connectors; for now, I still have to remove one cover to disconnect them). ir_fuel
specs: Those specs are pure madness. Glad they seem to have improved the shell too.
UniVehje
Interesting news! Is that a 16x2.5 tire? No trolley handle? Good to keep the competition going. This wheel will probably not have fit and finish and all the features of the latest performance wheels, but those specs will keep GW and KS improving.
Popular Post BA-B8
The shell looks too bulky with that tire. Should give it a beefier wide tire to match.
Aneta
They simply stretched GT16's shell horizontally to fit four 11s2p packs on each side (or maybe there are two 22s2p packs on each side; GT16 has two 10s2p packs on each side, connected in series, but with proper BMS for the whole 20s2p battery on each side). Now the shell overhangs the wheel much more on the front and back, making for natural mudflaps. Yes, it's kinda ugly, but the beauty of GT16's or Iron-100's design is that they are 100% symmetrical and perfectly balanced, and have a low center of gravity (batteries don't extend higher than the top of tire). It's also much much simpler to disassemble than any other hoverwheel. I agree, it should have 3" tire... The original GT16 was also a steal in terms of performance, but it lacked fit and finish. The case was very fragile and the paint quality was a disaster. Popular Post Michael Tucker
For United States customers, this wheel may be a good deal as it is hopefully made in and ships from Korea and therefore bypasses the current 25% Chinese tariffs in place.

Can you change your username to English letters because Chinese makes it impossible to "ping" you in posts by using @ symbol? (at least, for us with non-Asian keyboards) 2. Is the controller the same as in GT16? If not, are you making it? Do you have pictures of the controller? 3. Is your company the Rockwheel "replacement" or completely independent/new? Did you reach some kind of agreement with Rockwheel to use their designs? 4. What exact cells are used in the battery? Does it have the same BMS as GT16, is it the same or similar to Gotway's? 5. What's the tire width? 2.125" like on GT16? Why not 3" for such a powerful hoverwheel? 6. What's the charger's current? 7. Is the shell made of metal? 8. Is manufacturing in China, or Korea? 9. Is Rockwheel officially dead (at least, for making hoverwheels)? Or they may come back? 10. Will there be all major replacement parts (controller, motor, battery, etc.) available for purchase, too? Michael Tucker
I'm definitely interested in this wheel. It's weird and ugly but looks like it performs sharply. That rear light is great too! Also I would wait for U.S. riders to test and beta this thing for a few months before I would consider buying. I would hope for a thousand dollar price tag.
