I know I am not supposed to feed them, but their cuteness is irresistible. Now one sit on my nap, one sit on my shoulder, another would help himself with nuts in my pouch. I see having a relationship with these squirrels a privilege. "I am not feeding them" but enjoying their great company as "equals" or "guests." Until they steal your EUC.
Scubadragonsan
Now that would really cause a news media reaction.... "...a squirrel is seen riding a stolen EUC at an unbelievable high speed through the park!"
Popular Post Kristof Willen
Last weekend, a car rode behind me while I was riding to the store. Fast forward 20 minutes later, where we by chance left the store almost together. He told me : Incredible how you're driving that wheel at that speed; I was riding 45 kmh tailing you. You should consider working for the Cirque du Soleil with that device ! Made my day.
Carl Svanfelt
I have been interviewed about EUCs on Finnish radio. I got over 10 minutes of talk time. The interview was done in the Finnish language, but my message to the audience can be found on my blog in English: https://www.carlviktor.art/blog/on-the-radio

Such a strange comment. Were you doing annoying things? Or did he think the mere existence of an EUC was annoying?
Tawpie
I was slowly going back and forth at the very end of a paved multi-use trail (cuz there's no other traffic at the end) trying to figure out the balance point for 1 leg riding so I can reposition my foot. I guess the repetition could be annoying? I got the impression he might have been there looking for missing marbles, so apologized profusely and went elsewhere. It is what it is.

Tawpie
US slang... when a person stops behaving quite as expected, they have "lost their marbles". It's a nicer way of saying they're not all there mentally and likely comes from the intent but confused appearance a person has when they are looking for marbles that rolled away. A similar slang term is "lights on, nobody home".

Popular Post Kristof Willen
Another funny one: I was at the local bakery, putting my gloves on before heading home, when suddenly an elderly woman in an electric wheelchair passed by. She exclaimed : "Oh, that looks marvellous ! You're going to ride that ?" When I confirmed, she said : "Sweetheart, you're making me sooo jealous!". Made me chuckle... We kept chatting for a while, she was very interested how it felt to ride an EUC; turned out she suffered from MS. Elderly people always react very enthusiast on EUCs...
Ek.
Yesterday I went for an off-road ride on a single track MTB trail near work. On my way back down I passed a cyclist going up. She said “that’s some skills there!” Made me happy
Carl Svanfelt
I ride past a school almost daily. So I usually hear comments like: "Look the man from the future!" or "Wow, MacGyver!" But one day when I was filming with the Insta360 One X2 camera with the longest selfie stick, a guy shouted after me "Hey there, now it looks a little too fancy!"

Popular Post Lateralus
I'm now wondering if they were checking out my friend or her unicycle. They didn't pay as much attention to me, maybe they just prefer Kingsong wheels to my Gotway

EUCGUY
One of the most amazed people out there goto be the small kids who are in the act of learning how to ride a bike. Seeing someone just stand there on a single wheel. Most of them stare with there mouth open, id do the same if i where them. haha
.....
oh wow, what IS that thing? You mean its got music on it too? Ride around and let me film it, my 9 yo grandson has been bugging me about one. $2000? Wow, maybe I'll just buy him a skateboard.... Popular Post Kagenin
Taking this thing by the local middle school, it's always fun to hear the colorful language 12- and 13-year-old use. I've fielded the question "Did you invent that?" a few times. It's cute when a kid says it. I dunno how to react when an adult asks. I've been paced and recorded on someone's phone while they were driving. I don't do the book of faces, so I'm not sure how much folks are talking about me. The park nearby has a disc golf course and a skate park. The skate park kids seem to love watching me go down the stairs as much as I love doing it. The park gets crowded though, so off-roading around the disc golf course tends to be how I love to cut loose on this thing. The other day, someone hanging out near the picnic tables saw me approach and jumped up, ran over about 20 feet from them, and stood out with his arm up, eagerly expecting a high-five. Oh, I'm all about epic high-fives. We slapped palms, and it was epic, but the impact put my wheel into a slightly awkward pitch on the loose chipped wood ground cover. But I pulled it out. "Nice recovery!" I heard shouted at me. I just pumped my fist in the air and whooped. It put a grin on my face for a good bit of time after.
Popular Post RockyTop
My best reaction was _ " What is this!? ..... Another Wheel!? ...... I am buying those weather guard floor mats for my car and I don't want to hear any complaining about it!!" I guess you probably didn't mean best reaction from my wife though.

Thankfully my wife hasn‘t given me any grief lately but my orthopedist friend stopped by last week.....totally unaware I was still riding. He commented “ The ER is patiently waiting for my return”. UGH
