  1. Haha just misses the cat screeching at the end
  2. Everything seems to be going nicely. I second what @atdlzpae says above! A few more random tips: Not on grass! Pavement. Go fast, not slow. Walking speed is extremely hard. 15+ kph is a breeze in comparison. Be aware of the principles of how a EUC works. They react to your center of gravity. If you are standing on the wheel, still while holding on to something, relaxed, you should be neutral. If the stance makes you move, that is an imbalance you will constantly have to fight against while riding, making you tense and unrelaxed, making everything harder. Enjoy the process, you only get it once Go fast. Seriously. A lot of new riders make it hard for themselves because they think walking speed is where it's at and they slow down when they get wobbly instead of speeding up to stabilize.
  3. Damn wow! I might have more to say once I look at this more, but... damn wow!
  4. You don't sue them, you threaten to report them to a competition regulator. I don't think a tiny Chinese company with sketchy electronics (do wheels really fulfill all regulations?) or one small distributor would like that attention. Can get expensive fast, I believe. Anyways, you would only have to do that if you bought from another EU country and they give you trouble for it (inter-EU geoblocking or so). The exclusivity deal isn't disallowed on its own, only preventing inter-EU competition. If Inmotion has some dumb exclusivity deal in France, you can just buy your IM wheels from another EU country if you're French. I'm no lawyer too.
  5. No, 100V and 84V are always different boards.
  6. I don't know, but it might very well be that everyone who tries a suspension wheel just can't go back to a wheel without suspension.I would absolutely not be surprised by that. The 3 inch wide tire wheels may be more comfortable than the old 2.125 unpleasant "like on hard board" ones, but that doesn't mean there isn't air upward. Probably a lot. Even the latest wheels have horrible ergonomics if you think about it (unadjustable pedal angle, people having to add power pads to exert serious force, random plastic shapes instead of something shaped matching your legs) and could be so much better (less worse, really). Suspension might be another thing you won't want to miss after you felt it. Who knows. As far as this Veteran wheel goes, it has no suspension, and it's also very basic and maybe impractical (and just a mock-up for now) - nothing better except the specs (which can be enough though!). Let's see how this works out.
  7. It's like they have a compulsion to shoot themselves in the foot or what? Well, looks like people should buy a GW or KS instead. Luckily, EU means you can just order from any non-French EU store. And if they try any restrictions or geoblocking, you can always tell them you might report them for that. Single market means they can't (at least) arbitrarily do what they want, though I'm not sure about the details and how far they can go.
  8. Yep it's the firmware. Gotway is notoriously protective of their firmware. So one has to wonder how much firmware knowledge an employee can walk away with.
  9. If by "the whole world" you mean "specifically every part of your body below the waist", then yes This thing is almost as painful to look at as the Inmotion offroad prototype.
  10. They had me at 3200Wh Never mind that it's ugly and painfully unergonomic (literally painful - that is a shin killer). Looks like Gotway needs to stop employees walking out with their tech though I bet the GW boss is extremely happy about this... again. Let's see what comes out of this.
  11. Use EUC World (Android) or DarknessBot (Apple) if the shitty Gotway app doesn't do what it is supposed to do. This sounds like simply a tiltback set at 15kph that you need to remove. Not sure what the odometer reset means...
  12. He asked you not to send it, and you did anyways. To be honest, that doesn't speak for you. Anyways, looks like the sale didn't go through, and you'll get your wheel back. Please indicate that the voltage indicates a bad battery pack if you try to sell the wheel again. Nothing wrong with that if you are open about everything. Please edit your first post accordingly.
  13. Yep, tell him to not ship now and try to get the payment cancelled. @Michael Anderson Anything to say?
  14. And you can't cancel the payment?
  15. This will also tell you that the charger is ok; unless both packs charge to the same subpar voltage, then it's likely the charger. I assume you don't have another 84V Gotway charger to test.
  16. Use Paypal or something other with a charge back/dispute option? How did you pay?
  17. Disconnect one pack and see if it charges to full voltage. Same for the other. At least you can identify the bad pack, maybe even get it repaired.
  18. Charging to 81.3V is just a bad battery pack. This has nothing to do with aging.
  19. 18XL and MSP, not bad! Update your list of wheels so everyone knows Easy fix, since you're already on the right way. Just order a suspension wheel (or two).
  20. In my opinion, the V8 isn't a "real" wheel. It's just good enough for you to never realize that because you can live with one and never have any doubts or second thoughts that there might be more to EUCs. But modern performance wheels are on a completely different level. Even my 3 year old ACM is. It's neat machine (V8) vs. serious oomph (the big boys). So I say: get the best wheel you can afford. Don't artificially limit yourself (or be limited by a local shop). Don't buy a "this will surely be good enough" wheel. Get the best, strongest one you can. And then you can get a 2nd wheel like this for your girlfriend soon after
  21. (I moved the new posts into their own topic. It is appreciated that you looked for a topic to post in, but it was from 2016, I think it won't hurt to make a new one) On topic, how fast are you riding when you're going and it works well? Maybe you're simply too slow, that would be a common beginner mistake. Riding slow is hard, riding fast(er) is easy. Don't be afraid to accelerate to 15-20kph right away and brake equally quickly.
  22. Nah, this is good information. So the Monster might have been stealth-upgraded to the MSP motor? You ordered 100V right?
