  1. If it there's a failure on literally the first day, returning the wheel and having the dealer deal with it is the only logical thing to do. Don't open it up or something; or waste your time otherwise (or use it further!). You can even return it without reason in the 14 days after you got the package delivered. EU returns should still apply if you bought from France and you're in Switzerland (not 100% sure if it is for CH citizens or only EU citizens). http://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/consumers/shopping/guarantees-returns/index_de.htm So if the seller does not respond (one day is short, maybe wait a little more - just keep the 14 day period in mind - I believe it's enough if you send it back in the 14 days, it does not have to get back to the seller in this time) you can just send it back, say you want a return (you can still mention the defect but insist on a return) and that's it. Sorry to hear your story, this is what nobody want to happen to them
  2. Some photos from my 3rd mountain ride with my first wheel (ACM 1300Wh, first outdoors ride was last Saturday). Earlier photos can be seen here (scroll down for more): It's the same place (see link), but I went higher up and there it was ice, slush and snow only. The ACM powered through the snow and slush fantastically. -- The Story to go along: #1 Hidden EUC in the picture... can you find it? #2 Same place, looking forwards (uphill) #3 Some further up... you don't even need a stand for your EUC #4 View #5 Can you tell it might be icy? #6 My first actual fall (as opposed to involuntary step down). Turns out hard ice is really slippery, as opposed to melting ice (and you can't see the difference before it's too late). I have a nice big phone-shaped bruise on my upper leg where the phone was in my pocket. This is where I turned around after 1.5 hours of massively demanding (for the wheel) uphill riding (harsh snow, deep ice slush, hard brittle ice, ...). #7 Looking back downhill while processing the fall. -- Everything is good though, it was a strenuous ride (especially going down again, the ice slush had frozen then and I was cautious) but I gave up way before the EUC did (less than 30% battery needed for over 1.5 hours uphill, and I got 8% back downhill). Amazing what these machines can do.
  3. How can he lean the wheel inwards (towards the side his pedal leg is) when riding on one leg (at 0:46 to 0:47)??????????????????? Is it just the curve? Ultra strong grip on the pedal so he does not slide off?
  4. @Marty Backe As always, thanks for the answers and being the forum guinea pig About your knees, get one of those wrap around bandage like stabilizing things, I believe they make quite a difference.
  5. @Marty Backe Wow you are very happy with the new wheel that's obvious! Looks like this might be you new favorite EUC. For these long-and-far big tours you like to do (city into mountains and back etc) it seems perfect (especially if it's more stable). Can I ask some questions for comparison? 1. You say your natural speed is 22 with the monster. What is your natural speed with the other wheels you have (KS14, ACM16, msuper18)? 2. What are the ranges you have in mind regarding your other wheels, compared to the 65 with the monster? 3. Your new jacket is some kind of special motorcycle jacket, or just a leather jacket? 4. What ride time would you consider too long for one go (with no or only very short breaks)? Looks like your typical long rides are about 3h? And the curious scooter boy trying to get into contact with you was cute
  6. @Marty Backe Don't be shy, de-unlist (list?) your new videos so they appear on your channel. I'm sure some people would benefit if they can come across them on yt.
  7. Isn't the ACM and msuperv3 the same motor (both 67 and 84V versions)? Does the 2'' difference in wheel size make such a difference? That's crazy. How is your Kingsong 14'' in comparison? Glad to hear I bought the right wheel for the mountains here! Are you going to use the ACM or monster (after the honeymoon phase of course) for mountains like in your ride videos? Well, that's something then
  8. Surprised to hear you notice lower torque with the monster. It makes sense with the bigger diameter tire, but I still expected the monster to brute force that with power. Oh well, you have your ACM for torque then (it's probably a tiny bit better than the 18'' msuperV3?) -- About the dog, lucky Marty didn't fall! This is a prime example of a bad dog owner - no leash, barely any reaction other than a weak shout (does not look like she has authority over the dog).If you had confronted her, I expect she would have been indignant and "he usually does not do this" or whatever the excuse is. @Smoother I think things like that warrant calling the police. You're not doing it for you, you're doing it for everyone. Some people only learn if you don't give them any slack. Sad for the dog if it's just a shitty owner, but that's on the owner. -- When you find out why the msuper failed, please tell us!
  9. Not your fault, youtubes! It's kind of an obvious feature, really, People can watch the video warped and then unwarp and check out things of interest.
  10. Good to know about the 360 cams, but I meant getting youtube to display the full video
  11. Very cool the 360° thing. Is there any way to see the "full" video (with a warped view of everything)? My shitty connection here makes the regular view a blurred mess. I like how you get people's reaction to the EUCs with the 360° video.
  12. Suddenly everything is green, with fresh grass! I was shocked to see how very dry LA was in your other videos, that looked unpleasant. Which one is more representative? Interesting to see people "upgrading" from Ninebot and Kingsong to the longer range models. Also, homeless tents next to the bike path.
