  1. This is very interesting. In the other thread something was said about monitoring/preventing too high currents in the latest changes to the wheels. Maybe something produces too high currents? Is that possible?
  2. Very interesting description. They build something from parts, other than that they don't know much more than we do.
  3. @Questor Haha nice. You inspired me to take a photo of my "two" wheels. Nothing suspicious to see here
  4. Nice video and nice ride! Watched it entirely. Imho the picture in picture is more annoying than useful, it often obscures the most interesting part of the picture (other riders in front of you). When you said the battery died I was happy Either put it somewhere at the lower part of the screen (or maybe center left), or preferably not at all. Though it is neat to sometimes have a view from the lower cam, the ride seems slow from eye height but on this you see what would expect you if one falls; so to have this perspective occasionally is nice. Impressed with the KS14C! Would you say this or the msupers were better for this trip? On the inclines it looked like it was easy maneuvering for the 14C as opposed wo hard work with the msupers, but of course big tire is nice with such a broken up trail... Can you give more info on battery % used and related things (distances, inclines if possible)? For msupers and especially 14C. Did you recharge before you rode back? All the juicy technical details pls
  5. Will @Jason McNeil will even send out wheels with the affected motor codes before the source of the problem is known? Recall risk might be quite high.
  6. Haha a lot of people wondering wtf that is. Especially with the multicolored foam.
  7. Gotway maybe yes, but the latest KS models, would you really call them prototypes?
  8. @Mono It might just be that virtually nobody buys 67V models now that the 84V are available, That's the impression I'm getting, a lot of dealers who added GW to their shops later or started after 84V availability don't even sell 67V msuper V3 and ACM.
  9. The Inmotions have their justification for the people who want thinner and sleeker wheels, but other than that I think you're spot on.
  10. As far as I see it: new firmware that is causing the issues somehow batch of bad supplier parts the cable thing So not too many possibilities really...
  11. Has anybody of the affected riders had a look at their motor cables? Usually I'd think this is a very far fetched theory, but with @Hunka Hunka Burning Love's psychic abilities maybe this is it.
  12. It's a ridiculous noob mistake by Gotway and they fixed it. "You're doing it wrong" meant there are two ways of doing it (plug into wall first or plug into wheel first) and one of them does not produce sparks, even with the older wheels where sparks can happen.
  13. Gotway management stuffing bills into their suitcases and booking tickets to Rio while the workers find themselves in front of locked doors and a dark building?
  14. If it sparks, you're doing it wrong. Also GW fixed that (I believe) but usually it was - plug into wall first, then plug into wheel to charge; end charging by removing plug from wheel (and possibly disconnecting the charger from the outlet for safety purposes). There's a speedyfeet video about that, if you can find it (or maybe it was just part of some other video).
  15. Noch nicht mal Absicht? Hab neulich neu kalibiriert und mit etwas Einbildung kippt es jetzt weniger nach vorne. Vllt kriegt mans tatsächlich ganz weg!
  16. Ok, maybe flailing was the wrong word, not a native English speaker But there's two ways of controlling the EUC (hips/feet and upper body) and (for some unknown reason) I think the hip thing is better and I just noticed that you did the same thing as I do, defaulting to arms.
  17. Not specifically you, but you all did it quite a bit in the beginning. I'm sensitive to that as I'm trying to break that habit myself; so it's not super obvious or anything.
  18. Cool video! KS18 form factor has something. And you can step off with both legs and still hold the wheel with your knees. I see you're making the same mistake I'm doing - balancing too much with arm flailing vs using your hips. Lately I've been forcing myself to not use my arms as much as possible (thumbs in pockets etc). ACM is best, even the 67V smokes the monster on that little bit of incline! ACM, ACM, ACM! That park and surrounding area looks a bit like you fell into a time hole during your ride, and a zombie apocalypse happened in the mean time.
  19. Das ist eine entnervende "Hilfestellung" (von wegen!) dass die Gotways auch haben. Ich glaube bei den Inmotions kann man es evtl. abschalten.
  20. Yep! Not worth walking, but worth riding! Guess that shows that EUCs are a legitimate new mode of transportation (along with electric bikes and other electric vehicles), not just a toy.
  23. "Overclocked" model. 70 km/h. Mmmmhkay. Suddenly the Gotways appear safe and conservative There really should be an 80% battery warning with the Rockwheels, not just speed warnings that, depending on rider weight and route taken, may be above max power. How are you supposed to see how fast you can safely go without crashing at crazy speeds?
