  1. Even that was just isolated cases with clear causes (doesn't excuse the initial fuck-up, but it's over now). There's nothing to worry about in general with any manufacturer.
  2. Yep only Gotway has 100V wheels. Were there any battery explosions, any manufacturer? I don't believe so. Piercing a battery in a crash doesn't count, that's just how it works. Gotway batteries tend to be the best among all manufacturers.
  3. You have to one-time "unlock" the wheel in an app. This is to prevent it turning on in the packaging/in transit and burning itself out. If the official King Song app does not work (should be on the main screen), use DarknessBot (Apple) or EUC World (Android) to unlock the wheel, these apps are officially supported by King Song now that currently there is no official app on the two app stores (not sure which app you have and where you got it from).
  4. You can work the voltage out from the battery size alone. Same for the V11. No spec sheet needed 21700 cells vs 100V maybe? Two conspicuous zeros in both? Why not? Because it would be a total departure from everything KS have done before (which the suspension already is). They don't have a 100V board. Gotway were clever and worked their way up step-by-step, one part at a time. Surely KS could have done 100V electronics. But I believe it's not that easy (seeing Gotway's failed attempts at 126V it's apparently not as easy as just using higher rated components), and KS would have started at zero, to add to the suspension. And maybe (as before) they just don't want to do the step to 100V (or above 50kph) in the first place. I'm not surprised, but I also wouldn't have been surprised if IM and KS would have gone 100V with such radical all-new wheels. It's interesting that they went 84V. This isn't necessarily good or bad, but notable because we don't know why.
  5. How dare people use a unique opportunity for their enjoyment that hurts absolutely nobody! This just tells us how entitled people (and car drivers in particular) are. And it shows the best way to fix this is to simply act, not ask nicely what other people think. Because that's what they think. Well said. Very poetic
  6. Sorry for the inconvenience! Unfortunately some restrictions are necessary against spammers etc, but they go away quickly (and we mods can fix it if we are alerted).
  7. Short @EcoDrift article about the S18 Some interesting new info (batteries, suspension) and a picture of the mosfets. Picture credit EcoDrift.
  8. With the new 21700 cells, likely 84V battery sizes are 1110Wh (3x20 cells), 1480Wh (4x20 cells, same as the V11, not sure why they make that 1420Wh there), or 1850Wh (5x20). Multiples of 370Wh (20 cells) in general. Unfortunately I'm not sure they can cram more batteries in the S18 later like they did with the 18L->18XL.
  9. "We should fuck sometime!" (Or what exactly that quote was.)
  10. I can't bring myself to complain about a daring, innovative and new sleek futuristic design. It's like the Z10 in this regard. 3p 1100Wh battery is a bit lame though, but at least the price reflects that. Let's see if this crazy suspension is worth it compared to whatever Inmotion did (which seems to be less crazy). *waits for new Gotway wheel pushing the range boundaries*
  11. A vague video and a blurb confirming the suspension. Ok, I'll take it (and the video analysis someone's going to do). Looking forward to seeing more (literally seeing more).
  12. Not after you have learned to ride. Not really. Maybe a little bit. Maybe technically. But it doesn't matter. You can always say "Try to ride it and then tell me this doesn't count!" to everyone who doubts you when you say it is excercise. That will shut them up quickly.
  13. I feel you. I also don't like when wheels get too complicated and closed-up and multipartite (for lack of a better word). A Gotway-like very simple and basic design, but with everything done super professionally - each battery in its on waterproof casing, same for board, professional grade connectors and cables, same for motor axle, really serious professional lights, etc. - would be the perfect wheel in my book. Doesn't have to be fancy or finicky, just really well made and ridiculously systematically designed. Best of both worlds. Anyways, 15 minutes...
  14. They'd be stupid not to send you one for a video
  15. I have nothing against the Z10, but the 16X with not even a waterproofing lip and some goop to protect from water (unless I'm remembering that wrong)? That's just a step above Gotway's waterproofing duct tape. Semi-professional, yes, but I can't yet call that really professional. The V11 looks to me more systematically designed - the lights alone went from "random LED we found in a bin" to "how you would design it if it actually had to reliably work". Maybe some ergonomics. Etc. Less "Chinese" and more "how a Western company would build it". At least that's my impression.
  16. Everybody can post pictures. Just copy+paste a direct link of the picture into your text. I also believe the forum's attachment functionality is available from day one, pictures included. For details see here:
  17. There were rumors of the Mini-Monster, then it was said no new wheels in 2020, now I don't know what to think. The best thing is: if KS's new effort is as professional as the V11, Gotway need to get their asses in gear. No more amateur-level new designs like the Nikola, I hope. Or some serious technical advantages to make up for it. Suddenly the amateur-in-a-garage phase of the EUC market seems to be over
