  1. A 18650 cell is about 50g, a 21700 about 70g. You can guess the battery weights from that if you know the cell count. E.g. an 84V "800Wh" 18650 pack (two of these make 1600Wh) is 20s3p = 60 cells = ~3kg, and a 100V "900Wh" 21700 pack (two of these make 1800Wh) is 24s2p = 48 cells = 3.36kg. Doing the math, this is 255Wh/kg for the 18650 pack and 264Wh/kg for the 21700 pack. - To stay a bit on topic, I expect this new Inmotion wheel to be 84V as usual (not sure why, just a hunch). But maybe we get a nice 100V surprise (not sure how necessary or beneficial this would for this wheel, so it may not make sense). I also wonder what type of cells they will use.
  2. (I put your question into its own topic so as many people as possible see and maybe can answer your question)
  3. Really nice bodyguard. The rear light cut-out should be just one big hole, I think. Maybe supported by a piece of plastic to keep the shape, if necessary. Wheel looks great with the cover. Your logo mudguard looks great, too. Why are you saying "roll dot enn zed" instead of "enn zee"? Are you British? Do Americans use both variants? Is it because the New Zealanders say "zed" and you're adapting that? Just wondering
  4. Im only speculating here! And I'm certainly no electrical expert. But I don't see another way how they could have modded a MSP for more speed. Must be the motor, as far as my knowledge goes. Either MSX motor, or MSX motor successor (built for the same speed as the MSX motor) if it exists, or they opened the MSP motor and re-wound the copper (I don't think so). Unfortunately EUC Service is stingy with technical details, so I can only guess. Maybe you can ask them in private if you're interested in buying from them, and the will tell you if you promise to keep it to yourself? The new MSP-style board is already available for the Monster. So this seems to be just Gotway's latest board for their "big" wheels. Given how experimental Gotway is, I would not be surprised to see an MSX V2 which would be just the MSP (new lights, new speakers, new side panels for the fatter batteries, etc.) with an MSX motor (or MSX motor successor, if that exists), or even a new Nikola model with the MSP motor (less speed, more torque, just like MSP vs MSX). That would mean an appropriate firmware (for the MSP-style board with an MSX motor) would already exist, so this is where EUC Service might have got the right firmware. Not sure what Gotway is planning or doing right now, though. It's all just guessing.
  5. If you want to go faster, you need to either change the motor, or need to increase the battery voltage (above 100V here). A MSP motor at 100V will just go as fast as the MSP, because motor and voltage determine the motor's max speed (no-torque speed). They use the same LG M50T cells the standard MSP uses. So they must have done something to the motor. Their spec sheet just says "improved for speed and range". Maybe Gotway has a new motor to succeed their "2000W" motor used in the MSX, Nikola, etc?
  6. Then what motor is it if it isn't the MSX (2000W) or MSP (2500W) one? They surely don't have a custom motor.
  7. If you paint a tunnel on a rock face, I still can ride through, and you just have to follow me, just go fast
  8. Pictures work. That looks pretty well made! Nice.
  9. Your project sounds interesting, but the pictures don't show I think this is because these lack public permission to be seen (Google Drive?), or maybe it's just buggy. If you need more help with posting pictures, see here.
  10. There we are, no more wondering needed I for one am happy Inmotion go for a brand new "big boy" wheel design to compete with the likes of msuper and 18(X)L. And let's not forget the suspension! I have no idea how they will implement such a feature. Via the pedal construction? Springed pedal hangers? Soft circle layer in the tire rim? Super springy tire?
  11. Build a field with some EUC-suitable obstacles (poles, walls, ramps, curbs/jumpable mini-walls, ...) and let people chase each other with their wheels. Sounds like a fun thing to watch. Not sure how to determine who wins - maybe lowest aggregate time until the opponent was tagged or a time limit for the round is over (if the hunter steps off, it counts as full time limit, if the hunted steps off, that counts as tag)?
  12. No, I'm afraid not 62 miles = 99.8km. Anyways, I'm not here to shit on Inmotions earlier marketing. I merely mentioned this as a side show. I'm sure their new wheel will have more than a 1000Wh battery. 1600Wh is what I expect. Looking forward to see more, especially because I believe an 18 incher requires a completely new design (bigger step than V8 --> V10)
  13. The things people do... but I guess we shouldn't complain here @Rama Douglas New idea for LA EUC games: EUC tag. mten3 recommended.
  14. It is the big one! Specs are pretty much what we expected from an Inmotion wheel. Though it is nice to have the suspension confirmed. Can't wait to see how they did it! And the design will surely be nice. I wonder what "over 100km range" means. After all, the V10F is advertised as 62 miles max wheel (= 100km) I guess it means 1600Wh (which still doesn't give 100km under realistic conditions) but I'd be happy to see an even bigger battery. 2 months to go...
  15. I think they just put the MSX motor in the MSP. More speed, less torque. Not sure how it works with the board.
  16. Pedal dipping in curves is due to a bad calibration. Recalibrate, and make sure the wheel isn't tilted sideways (left/right) during the entire calibration process.
  17. From another topic: So the May event will show the big one?
  18. Sidenote: the naming of the KS ride modes is very misleading. It's just soft, medium, hard mode. The ride mode is only a matter of personal preference and has nothing to do with riding skills or how hard it is to ride. Glad you're enjoying your wheel!
  19. All your options are great. Just buy the one you want. MSP, Nik, 16X, 18XL. See also here (there's the 84V 2100Wh Nikola if you want range, or a glorious 100V 2700Wh quality mod):
  20. You could say it is a set speed, if that set speed is allowed to depend on the battery charge/voltage
  21. I'm taking the info from here (battery dependent speed limit):
  22. "Everyone" here clearly prefers the 18XL to the 18L. I wonder how the comparative sales numbers are in non-enthusiast circles. More 18Ls than 18XLs? The other way around? I can see a lot of people (who don't know better, I did not either at the beginning) see the 18L price and specs to be high enough already and skip the 18XL.
  23. As they have a V12 and V15 coming, and one is supposedly a 16 incher and the other an 18 incher... looks like this is going to be their new 16 incher (smaller number, right?)! Curious what they have come up with! I have no idea what to expect.
