Going slightly off topic, but how is the development of bodyguards for other wheels coming along?

Would like to have one for my Tesla, if at all possible

A good question...

I am actually planning a field trip for our head Hobbit to view a Tesla later this week... Following that, if everything is looking good we have a source for the "mannequin" (for the design work) and from there we will see what happens!

Though it would be a lot easier for us if you just bought a KS-16X already...   :P

I really love this covers :-)

Not only do they look nice there is a safety issue too.

Right now we are having very windy condition here in Sweden /Gothenburg. I went on a small ride 10-12 m/s windy but much higher wind gusts. Pretty scary to ride in those gusts as they were pretty hard. But my mc pants seems to be glued to the cover making grapping the wheel with legs so much easier.

Norally I have a bit wider stand on my large pedels, it feels much more stable if I need to stable the wheel by squeezing it.

Most of the time I  totally relaxed in my ankles letting the wheel self correct itself by the centalfugal force.

The combo of KS18L/XL and large pedels and eucbodyguard is an awesome total ride expireance.

As it also covers some of the shell openings where sheel parts meets it helps preventing water to enter but water is an odd thing. It gets into places you don't expect.

But so far I am 110%

Hopefully...

We would love to be able to provide an EUC Bodyguard for every model. This new thing with LED light rings on the inside of the wheel is challenging though!

Rest assured we are sourcing some 16X to investigate the potential (and to ride, of course).

Might be able to use a thick transparent plastic like from windows on camping tents. But it might be a challenge to mend the two fabrics together.

Brilliant!

Don't you worry, I'm going to look into getting that one ;)

Some of my trips are close to the max range I get on my Tesla, so getting 50% more range is very tempting! Or I could loose some weight

Go for the new wheel... It is so much easier than losing weight!   ;)

But if you have already scratched up your ride (eg. @travsformation) then an EUC Bodyguard can also cover / hide that damage... Something to think about?

In my case, it'll be to hide the current damage, prevent further damage, and prevent damage to the new shell when I eventually replace it (not in a hurry, only aesthetic damage) :)

Thanks for the review @Flyboy10, it's great to get feedback from a customer's point of view... Especially a happy customer!   :D

You mentioned that you haven't really tested the extent of how much protection the EUC Bodyguard provides - And I don't blame you, after all no one wants to intentionally drop their EUC. Having said that, we did need to ensure that they worked "as advertised" so a part of our development process included exactly that.

Warning: Viewer discretion is advised. Sensitive riders should look away now...

Well my wheel took a fair hit on my last crash. You can read more about the crash om the thread I  created Crash histprt of Unvemtor.

The EUC bodyguard too a few marks as you can see below. But I think it saved my wheel pretty nicely.

Note:  Sorry I didn't undust the wheel first. But the picture are from waiting room while my shoulder had not been x-rayed yet. And before I got any medication for the pain. I had a little hard time holding the phonecover away from camera view of field.

Note 3: Stop asking already, THE MODEL IS NOT INCLUDED!!!

Keep the bodyguard, I'll take model :P

But I believe such a model would be more expensive than any wheel

So since you now have customization options for the EUC bodyguards,....what level do the model fall under and will you add a hair colour choices in near future?

So how are you getting along with KS16X options, and what more mods do you have installed for us? @The Fat Unicyclist

As mentioned in this other thread...

The mod / personalisation that we are now offering is a crocheted rider G-string!

Just don't ask for sample photos, as you just might get them!!!

BTW - for those "more serious" customers, they are made from a purple nylon wool (so may be a little scratchy)...

On the serious not about the KS16X EUC guard. Do you think it would be possible to be integrated with the side panels as for fasten it ?

Since you commented on side panels covering screws for opening the case.

My wheel is coming on Monday at work (9-10am Swedish summer time)  so this is first time I will see a KS16X irl.

I am still waiting to receive our shipment of KS-16X too... Due in about two weeks...

But we have a few ideas about how we might make an EUC Bodyguard (similar to some ideas we have for the Z10) and I am also engaging with some local specialists to see what we might be able to do about those side pads too...

EUC Bodyguards are now available for the KS-16X, or at least they will be available to pre-order in about 10 hours from now...

Awesome! Sign me up. Do I go through Ewheels?
