  1. 220306 is very likely going to be March 6th. Nobody uses year-day-month, not even the usual suspects that use month-day-year. Chinese use year-month-day anyways. So in my opinion it's a very early motor. Whether that is good (before the slippage issue) or bad (affected by the slippage issue) I don't know.
  2. The MSX and MSV3 board are completely different.
  3. Given how complicated this is and how many things may not work as expected, I think a I have figured out the ideal EUC storage: Build a catapult, point it at a body of water or some wide open space or a neighbor you don't like Add a thin flammable trigger wire above the payload bucket Store EUC in bucket ??? Fire concerns no more!
  4. Messaging now works for you. Crazy how hard it can be to get a simple tire...
  5. Capacitive "buttons" Never understood why 100% reliable, tactile actual button buttons suddenly aren't good enough. Same for every new car. There are gloves that still allow you to use your phone, they should work on this too.
  6. The offroad part of the video makes it looks quite good. Tempting! I would absolutely not be surprised if this is in people's hands before the ShermaS.
  7. It may just be some connector where the display cable comes in, or some small part on the way. Anyways, better safe than sorry with EUCs. A new board is the way to go if such unexplained things happen.
  8. So it was the board? I wonder which part.
  9. You can send PMs already. In doubt, best to ask questions publicly, so everyone benefits from the answer.
  10. OFFTOPIC - It's tricky, but I figured it out today. The date below the username who posted it is a link (same as the "Posted X minutes ago" on the top of each post on this forum, that's a link to the post itself), copy it. The copied link for me is a long-ass link with some tracking identifiers or whatnot, but it actually points to the specific item that was posted. To get rid of the tracking stuff, open the copied link in a browser, and then copy the link from the address bar. This will be the "real" link without the tracking part. And then that link can be posted on this forum or elsewhere. It's dumb. But it works in the end.
  11. I like how the guy in the video has a Commander jacket. Them being proud of their wheels can only be a good sign. Maybe they wil use their own wheels more and make better (read: less baffling) design decisions now.
  12. Video and pictures posted by @Archee Jan Bloch: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ElectricUnicycle/posts/5464926896938562/ Video is also on the Gotway Faceboom page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/GotWay/posts/5636346206423655/ The real life wheels looks less attractive than the nice renders. The red handles and rim really looked great but they are not there. Now it's just black and looks like a Commander (well, duh). Still neat, but no longer so much better looking than the Sherman-S that I have seconds thoughts
  13. Good the video is back! To me, there is nothing biased or unfair about it. He just shows the state of things and gives his opinion on that. And if the opinion isn't the best, not his fault.
  14. My 84V ACM has no fan, too. I think the Tesla-ized (Tesla motor and possibly board) ACM (sometimes called ACM2) might have a fan by default. Good point. If it's screwed to the outer shell... But no excuse for the dented capacitors from the handle screws. That's just classic-Gotway heedlessness. This wheel needs a revision. The good thing is, if Begode want to do that, they are certainly capable of quickly improving.
  15. I had already forgot about this. This and the barely existing heatsink really are the worst of the bunch. This wheel has been thrown together with minimum care.
  16. The suspension in the V13 stair video keeps the wheel amazingly steady. If the ShermaS suspension is just as good... I need to start saving!
  17. It's a different video (he talks English in the English one), but probably the content is the same. Maybe he got a dud, which would explain the unexpected performance issues and the removal of the video (easy to overlean with a strong acceleration, and happened on grass where imho there were no big stresses) that an mten3 surely (in my view) would not have had. All other criticism in his video was fair imho. It's not slander to be critical or have a negative opinion. Bad ergonomics (side hurts the legs) and bad pedals (he considers it weak material, and there is nothing against slipping except very small bumps. Neither studs nor grip tape.) Does not like the tire. He says it's just not fun to ride due to this. If all EUCs were this not-fun, people would not ride. Build is very basic and the price is way too high for what you get. Hard for me to disagree, watching his disassembly. This really looks like a DIY project. I have to applaud Begode for the genius simplicity of the mten4, but the execution is just so sloppy and basic and unrefined. No waterproofing or any other refinement anywhere, it's just barebones slapped together. (My opinion: If this were a very low price wheel experiment, that would be ok, but not for a "real" wheel.) Watch the latter part of the Russian video, where he disassembles it. Draw your own conclusions from what he shows and the price Begode want for it.
  18. These are sometimes horrible, but specific problems that you can take care of with a specific solution. The nature of self-balancing vehicles means than any hardware failure is a crash, but the number of failures that are unrelated to any specific known issue (bad motor like here, bad board batch, bad specific firmware, ...) is extremely close to zero. Also, first batch is first batch, at this point I consider first batches to be for enthusiasts only (or people who can take the money loss). But it can be exhausting, nobody is denying that. Same when you get a new wheel (maybe your first) and it has some issue right away! You just want to ride, and then this. Extremely demotivating. You have to power through, maybe with some effort, until the good times come. But they do come. And if you and your wheel aren't affected by some specific issue, there's no reason to worry.
  19. Are you in contact with ewheels? Or know of someone who is talking to them about this? If anybody can put pressure on manufacturers, it's ewheels.
  20. We mods can't do that, the admin would have to do it. Depending on how important your conversations are I can ask (more messages for everyone), but probably the easiest way is to delete a few old messages.
  21. Thank you for being the bearer of excellently presented bad news, once again If you want to make a T4 topic akin to the S22 one, we can pin that and remove this one. But I figured you already said everything there is to say in your S22 topic.
