Alternatively something like "Dash S" if you really need to be 101% clear. 4 minutes ago, That Guy said: Idk… I was hoping for less weight. :-( Not sure if 44kg is great because it's not too much more than the Sherman, or is awful because it's only 3 kg less than the EX20S, so no big weight improvement.

The Max does have a 3600Wh battery (well, advertised, it's more like 3400Wh, but that may be the case with the S too). Seems like the extra weight comes mainly from the new motor and suspension Edited September 9, 2022 by dycus

I would pay ~3500$ for a good light wheel. Fuck speed/range/power/weight. 2x lower everything of those wheels = amazing lightweight wheel. ~60lbs and under is the sweet spot. <3 Edited September 9, 2022 by Funky
Fuerte
Us big boys are excited with the latest crop of big wheels. I have NO problem with 22" or 24" and suspension, bring them on!

But could it also be that his and yours use-cases are similar because you two have to lug eucs up and down stairs; both of you don't have to travel far; and at where you live, the roads or pathways are more conducive to riding on lighter wheels? Ofc. We don't ride with cars, therefore no need for speed. ~30,50km/h wheels is plenty. We have to carry the wheel to 3rd floor 2-4 times a day. Most rides are ~5km. (My record is been 40km a day.) (Dad has ridden from 100% to 0% time to time.) If we didn't need to carry at all - i'm 100% sure we would have gotten heavy ass big euc. But because we carry it in train/buss and to 3rd floor - we like as light as possible. I get that everyone has their owns use case/needs. I'm just little bit salty, that all the new releases have been 66lbs++ wheels. That are completely useless for us. (In our mind there have been no "new" releases from ~2019 year.) I personally only like Sherman Max of the "heavy" wheel lineup. Edited September 9, 2022 by Funky 1

Jon Wall
Waterproof may not seem necessary to some but for me, the ability to just hose it off after a ride would be great. I have little interest in riding in rain anymore.

meepmeepmayer
"Nylon plus lead materials" surely is a translation error and not the toxic heavy metal, but I'd really like to know what it is supposed to mean. You never know what madness a manufacturer might manage to do otherwise

If the ShermaS has more, it will be a good torque wheel. What I hope is we have some free space in the board area to add some capacitors for sudden needs of power.
Popular Post Paul g
I’ve searched some more info about lead in plastics. Apparently the lead is used in plastics to make them more flexible and to easily come back to the initial shape after being deformed: https://www.cdc.gov/nceh/lead/prevention/sources/consumer-products.htm . Of course it is toxic and people should avoid touching plastics that contain this substance. “Lead dust can be formed when plastic is exposed to sunlight, air, and detergents that break down the chemical bond between the lead and plastics” -CDC . Lead is extremely dangerous also because is cumulative, that is the body doesn’t have a good way of getting rid of it. WHO about lead: “Key facts Lead is a cumulative toxicant that affects multiple body systems and is particularly harmful to young children. Lead in the body is distributed to the brain, liver, kidney and bones. It is stored in the teeth and bones, where it accumulates over time. Human exposure is usually assessed through the measurement of lead in blood. Lead in bone is released into blood during pregnancy and becomes a source of exposure to the developing fetus. There is no level of exposure to lead that is known to be without harmful effects. Lead exposure is preventable.” Lead is extremely dangerous for children since it affects their brain and leads to lower IQ among other things: “Health effects in children Lead exposure can have serious consequences for the health of children. At high levels of exposure lead attacks the brain and central nervous system, causing coma, convulsions and even death. Children who survive severe lead poisoning may be left with intellectual disability and behavioural disorders. At lower levels of exposure that cause no obvious symptoms, lead is now known to produce a spectrum of injury across multiple body systems. In particular, lead can affect children’s brain development, resulting in reduced intelligence quotient (IQ), behavioural changes such as reduced attention span and increased antisocial behaviour, and reduced educational attainment. Lead exposure also causes anaemia, hypertension, renal impairment, immunotoxicity and toxicity to the reproductive organs. The neurological and behavioural effects of lead are believed to be irreversible.” For more info you could check WHO site: https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/lead-poisoning-and-health I think it would be important for us to make an appeal to resellers to not accept selling EUCs that use leaded plastics in their construction and to ban the selling of the Sherman S if it comes with such materials in its plastic components. It would also be important for us to make it clear to resellers that we would not accept buying such a product in the first place. Lead is dangerous, period! If Leaperkim whats to produce a very resistant plastic than it can use fibre reinforced plastics just like you can find in professional tools and other high demanding applications, there is no need to expose people to highly toxic substances. meepmeepmayer
Now suddenly I'm worried lol. Can someone ask ewheels about this? They should be able to get answers from Leaperkim. 1
Paul g
After I had some health issues I am a lot more concerned about the things I eat and buy. Few people are aware that even with todays laws and standards there are carcinogen substances widely used in the paper bags we are served pastries or in the pans we cook food, as well as toxic heavy metals in these cookware or the water we drink.

Paul g
The lead dust sticks to the hand, from the hand reaches the mouth and you ingest it. What we think are small amounts is causing actually a lot of damage.
Jon Wall
Thanks for the lead explanation. I thought the lead was a miss translation. Maybe fiber reinforced nylon? If it really is lead how do they import it to the US? This definitely needs to be cleared up.
