Franco confirmed that the pedals extend so you can size it for your foot.  It has nothing to do with deploying the pedals, which is good to hear.

This is completely pointless, right? You could just have big pedals and be done with it, right? Or am I missing something?

Magnesium alloy shell?… It’s either very heavy or very expensive, or both? (Unless it’s that magnesium that starts with “C”.)

About the lead 🤔 ,that thing indeed is heavy and also makes no sense in an EUC. Maybe it is just a wrong Chinese-to-English translation and we are worried for nothing. Let’s wait and see

Ah, if it is a wrong translation, then it maybe not the EUC shell, it might be just about the controller box integrated with the new bike suspension chassis, and therefore was made of magnesium alloy rather than aluminium..

No price estimate? No ETA? Suspension looks next level and if it is, maybe this over the V13. Speed is acceptable to me but I really like the V13 double Hall sensor and speed margin approach, not to mention water resistant rating. Inmotion made this a hard choice. I really do like a good suspension tho so this will be a tough decision. Will likely depend on price of Sherman-S.

If they're using magnesium for the shell, this might be relatively light. Assuming they didn't put too much lead in the seat (does the rider constitute the lead? Nah, they're 'on' the seat, not in it).

IDK, the translation seems bad enough to make me wonder how much to really believe (about the sections that aren't about the battery).

New wheel season is sure a fun time of year!

My prediction, V13 suspension will be inferior to Sherman-S for two reasons - one is the weight of V13 (for the suspension type they chose) and the other is the fact LeaperKim engaged external suspension specialists.

Yeap! And also because of this reason: having problems repairing my V12, made me search more info about it and stumbled upon this:

I'm still waiting for my Sherman Max.. now Sherman S is announced. I wonder if it's worth the wait. I think this will probably be a year before it starts shipping. But can't know for sure

Somehow I have the feeling this wheel is going to be $$$. Shermax + suspension + metal build. Also a point to consider. But we don't know any prices yet, so I hope I'm wrong.

Can't be more expensive than V13.. So i would say easy 4000-4200$. But i think it will be 3.999$ as it offers same specs as Sherman Max only added suspension.

(Ps - i was right guessing V13 price.) No point going for more expensive, if sherman offer less "power". Sure there could be built quality. But for that the wheel needs to be very, very perfect to cost more.

Mark my words it will be 3.999$ And it will not ship sooner than 2 years. (2 years before people start getting them. Start of 2024.)

And if you don't want to be the "test dummy", or buy less quality wheel. It's easy 3 years wait time for this wheel. So let's say it will be "good" enough at 2025 year. Because let's be real, all "new" wheels have problems at release. And over next 1-2 year they get fixed/updated.

It looks cool (edit: the top with the seat-handle). I’m looking for something like Sherman Max though, I had enough of testing new wheels.

edit: I like the handle approach, makes the wheel more waterproof. Let’s hope those screen buttons will not fall this time.

The EUC producers have to get serious about lights, these wheels go on the road, among other vehicles, the stop lights that turn on when braking are a necessity. Please Veteran, lights are not a game for children, they are an indispensable piece of equipment on a vehicle, stop playing with them and get real.

On a EUC adding a dedicated stop light should be a piece of cake, all the electronics are already there, you don’t need to add a dedicated movement sensor in the electronic package.

Meh.. I don't need lights.

But you are right. Lights game is and will be weak for these things. (Ps euc have no place on roads anyways.. Best you can do it bike path.)

I mostly agree with that, but even bicycles are forced to ride with the cars on general roads(not bicycle dedicated), that is the most dangerous part.

Edit: “Lights game is and will be weak for these things” - Let’s not badly prophecise about our the future- it might fulfill, it is enough that the past was not at all that great.

Edit to the Edit: Sorry, don’t want to be sour, I just think wouldn’t be a good idea.

How many years it have been? No good lights at all. Some EUC's even don't have backlight. (Some small led strip isn't a a light btw..)

I'm simply given up on "perfect" wheel. Because more and more junk EUCs have been released past ~2 years. None good that i would like to buy comes close to 18xl. (I can count only 3 euc's that are good "enough" in my eyes. And also the 3rd have "software" issues till this day. 5 EUCs if you also count heavy wheels - but i don't like/need heavy wheel.)

Ps: i personally think "past" were better. Nowadays.. World is going to shit.
