  1. As usual, the guys from EcoDrift have excellent disassembly articles of all the wheels. This time the mten3. https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=ru&tl=en&u=https://ecodrift.ru/2021/07/03/begode-mten3-samoe-kompaktnoe-monokoleso/ (Russian Original: https://ecodrift.ru/2021/07/03/begode-mten3-samoe-kompaktnoe-monokoleso/) The short version is: everything looks good! There are some small and natural improvements, like a lift button or using their latest "black" board (and some huuuge pedals). But there are no bad surprises or appalling build quality discoveries like in some other cases. A pretty cool and unique wheel. I guess I should buy one.
  2. If you close your eyes, in your dreams, on your mind when you don't think about it - which one do you see? It's that one. For me, it's more range/battery + a comfy suspension (V11) vs. looks, a bit more nimbleness and fun, and an extra cool and sweet suspension (S18). Both are really nice wheels.
  3. Then by all means get it! This is how you know which one to get: your intuition tells you you "just want that one". Always follow your intuition when choosing a EUC, because it includes all the small things you can't be aware about but that count for you. Damn fine wheel. More range than the S18, but the S18 has the even more serious suspension, and its has its looks. You can't go wrong with either.
  4. The S18 is a great wheel! Not sure where this doom and gloom about it (and EUCs in general) in this thread suddenly is coming from. Get the wheel you really want (maybe it's the S18 if you quickly ordered one) and enjoy (whichever one you choose). EUCs are a great joy to experience, don't miss out. And if you buy from ewheels, you will surely have great support if something isn't going as it should.
  5. What beeps? Can you desrcibe them? If it's speed beeps, an app may be re-setting every time you connect. Also you may not have switched the beeps off. You can neither set a safety margin or a temperature on Begode wheels. An app may just make it look like you changed settings. The wheel beeps twice when it receives a command (e.g. to disable or enable some beep). Which app did you use? No, the wheel has no memory, it doesn't even know which phone or app is connected.
  6. (I split this off into its own thread. Nice of you to look for an existing topic to use, but I believe you'll more likely find help this way.) As with every hardware error, I would ask your seller what to do. Do you still have warranty?
  7. I agree that both of these are too small/weak for your weight. Get a 16x3 wheel (V12, Nikola, 16X) or an 18 incher.
  8. No reason to replace the board for safety reasons. People like @Hansolohave been riding their old wheels (with much smaller mosfets) for 20k or 30k kilometers. Ordering a replacement board while you still can get one is a seriously good idea though. But just in case you kill your old one, not to replace a working board.
  9. These range figures sound very plausible. 81V isn't 100% (typo?). The maximum voltage (as seen by an app) should be about 84V. If the wheel is new, don't forget it's your seller's job to fix a bad charger (or - worst case - battery/wheel). Not your job to pay money for a new charger or other fix. If you indeed can't charge to full (~84V), figure out why.
  10. Instead of googles over glasses, I'd want a helmet with a clear visor.
  11. Be careful with your walls and furniture. It's easy to ram the wheel into something and do damage. Don't ask me how I know Nice wheel!
  12. Googling "fedex canada lithium battery guide", this is the first result: https://www.fedex.com/content/dam/fedex/ca-canada/MVP/images/2020/Q2/FX_HowToPack_Batteries_CA_EN_401131600.pdf It says: So it seems UN 3171 is the right number. Googling "UN 3171 label", there are the usual suspects, but this looks like it's the best: I would print it out twice and put it on the top and side of the package. But don't ask me. Your shipping company really should answer this. "What label do I need to ship a lithium ion battery powered vehicle?" Probably it doesn't matter which label you use. People have shipped without a label, and I've never seen this particular one before (e.g. from sellers). As long as a reasonable label is on the package and they take your package...
  13. Can't the post office/shipping company office provide the appropriate label when you drop off the package? If not, just print one out yourself. The point is to have a warning for the shipper on the package (so they would only put the package on cargo planes etc.), nothing more. Don't pay for anything (like a $15 sticker). Just print out the right symbol in the right size (not too small) and put it on the package. Maybe the shipping company has a lithium ion battery guide that tells you exactly what they want. Here's what I found when I tried to figure it out (but I never shipped a wheel so ymmv):
  14. Begode/Gotway are constantly doing minor revisions like a new board layout, new firmware, other small adaptions. Or just use whatever parts they happen to have lieing around at the time. As for the Monster specifically, the Monster Pro is pretty new (before that, there were the Monster v1, v2, and v3). I don't expect a "new" Monster soon. Best to stay away from 1st batch new wheels, as that's when they are most likely to make some notable revisions/improvements to the original design. The Monster Pro is beyond that now.
  15. Mods say: Guys, everyone please stay on topic instead of going too meta of having personal fights or whatever. Feel free to make a new thread about anything that may be related but doesn't really belong in this topic! That's what the forum is for: discussing anything electric unicycle. (We even have an "Forum Rules" forum for the meta stuff and an "Offtopic" forum for your personal fights)
  16. I'd prefer the MCM5, as (in my opinion) the 16S is too slow for its size. The MCM5 is a little faster, but the smaller tire will make the riding a little slower automatically (or make riding at a speed feel faster). Seems like a better match. Or even a Tesla? Ask your son which wheel he would prefer! If it wasn't for the weight/size, a V10 or 10F might also be a neat option. Also consider the V8S (same as V8F but a notably bigger battery - not sure when it will be out though).
  17. Then they fixed it. The first Gotway displays didn't have enough digits to show 100V numbers. But this was long ago...
  18. Do you have the old wheel info in some other table? It would be a shame if it just got lost/deleted! You put so much effort into collecting all the numbers.
  19. It means a moderator has to check your post before it is visible to everyone. This is only for very new members to prevent spammers etc. You can already post without needing approval, your posts will show immediately.
  20. An MSX is a fantastic allround and first wheel. Not the latest model, but close, and half the price!
