Popular Post Unventor
So I got my 1st batch of the 100 first made wheels yesterday late (about 18.30-19.00) I pocket it up at UPS. Apprently they are unfamiliar with the use of door bells. Anyway as always there are new things to learn when activating a new wheel. The V11 is no different. Now I have been in contact with Inmotion since first release was postponed (jan 2020), so I have great expectations due to how they have approached feedback and suggestions and the questions they have asked me. They have reached out to alot of people to make a better wheel. I decided not to do any unboxing. It is rather pointless as other have done so. But if you look at Youtuber Wrong Way reactions after doing this comming home from holiday, my onw experience was very similar. Now the pedals are Hugh. There are no two way a out that. But it is only due to my bad knee I have nitial stepping up problems. You get used to this really fast. I took a 5km test ride last night after charging from 1% to about 50%. I had speed limiter set at factory 25kmh. I had tire pumped up at 35psi (which is very high for me since it is 18x3"). I set up the suspension at 130psi+ 60psi-. That turned out to be way too much. So today I lowered it to 110psi+ keeps 60psi- and let out a bit of air of the tire. So today I have been ridj g about 25km. I have a few pictures from yesterday and today. But since I am still getting used to this new wheel I have not filmed that much. I am keeping my brain focused on the wheel. There is a long way down from it. I will add a few pictures here. These are taken just as things happened yesterday and today. But despite the helmet I think you can see a huge fat smile behind it. @Jimmy Chang tag to the V11 as Majestic. I could not come up with a better word. Just inboxes and still uninflated suspension system. Testing light in basement. I took picture at hip height. I am 176cm or 5'9". From my ride today, a few numbers as I rode. This pothole would be a killer for me to hit on a "normal" wheel it is close to 3" deep. A longer clip from last night. I am resting my knee right now as it is hard on it to step up. I am sure it will get better in a few days. Now I am still at very first impression but this is the best I ever had. Now since mine is early made and 1st batch I still have the Z bearing but it is great still. The first thing I have done different today was lowering the suspension pressure, then I started to stand with "duck feet" on the pedals an this helped me a lot. I will make more videos but I will keep these short due to the resources it takes to edit these. onizukagto
Nice videos! Should see if you get any "bounce back"? @Hsiang suffered a pretty bad crash and broke his V11. Video footage and his recollection of the reason is pretty uncertain, but he said its either rider error, suspension bounce or tyre defect. He sound like he was going pretty fast too, above 30km/h. Stay safe!
Popular Post Unventor
I have been zipping about today and rode totally about 43km. Which is pretty long for my standards. My bad knees prevent me doing super long distance unfortunately. Now I made some recordings but the footage was obscured by the audio cord so it is somewhat useless today. But I like to share this clip. It is the mood and sensation that is important. I think I try to do some flat 4k video tomorrow instead. We will see how that goes. I could add more to my initial impression but I rather explain this as I ride. Now some might say the suspension system of the V11 isn't on pair with S18. I really don't care. The V11 as a total package is doing a much better job than I ever dreamed it could do. And I had a very easy time picking the V11 over any other new wheel coming out this summer. I will share this though. Riding the V11 is next level of EUC imo. The best I can compare it against is looking at a old school Segway on 2 wheels and the look at that after riding a modern EUC. There is really no comparison it is so different. This is how the V11 stands out to me. Yes you is still connected to the ground so you feel bumps but they don't punish you as hard. Going down curbs is really simple if you don't do it too fast. I can go up over obstacles that I could never handle on my other EUCs. Now the part right now is to understand the new possibilities but also what not to do as it is easy to get carried away testing limits. stephen
Love the video and excitement in your voice in glad your liking the wheel and helps save your bad knee, Keri the videos coming, what psi are you using now in chambers and tyre and your weight again 😁 Thanks @Unventor
Flying W
I'm happy for you! The light in your basement really shows how the cut off prevents blinding people too! Good attention to detail by Inmotion.
Popular Post Unventor
I am using same as yesterday. 110 psi + (deduct what escapes when take of pump, I might need to lower this a bit). 60 psi - (it looses a lot more dismounting pump due to smaller chamber). I am just now 86kg undressed, add 5-6kg with cloth and backpack with pumps and tools. So riding weight is about 90-95kg. I estimate my tire is at 30-32psi. This I need to lower a little more. Now I could see Inmotion make a new advanced set of saddel pads. So you replace all of the part you need to take off for adjusting upper chamber. This would fix both option for jump pads and control padding and the saddel mounting that had broken for some people. I do think you could get into trouble if you are riding in the rain. Mainly that should you slip on the pedals on an aggressive turn and hitting a bump this could add more force out of the turn. It is something I had issues with on my KS16X with CX tyre. I think this is not the V11 as such but one of those thing you need to keep in mind with any suspension system. I hit some deeper sand today on gravel roads than I expected and this gave kinda similar sensation. But since the V11 is so nimble I could correct the situation. On paper it shouldn't be like this. So easy to gain control with pedals near wheel axel point. But it works in a way I can't explain. The reason I ended up with this situation is due to me testing grounds and limits and dynamics. I can do things I couldn't or wouldn't try on my normal EUCs. Like the short video I posted today. I would avoid all the sinkholes in the gravel normally.

Popular Post Unventor
So I think these final work now. It might take some time before it shows up in 4K. The grass part is something I really don't like to do as I know there are some big holes and hidden rocks/mountain ground. The other is in HD only. This ride I did in HD recording, I wouldn't be able to do on any of my other wheels. You don't really see the speed but some of the holes are 2-3" deep and they hit hard at 20-25ish kmh. On suspended V11 I can do these and my knees are okey. But some of these took me by surprise how hard they hit.
Popular Post Unventor
Now today I just wanted to enjoy myself and well have the fun to see my team leaders rea tion once I showed my new sexy wheel... He doesn't understand wheels but one thing he do understand is the major difference between my first wheel the V8 and this new V11. I just don't know why but it is very hard to get people to invest the time in learning how to ride. So I went home and bought lunch with me on the way. Then I decided it was time to shop a new xbox controller....sold out almost all places. But I manage to find one in a show 10km away...in a place I have only been to once in that direction before on a wheel (my KS18L as I recall it). Instead of repeating this I like to a different post I did today. But the V11 outshines my other wheels in 3 ways... Now you can see the ride stats here. https://euc.world/tour/589633689111129 I have my wheel limit set on 35kmh. And I where riding on the limit a lot today. I dare not to lift this limit as it would just make me go do much faster as the wheel is so comfortable and trust inspiring. And then all of a sudden you find that high speed means longer braking distance. Now about braking it is more easy to do harder braking on the V11 compared to KS16X as I tend to get wobbles on hard KS16X braking. On the V11 I don't get this. I am soooooo happy with my V11. This thread title just says it all. Edited August 20, 2020 by Unventor
Popular Post Unventor
I think I forgot to mention a very important part. 2 things happend today. First I don't think as much of the wheel when riding. It means I am getting used to it now and slowly doi g more bumps and curbs without thinking about these in terms of what if...but more like here we go. The second part is I am now riding paying more attention to traffic around me, and not so much looking at the ground as the suspension plus the rim size make any minor (below 1") and medium (up to 2") obstacle a non issue at the speeds I ride. Yes I rude still with bend legs but I can once in a while straighten the legs a little while to rest legs and feet. I do think I will get a hard time going back to my "old" wheels.
Popular Post Unventor
Now I am "back" in working from home once again after having 3 weeks of vacation. And of course there is a backlog of things to clear out "at work". So pushing hard on I were pretty tired in my head yesterday evening. Debating back and forth if it would be better to not ride as we have seen people getting into accidents when head is not focused, I decided to go for a ride against my better judgement. Spoiler alert. Nope I didn't crash. But I got cought of 3 times where it could have ended in a crash on a normal wheel. Mostly due to me goofing around filming video that I intend to edit when raid sets in the upcoming week. I got inspired by @NonStopNeal style so as it was just to be a quick sniff about, it turned into (1h) 20km ride. And it was amazing and great fun. I hope the footage turns out to be usable. I passed our central park in the city centre riding through some water soaked leaves (normally a big mono as it is hard to see what is below and often a sign of a pothole, and slippery too). This turned out to be a manhole acting up as a hidden pot hole. The water splash hit the camera and of course I didn't bring a cleaning cloth. So it could have ruined all footage taken after this. But my biggest point here is I have had a blast on my gavel parking lot tests. But I still get these moments when I ride the V11. So after yesterday's ride I have now 176km on the V11. Not much but it has been a blast never the less. With luck I might be able to ride to my local IKEA to pick up a few things after work hours this late afternoon. Before the rain starts tonight. So there is a chance I get to hit the 200km mark today. The wheel is charged up and ready to go now.
Popular Post Zopper
Sounds like you should not ride it and rather send it to me. I will sacrifice myself and ride on it instead of you so you won’t get hurt... 😂

I will sacrifice myself and ride on it instead of you so you won’t get hurt... 😂 I really could force that much fun upon you. I am not sure you can handle this. I can barely control it my self. Speaking of which.... Today I did a short ride to get a lunch break and not having to make food when working from home. Just as I got my lasagne I got a notice 10min to work meeting. So that was going fast back home. 1800m burst ride for lunch. Then later I decided to ride to my local IKEA about 10km away. But in stead of casual cruising there. I decided to go there fast. I know the route pretty well and what to expect. I pushed it even harder to my set limit going back home. Now the fun factor going home is something I can't really describe in writing that well. But despite knowing how the wheel feels like. Pushing it with harder acceleration and braking twisting and turning at "high" speed (30+kmh) make it kind of feel like my KS16X with a CX tire. It is different though, but you can get into those dynamic lean style that is very characteristic for the Z10. This here just feel so much better. At some point I were doing a mc leave middle long gurn following the bike path and then I got caught by surprise how cross road made the lane drop in elevation. Now this is something I have dreaded how the suspension would reach together with the wheel. Being compressed while leaning and still able to maintain control.and feel of the wheel. The result: how on earth did I manage to do this? Avoiding a crash because I really had been caught by surprise. But the hole event were remarkably natural feeling and maintained full controll without any sense of danger except the initial drop and suspension first expanding the compressing in an about 20 degree turn. At this point is where I really understood why Inmotion chose to raise the pedals. I am not a speed junkie. And don't ride on the limits in general. However today had me laughing the next few minutes calming down the heart rate again. So @Zopper I can't force this upon you that you can't stop grinning and wanting to ride and ride and ride. It is for you own good I take this one for the community. I had fun on the gravel parking area. But the ride today is where I am slowly tapping into what the V11 can do. Btw I did pass a moped and he couldn't keep up at all, despite my 35kmh limitation set in the wheel by me. https://euc.world/tour/589798420779083 I am likely going to raise my limits to 40kmh like I have on my other wheels. The next few days weater is forecasted to be very EUC unfriendly. Maybe with a little luck I get ride in or two. But I don't expect to get new video the next week or so. Sorry. Blame the weather.
Zopper
Awwww... Well, enjoy it. I’m apparently not going to get a V11 early, so I have to go back to learning new stuff on a V10. Like going backwards. Or Chooch-like jumping. Or riding down stairs. Or trying to overbrake it (aka emergency brake). That kind of things.
Popular Post Unventor
Okey, now it is time. Time to sell my car. I hardly use it anymore. I drove it about 1000km the last year and the year before that about 3000km. It is 3vyears old and I have 9400km milage on it. I love my car but riding an EUC is much more convenient, practical and cost efficient. And with 4 wheels I am not as prone for a service breakdown anymore. The V11 is what tipped the scale combined with looking at costs. So in the upcoming week I am going to put it up for sale. Should it turn into bad winter I might get a small car with low running costs. But my Mazda CX-5 automatic 2.5L gass (top equipped) optimum is too costly to how much I use it. Using my EUC instead just give meuch better life quality as it micro exercise my rheumatic joints so I don't get into the stiff frozen fish finger mode. And that is why I likey V11 as it mitigate the impacts but keep a nice balance of sensation, control and micro exercise of my joints still. With the slightly warmer winters we have has the past 5 years in my area, we have seen less icy roads and less big snowfall. Last winter we had a few icy days and about 1 week totally of snow. And with the covid-19 situation my work has moved more to work from home, something I didn't do before the pandemic. Something I get to do still from time to time once the pandemic is over. And right now seems as a great time to sell the car and cut my running costs. I have though of this the past half year. But covid-19 and V11 are the 2 things that triggered it. That is is the difference between a serious EUC and toy for fun.
Popular Post Unventor
Things are going very fast now. I have booked yearly service review for my car for tomorrow morning. The at lunch I am getting a fit for road certificate and shortly I am driving the car 25km away for auction sale service. After that I only have my wheels for transport. And that is my future plan despite we get winter weather from time to time. The reason I am selling the car now is due used car sale prices are high as people is shifting away from public transport yet not having money to buy new cars and combined with new EU co2 tax for new cars. All this bumped expected price up 10-15% compared to before covid-19 (spring 2020). It is also my 2nd rear transport in unknown area as EUC rider. With a few scary thing as I am forced of road in so part of the way home and I have to cross a channel we're I normally only go by car (no EUC allowed there) So this will be a verging voyage in many aspect. To fit all things into the same day, I decided just to go ahead and get this done, and took the day off from work. Being without the car for first time in 12 years seems a bit scarry right now. Next week I am likely going to feel better about this. And even better once I seem my costs saving at the end of the month.

For me, it is a decision balancing between my dependency of back up plan (the car) vs taking a leap of fair with the benafit my EUC gives me. Should it not pan out. I can get a small car for the free value I get and the money save while testing this new step. I am moving towards 50 but only had cars the last 12 years. Before that my means of transport has been bicycle always any weather. Now I am back to basic again, just on EUC. Flying W
I made it a yr and a half with just the EUC (still had one car for the wife) then my job ended up too far away to use the EUC (35 miles one way) so I've been back in a vehicle. I used to show up much happier and ready to work when I rode in. I rode the motorcycle most days but that's is just pure stress in the morning traffic....bike should be weekend toys for mnt roads haha

Zopper
I'm without a car as well. But I live in a fairly big city with a good public transport, so the only case when I would need a car within ~20 km range is for transporting a furniture and similar stuff. And I can borrow one from family members living nearby. Now the funny part: I bought a motorcycle recently for trips far over EUC range and wanting for a ride on a new toy, I used it for one city errand. Never again. An EUC might get me there faster and without smelling so much fumes from cars around.

(noting that this is slightly off-topic): My bike meets a different need to the EUC, primarily range, longer distance travel and a different pleasure. I don't live in a city so the EUC isn't really practical for shopping trips (it'd take me nearly an hour each way on the EUC) and I'd usually use the car, the bike offers a more pleasurable alternative to the car but with the overhead of having to get the bike out, get kitted up etc.
Popular Post Unventor
So done is done. No more car keys. I am not waiting to see how auction goes. Despite being a stressful day. A lot of appointments to meet and then riding in an area I don't know especially with all the rebuilding infrastructure. Some pictures to remember this day. The car... The auction dealer drop-off site. The ride statics Area I passed on the way. So a little rest of feets. But overall it feels odd. But there are such a huge cost saving.... I couldn't defend having the car anymore. Maybe a small one if it gets to a hard winter. But right now the V11 is doing exactly what I hoped for and I always have a smile on when I get home.
Popular Post Unventor
So a new day and a new frontier.... But first about yesterday. I were out testing the go home feature. This was to get a feel for the tilt back before the next firmware update as Inmotion are working on an improved power plan. Let's just say it hit me by surprise and on a slight incline on a hill. The tilt back is very hard and impossible to push forward. Now my legs were tired and my knee svullen so I were both struggling to maintain balance yet keep the V11 under control and bringing it to a stop. Going from 25-28ish kmh to 4-5kmh in about 8.3 sec where I ended up doing a walk off. Letting the whhel roll on to gras to a stop. No worries... No EUC or V11 got seriously hurt. And no pedal scrap still. I got a little mark on saddel foam part though. I am glad I got to test this as I have an idea of this should I ever need to run my battery this low. I normally don't deplete my battery this much on a 1500+ wh EUC. That was yesterday. So today my car I had put up for sale got auction off and it closed. It turns out someone saw how good a deal this car was as it is as close to prestige it can be for a 3 year old car. So tomorrow I am officially without a car again and there is no turning back. If you just hold on to that feeling a moment. Since I didn't recharge my V11 yet I had to take another wheel for lunch. I have my KS16X out on load to an EUC buddy in need. So I went on my V10f. I don't have massive distance on my V11 (about 315-320km) but I have done a lot of very short rides and some mid range once too. But already now I can say I will have a very hard time using an ordinary EUC going forward. It is the new frontiers time. The Era of V11. I really love that wheel. And I can see me adding the Inmotion watch as a sidekick to it too. Okey I don't ride far between 10~40km mostly. I have max speed limited to 40kmh now. But This is what I use all the time when I ride now. So for commuting or shopping or pleasure or anything where I want to leave the apartment. Now I will bring out my KS18L the next few weeks when it isn't raining. But that is to train for non-dominant leg mounting and dismounting training as I didn't get around to this yet. But I figured I can fit in a few training exercises between autom showers. So should you get the option to test a V11. Just beware.... You could fall in love with it and there is no option to go back from that point. Just saying.,
