  1. Haha EcoDrift copied the graphic. But it has centimeter measurements this way. https://ecodrift.ru/2021/09/22/geometricheskie-razmery-novyh-monokoles/
  2. To get started with an overview of the "real" market (as opposed to handlebar novelties) and what's available, check out ewheels.com/shop e.g.
  3. I would look at a EUC with suspension. Inmotion V11, King Song S18 or S20 (upcoming). These are also big/powerful EUCs, suited for your size/weight. If anything helps with standing, it's probably a suspension (right?). Or maybe a really big wheel like the upcoming Veteran Abrams, to easily sit on? Also look at the custom seat mods people did on various wheels. These might be great options. Among the "real", competitive, powerful (and therefore safe) electric unicycles, there are none with a handlebar of any kind. They are all suitcase style. These other handlebar type models are a joke in comparison, with small batteries and weak motors (which really makes them unsafe and they aren't really taken serious as EUCs, they are more of a curiosity or old weak things from the past). Handlebars are an outdated concept on electric unicycles, really. They are a remnant from Segways (so people feel better when they have something to grab on), but on a EUC they don't really do anything you couldn't do better by just shifting your center of gravity by leaning. And you can not really expect to put any significant weight on them, as that would shift your center of gravity and be an input! Seats on the other hand seem to work well for those who ride seated (takes some skill). Sad to say it, but maybe a EUC just isn't the right ride for you. No point in ruining your joints if that is a danger. In the end, you do stand on the elctric unicycle and move relatively little, so if you have problems standing for longer times... You have to know if/how/what would work for you. If scooters etc. worked for you, there's no reason why an electric unicycle would be a problem. You just stand one way or the other. But the bigger tires of EUCs and a possible suspension will be more comfortable and cushioned than small scooter tires e.g. I would try a cheap learner wheel or a suspension wheel (a V11 with seat mod seems to be the obvious candidate currently) to see if everything works for you (I hope it does - welcome to your future addiction). Used unicycles sell like hotcakes, so there's no danger of you being stuck with one if you don't like it. Just expect some depreciation.
  4. You should be able to PM now as you went from "Newest Members" to "Members".
  5. Cool Looks like they just use the popular Begode motors! Commander HT with 3600Wh suddenly seems like a great RS alternative! Double the range.
  6. If you want to reach ewheels, email them. They seem to have great and fast customer support this way. Is there maybe a service that forwards packages to PR from the continental US, that could act as an intermediate? Order from ewheels to their adress and have the package sent to you then? Or maybe EUCO will ship to PR. They have a great reputation, too. There's also Freemotion (Canada but seem to ship to US). @Jason McNeilonce called them his archenemy (or something like that), so they must do something right. See end of this post for other sellers (not sure how current that list is):
  7. Dang it looks nice in these pictures! No metal tubing like the Sherman, but bigger battery, nicer ground clearance. Looks like it's in production and will be in people's hands every day now!
  8. In English please https://translate.google.com/
  9. I've moved the mten3 discussion into its own separate thread so buyers can post here without you missing it.
  10. This is a EUC forum so everyone is going to tell you to get a EUC If you really only commute in college (between campus buildings?) then a hoverboard might work (if you just don't want to walk). For any serious distances, a EUC is going to be more useful because it goes faster than a brisk walking speed and isn't criminally underpowered like most/all hoverboards. It really depends what exactly you plan to do with the ride. As far as legality, I would guess that a EUC and a hoverboard (which functionally is just 2 EUCs connected together) will probably have the same legality status - if one works (or not), the other will (or not). You seem to be in California ("ca") so I think you're good there.
  11. "Extreme electric unicycles" Might mean the prices. I love how all manufacturer have serious pedal heights now. No more ground scratching in turns! Having the pedals closer to the axle/center of tire rotation should make them more zippy, too.
  12. @Jason McNeilBegode and Extreme Bull seem to be different companies, with EB being a Begode outgrowth and now offering the Commander as their first own wheel. Can you tell more about that? Is your EB and BG contact the same? How much are these two companies separate or the same? I was wondering, as you call it the Begode Commander on ewheels.
  13. Just make sure it's enough Amperage so people don't fall on their face climbing hills. It is probably easy to underestimate what crazy things people do with their wheels
  14. Mobile: 3 lines on the top right -> account -> account settings. You can change the "display name" there (settings area must be "overview" but it is by default) Desktop: click on your account name in the top right -> account settings. You can change the "display name" there (under "overview" which shows by default).
  15. Liking those lights (not the main ones, the running lights or what you call them). Not sure if they are bright/useful enough, but they surely look neat. I just LOVE the RS's running lights! This is similar.
  16. Comes in torque and speed, just like the RS. 60mph/100kph for the HS, says erides
  17. Finally, something new about the V8S. EcoDrift article! Nice pictures and disassembly. https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=ru&tl=en&u=https://ecodrift.ru/2021/09/09/inmotion-v8s-vneshnij-vid-i-konstruktivnye-osobennosti/ They don't like the waterproofing too much. The cells used are LG M50T 5000mAh. Pretty cool how they managed to get 740Wh of battery where 480Wh used to be.
  18. Apparently the Nikola 2700Wh is also now an official Gotway model, going by this EcoDrift article. https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=ru&tl=en&u=https://ecodrift.ru/2021/09/08/begode-nikola-2700wh-blits/ What's interesting is their use of Samsung 48X cells with 4800mAh, so the battery capacity is slightly reduced (2557Wh vs. 2664Wh with 5000mAh cells). I wonder if price/availability or battery safety were the reasons for the switch. There seem to be no external logos and lights (like on the AR+), it just a regular 100V Nikola with more battery. Some minor internal build improvements, the rest seems to be the same.
  19. Really? He did such a good job, especially with the S20 livestream!
  20. You're right! A suspension should not sound like this. I hope this is only a prototype thing.
  21. I sure hope the squeaking is not the suspension, but the (quite empty) tire on that smooth floor.
