It was added to the total count, but not the non-usage-related count. Added with the caveat that it was a custom battery. 2

I presume that was 3 at the same time rather than 3 separate fires ? If it was 3 separate fires I would be totally be blaming the keter boxes, and would be quite worried about condensation inside those things unless you have systems in place for keeping the temp / humidity more consistent. UncleY6ep
As I can see, there is 1 missing fire incident here. April 3, 2020, Russia. Gotway MsuperX 84V Rider on MSX raised his hand to greet a man on an electric scooter. He also raised his hand, lost control and crashed into the MSX. After that the unicycle caught fire. Sadly not that I know of, if the assailant fled the scene then details will probably be scarce.

I'm going to keep it off the list until some more information surfaces because it's possible that the Begode Master caught fire for reasons unrelated to manufacturing or usage. Thank-you for posting it to this thread. This is potentially quite significant as it would be the first fire report on a modern Begode performance wheel.

At 11.36 am, a young man was crossing Sui On Street on a unicycle when he fell while trying to get onto the sidewalk. The electric unicycle suddenly caught fire and started smoking due to the friction, with the fire intensifying. The young man ignored it and ultimately abandoned it, fleeing the scene. Nearby witnesses saw the raging fire and called the police for help. Firefighters were called and extinguished the fire. The electric vehicle was seen severely charred after the fire was put out. Since the firefighters failed to find the owner, they placed the electric unicycle next to a trash can. A large string of burned batteries was also seen left next to it, with large scorch marks charred on the road. The owner of a nearby restaurant who witnessed the incident at the time said that because of the fierce fire, diners sitting outside the store ran away. However, he remained unmoved and joked that the burning unicycle looked as if a firework was being lit. Edited March 15 by Mango

I imagine he'd be going at relatively slow speeds when he fell while trying to get onto the sidewalk, as such it scares be a bit that a modern Gotway would burst into flames from such a low-speed impact. Let's hope this won't be the first of many.

I guess when he dropped it one of the plastic packs hit the edge of the curb damaging a cell which set off the fire but it doesn't look like the other pack(s) went in the usual runaway chain reaction. The FR pack has all the cells together and the BMS board is still there it is just the plastic case has melted. So yes the plastic did not protect the cells as well as a metal casing but on the other hand by quickly melting it may have allowed the heat to dissipate more easily and so was slower in setting off the other cells allowing time for the Firefighters to douse it. It does make me wonder about those videos of crashes in the tunnel in NY where battery packs are bouncing down the roadway. I guess compact packs are structurally stronger than long skinny ones. Popular Post Murdomeek
Another euc battery fire in the books Nobody was hurt, no houses were burned down. Location: Vancouver Canada Wheel: Nikola plus 100v 1800wh. (Cells: confirmed to be LG M50T) More info: "PSA: My Nikola had a battery fire today I was in my living room and heard a loud pop and hissing sound. Went to check it out. My Nikola was in flames. It was 2ft from the front door so I was able to drag it out onto the street away from any buildings. 5 seconds later it burst into huge flames just like the original s22 video on youtube. Cells popping and exploding in random directions. Called 911 and fire fighters arrived within 4 mins and hosed down the remaining burning plastic. I was lucky to have been home and alert. I was able to get the Nikola out of the house within 10 seconds. If it took me 20 seconds longer, my house would be gone. Really glad no one was hurt, tonight could’ve turned out really different. The Nikola was not charging. The last time I rode it and charged it was 5 days ago. The last time it was in a ‘crash’ was from the TEF race last summer. Has not been ridden hard at all since the TEF race. Hasn't been ridden in the rain. Hasn't bene ridden below 30% battery in a long time. Really scary randomly combusting out of nowhere. Still a bit shook. Please don’t share the photos outside of euc circles, I don’t want it going viral and getting bad spotlight from the public."
