  1. What do you guys think of the looks? These weird protrusions on the top (grab handles?)... eh. I like the Commander Pro looks better, so nice and simple and understated (like the previous Shermans). But probably everything else will be better on the Sherman-S. 2. So far, only the LG M50T are confirmed bad, the LG M50LT (the M50T successor) seem to be fine. But either is moot if the regular version uses the Samsung 50E. Agreed otherwise. No need to fear a fire with either version - 50E or 40T. - I think with $50 difference the 40T version is worth it. If only the mten4 was a bit cheaper overall.
  3. That's a great idea! So what do we want? Then we make fake marketing materials and voila, 2 weeks later a Begode copy
  4. Is there a price difference? Usually I would never trade battery size for something else, but I believe for this wheel it makes sense. The high discharge cells will give you greater peak performance/overlean protection on this 2p battery, and while you will have less range, is the mten really the wheel you would use to its full range capacity and notice the range difference? If the prices are the same I vote 40T. Why not! If the 40T costs more you have to know whether it's worth it.
  5. ~1kg (or a bit more) per metal pedal (swap for what?) and probably not much for the kickstand, but you can always take your angle grinder and shave off any extra bit of weight. Screw off the seat/handlebar for maybe an additional 0.5kg weight savings. So I guess (just a guess) that 2kg is realistic if you find some really light nylon or so pedals. Not sure if that makes a difference.
  6. @RagingGrandpaHe's right, you know. Please fix this abomination of a title. Unless you secretly know of a Sherman-S with a different battery size and possibly different voltage/no suspension, then the title would make sense.
  7. As you mention an ebike: it should be said that EUCs are quite unforgiving if you don't pay attention where you go. Something with two wheels will be much more forgiving if you miss a big pothole, for example. For a (presumably) daily commute every day, maybe in bad weather or when you are in a bad mood/distracted, that is a point to consider - two wheels might just be more relaxed. I don't know anything about ebikes models and what specs they have, though. Of course your commute can easily be done with EUCs in this regard, too. Consult your intuition/gut feeling if the one wheel vs. two wheels thing makes a difference to you.
  8. Achievable? Easily. 40km is no problem for a EUC with over 1000Wh battery (you might want a bit more for reserve and maybe to go 40km with higher speeds, but if you can charge at school this is moot), and the elevation changes are essentially neglegible. It's going to be like 45mins probably, unless it's a route where you can just go fast with no disruptions (e.g. empty country roads) which might be a little quicker (but not too much realistically). That's not short. So you have to think about whether you might prefer a quicker option (if you have one) like a car or public transportation. I very much agree with @Constantinethat for a daily, long commute, comfort is very important. First wheel that comes to mind is the Inmotion V11. It just seems made for such a commute: comfortable due to the suspension, nice lights, decent battery size and speed, reasonably waterproof, overall just neat, and not too crazy expensive. It would be good to know more about your route. Is it in the city with a lot of stop and go and lights? Somewhere in the countryside where you can ride with little distractions? That will decide how long it willl take.
  9. Then all is good I was worried for a second that the defective wheels had maybe soured you on the V11. And they did provide good service after all.
  10. You don't want the V11 they send you now?
  11. Sure it's ok to post your email address! Why not? (You can also edit it out later if you want.) @DAVIDSON couldn't PM yet either (and has not visited today, if you click on the profile), but you can PM now, and by default the adressee will get an email notification about your PM. So that is your best option to get in contact.
  12. The original boards of the V12 HS were bad and broke easily (sudden death during riding etc.). New motherboard refers to the re-designed replacement board that is used on the V12 HS now. The initial V12 HS batches with the bad board had to have their boards replaced with the new one.
  13. If it says "Members" instead of "Newest Members" under your name, that means you can send PMs, post without approval, etc. Like for you now
  14. What about those of us who like to lick the wheels we enjoy? Asking for a friend Lead is heavy and will make wheels heavier. Shouldn't you be against it for that alone? - Someone who talks to ewheels regularly please ask them to clarify this mystery (and ask someone at Leaperkim/Veteran). I'm sure this is nothing... actually I'm not sure What has the world come to, can't trust a EUC manufacturer to not do something really dumb
  15. Now suddenly I'm worried lol. Can someone ask ewheels about this? They should be able to get answers from Leaperkim.
  16. "Nylon plus lead materials" surely is a translation error and not the toxic heavy metal, but I'd really like to know what it is supposed to mean. You never know what madness a manufacturer might manage to do otherwise
  17. (I'm not even on the same continent as NEPA) The V12 is a great wheel. It may be a bit heavy, but you can surely learn on it. Feel free to make a thread about your troubles if you need help. Asking riders in your area is a great idea, too. Good luck and have fun, that's the point https://forum.electricunicycle.org/forum/66-learning-to-ride/
  18. Shermas is great. We've got the Sherman, Shermax, and now Shermas. Alternatively something like "Dash S" if you really need to be 101% clear. Not sure if 44kg is great because it's not too much more than the Sherman, or is awful because it's only 3 kg less than the EX20S, so no big weight improvement.
  19. Nice! In the end, they did provide perfectly adequate customer service, even if the initial shipments were duds. Better than it originally sounded. Hopefully you'll finally ave a working V11.
  20. It's called Sherman-S, not Abrams-S. From the picture comparison, it looks more like a 14 inch rim (= 18-20 inch tire like the Shermans) to me (but who knows). Leave it to a manufacurer to not even tell us the wheel size Agreed. These kickstands are pointless in my opinion. Just stuff that is in the way and might bend/break, while having questionable stability as a stand.
  21. So far they've done nothing bad, just given standard replies. I have some hopes that if you tell them what you expect, they might be receptive.
  22. I think they are just trying to stick to their usual procedure. Write to them again, telling them explicitly what you expect of them. If that does not work, you can give them a link to this thread and escalate, I guess. Is this the official Inmotion selling on Amazon?
  23. A HT version coming isn't exactly a bold prediction. All they need to do is swap the one already existing motor for the other already existing motor.
  24. The Sherman-S suspension picture was out a while ago (before it was known to belong to any new model). I think a lot of the things we see are old news in China, a few months old, so they might have had more time to copy than we think they had. But still, they are extremely fast.
