Inmotion V12HT (may 2022 batch) The rider explained that while riding the V12 HT, it lift the pedals and show an error message about one battery being dead. But after the “diagnostics” in the Inmotion application, the message disappeared. As it's from an insurance, maybe they just googled for the issue and you were the first thing (and possibly only thing) they found. I guess I shouldn't suspect fraud if it's just incompetence/lazyness (still negligent to just ask you for money, basically just by association). In other news, I had a local rider who wishes to remain unnamed, have his high-mileage, non-modified, 100V 1800wh M50T Nikola catch fire during storage, 18 hours after its previous normal ride and not connected to a charger. Hiss, smoke, moved outside, ablaze after another minute. June 2024, Michigan. I saw the photos and know the rider personally. Sorry that I have no independent evidence to share, but it did happen. Ok to skip it from the list if you prefer, since M50T Gotways from 2020 catching fire aren't surprises anymore. And if anyone still owns one of those packs for whatever reason, "it's been working just fine for years" is not a good excuse. Scrap em.
