UncleY6ep
Russia. 14.06.2024. Inmotion V12HT (may 2022 batch) The rider explained that while riding the V12 HT, it lift the pedals and show an error message about one battery being dead. But after the “diagnostics” in the Inmotion application, the message disappeared. After that, at home, when he was talking about sending it to service, the EUC caught fire sourse: https://t.me/BroRiderTV/880

I have always held Inmotion in very high regard around their electronics and safety system design, second only to Segway IMO. Its a shame we will probably never really know what instigated this fire, and I hope nobody got hurt

alcatraz
Aren't the V12HT on 50E cells? Or still on M50LT?

I guess in the US this is not attempted fraud? Because it sure sounds like it to me! I guess they just try and see if you pay anyways?? Lucky for you this has nothing to do with you. Also, I wonder how they can diagnose the RS so precisely after the fire, it looks pretty burnt.

As it's from an insurance, maybe they just googled for the issue and you were the first thing (and possibly only thing) they found. I guess I shouldn't suspect fraud if it's just incompetence/lazyness (still negligent to just ask you for money, basically just by association). Funky
Did this "insurance lawyer" Have a company name/company email? Or something that actually would show it's an actual insurance lawyer? (Don't share it..) If yes - you could contact said company and easily find out if this person, etc is even real... Showing some images with big red arrows and some smart ass commentary is 101 scamming thing. Edited September 23 by Funky
Popular Post RagingGrandpa
Let's safely assume that case has settled already; otherwise J wouldn't be posting publicly about it. The ewheels recall was a very expensive business decision, which hindsight now shows to have been a very smart move: avoiding potentially dozens of injuries, losses, and associated lawsuits. Bravo, Jason. In other news, I had a local rider who wishes to remain unnamed, have his high-mileage, non-modified, 100V 1800wh M50T Nikola catch fire during storage, 18 hours after its previous normal ride and not connected to a charger. Hiss, smoke, moved outside, ablaze after another minute. June 2024, Michigan. I saw the photos and know the rider personally. Sorry that I have no independent evidence to share, but it did happen. Ok to skip it from the list if you prefer, since M50T Gotways from 2020 catching fire aren't surprises anymore. And if anyone still owns one of those packs for whatever reason, "it's been working just fine for years" is not a good excuse. Scrap em. DavidB
Surely fraud would be if they succeeded in getting something. This seems more attempted extortion of $350k and surely warrants contacting authorities. Even if only to put the wind up a lawyer who may succeed next time fleecing an innocent party.
