It is hard to gauge tire pressure via foot pedals with suspension wheels. Tonight I walked my wheel out of the garage, mounted it and almost ate crap and crashed due to the empty tire. I have also set off with far too little PSI only to discover the situation as my sidewall starts to give while turning. This is a QC issue that should not make its way to the consumers. The only part that touches the edge you mention is the brass stem. It does not start to leak after a few dents against shattered aluminum. Big thanks to Black Cobra and Wrong Way for the motivation to install DIY LEDs. Disclaimer - I used interior LEDs (not weatherproof) as they were the only option available at my local big box store. Ordering some weatherproof strips to replace the current solution. I am also going to try to get my hands on another charge port cover that I can customize for the USB connector. One of the officers commented that the V11 had far fewer lights than my previous wheel (V10), as in you are probably harder to see at night now... Quick fix for additional lighting if stored properly - I did not store properly, lol. Also did not like the amount of dust that went into the charging port area with the cover off. Additional lights are a work in progress - going to use rotational brackets for the lights (glue and screw versus Velcro*/DS tape since the saddles need to be replaced anyway). * currently in use (w/ some blue tape, lol). This is the second time that I have been ejected and left in a puddle of mud via park swamp, lol. To start I must state that I am a Inmotion fan boy and have been riding for almost a year. I began on a V8, and quickly followed up with the V10 while learning during the winter months. I instantly fell in love with the freedom of a EUC. From day one I have pushed the limits on my wheels, often overpowering the V8 or riding the full tiltback of my V10 at 48kmph, I’m missing skin here and there but all for the love of the ride. My trust in my wheels allowed me to push the limits to the very edge in speed and off-road capabilities of my wheels (also cost $ for parts when limits get passed) Watching the V11 get unveiled I knew I would have one and put my preorder in on May 10th. Then the pain began, the wait, the over heat hill, the Florida monsoon, the wait, the NYC popper, the shipping hold ups. 🥳But on a cold and wet Monday morning a red faced delivery man struggled to place a big box on my porch at 8am, my wait was over. so terrified of getting a lemon i gingerly opens the box and began the process of charging, inflating and giggling. I attached the ankle pads I had made in preparation and set out into the world for my first ride on a 18” wheel. Wow. coming from a V10 I was prepared for the gyro feel of the flat slick of the tire, I set my feet apart from the wheel and carved that band down as fast as I could. Every ride felt like the one the v11 would break on me, all the problems I had seen had my anxiety jacked. My day came, after 300km I walk the V11 out of a corner store and it began to vibrate and jitter as it moved around. ☹️☹️☹️ so 6 of my motor bolts were as loose as they could get without actually falling out and the other two were getting there. need loctite so I check the mounts regularly now and the wheel feels smoother then day one (probably loose when it came) I still went gently on the new hotness until I saw 500km coming up on the odometer, Full Send. My 70 km trip that pushed me over was a no mercy ride, no fear. I travelled to each euc playground I knew and gave it hell, climbed each hill, raced every straightaway, powered around the switchbacks and didn’t let it rest til the third peak (old garbage dumps turned to parks) As we sat side by side gazing up at the stars together, seated atop a mountain of old garbage and dirt, I realized the V11 is solid. It’s not a wheel to go banging with at the dirt track, but it can hold its own in any environment. As advertised it is a wheel for pros, skills will be tested and you will need to be a master craftsmen if you let the wheel run away from you. Jumping over potholes at 40 and braking along bumpy terrain will always get my nerves on edge, but the v11 always handles it better than I. One thing that was concerning is that my charge port cover fell off when the wheel hit the ground/swamp. A 275lb slab of concrete dropped on my left foot (spotter wandered off. Wife says that I can't fire my Son, lol). Ironically got notification that my Sherman will be shipping out next week.
