Import charges apply at the country of entry, it doesn't really matter where they originate from. On 11/17/2015, 5:39:59, edwin_rm said: Is the KS headlight legit? Importing from China there is probably a 5% possibility of having to pay an import fee (regardless of the value stated on the postage) whereas items coming from USA they always charge full import fees, so obviously it's a huge advantage to any UK customers to receive the item from China. ConjurMan
Jason, what is the url for the site? I tried eWheels.com, but it redirects to wheelgo.com (which appears to be in the UK as prices are listed in pounds). Thanks.

How come no one else does it right way? King Song are experts at it... They let others do the R&D for them, which saves them a lot of $, and can therefore be the most competitive. The company started out by stealing Gotway's blueprints (or reverse engineering it). They know how to implement the ideas of others well. Very immoral and inescrupulous yes, but good for us, the customers. Capitalism, right?

Good point, I'm definitely going to be ordering one of these and anyway I can reduce the chance of paying import fee's sounds like a winner! Stealing someone elses design may not be too moral, but there is nothing wrong with using customer's feedback! Yes some companies pay for it, but if Kingsong can get it free from the willing customers by utilizing the momentum of the fast developing market situation and in return quickly implementing the improvements their customers want, then everybody wins! More power to them.
SlowMo
The only thing hampering the progress of King Song at this moment is the bluetooth application issue which until now is not resolved otherwise it is an impeccable brand.
Viktiga
I heard companies in the US are liable for exports 7 (maybe more?)years back in time. So lying to the customs (in the US)can bite you in the ass later.

Well yeah, that and the overheating issue. It still remains to be seen if they have resolved it by now. Id say overheating is one of the most serious and hardest to resolve. There is a few other minor ones they should work on - foot rest comfort/ size, padding right above the foot rests on the 14 inch model - messes up fyour feet for the first 2 weeks of learning to ride, seemingly shorter distance range compared to gotway, also after tilt back foot rests dont fully come back to horizontal position- it seems to require being " told" what is horizontal, you have to refresh that reference point after tiltback, standard charger gets too hot and if placed on the side or on top by mistake overheats to the point of its plastic case melting. So there still is a few issues but Kingsong is definitely on the right track and moving in the right direction.

Cool, yes, some issues with the forwarders, site development is also taking a bit longer than planned, a couple more days we'll be live, promise... If all goes to plan, then Friday or early next week they'll be here.

edwin_rm
Whoever receives one of these new units first, please post your impressions! Post max speed. Post real world conditions distance range. Its taking me a lot of self-restraint to avoid ordering one of these ultra performance machines. Its so tempting! Gotta. Control. The urge.
