  1. Hi and congratulations on the nice wheel! With broken screw holders already? If I remember correctly, ewheels has custom packs built with the Samsung 48X instead of the LG cells, due to the fire problems the latest Begode wheels (with their standard LG packs) had. Whether the LG cells are to blame for the fires or it is something Begode did isn't entirely clear, but the 48X packs also have other improvements. This is only speculation, don't take it as fact: It looks like EUCO also got one of these improved wheels. Maybe they asked, maybe Begode offers these in the US now, maybe this is just a standard pack but with the 48X cells for some reason, maybe it's a coincidence. This is good, you probably got better battery packs. You can always ask EUCO why you have these batteries and what exactly is going on.
  2. You are absolutely right. Given for what you get for the money (e.g. compare to a motor scooter), EUCs are definitely overpriced. The manufacturers still aren't swimming in money, though. Maybe calling EUCs a boutique industry is correct. Yep!! This is a very good point. Spec-wise, EUCs blow any other electric ridable out of the water. Battery sizes, motors, etc. - Prices are too high, but mostly fair.
  3. It's a very small market, and also the manufacturers price gouge on occasion to get a financial cushion. It's both justified and not. Mostly justified.

  5. I'm surprised. Can you even brake hard at these low speeds before you're simply stopped? In general, if you double these speeds, everything will be easier. Don't be afraid to accelerate strongly to get up to speed quickly (and without an intermediate wobbly low-speed phase). Also brake quickly. Think of learning to ride a bicycle... too slow and you're just unstable and balancing is harder. So a certain baseline speed (maybe 15kph?) helps. Anyways, you know best what works for you and what you are actually doing. Just saying my thoughts
  6. Neat! And it's a 16 incher right (what size is that exactly)? Could be a nice, lighter, hopefully not so expensive alternative to the big boys. Why is it so loud though? EUCs should be silent.
  7. The build looks better than I expected. But it still seems a bit lacking overall. Well, it's still a Begode Looking forward to some real world performance experiences and how this wheel rides! Very cool that they have individual 4 battery packs with their own BMS. - Is the shock absorber in the suspension a standard part than can be replaced with various options, or is it some custom thing?

  10. Yes! A year or two ago, 1800Wh was the standard for the high end, and 2700Wh or >3000Wh was fantastical. Nowadays 1800Wh are the lower end of what I personally would even consider, and only >3000Wh is worth calling "long range". When the KS S20 was revealed? "Only 2200Wh" is its biggest drawback. There are a lot of riders happy with ~1000Wh range who don't even see the need for more. Others will always use all the range they are given.
  11. The wheel works the same whether it is calibrated ultra super level or not. So unless you feel it is not as level as you want it to be, no need to calibrate. But of course a calibration doesn't hurt either, and you can calibrate it to some non-level state if a certain pedal tilt is the most comfortable neutral position for you.
  12. Inmotion Sherman? I love how the lower body is rounded and has no corners that can catch on stuff. The tire always protects it! Obvious but nobody did it like this before.
  13. Actually it's two 1350Wh packsThe "two" packs on each side are one split 3p pack. My argument stays the same. 192 cells for 3600Wh vs. 144 cells for 2700Wh, regardless of how the cells are put into packs, I think they could have fit the extra 48 cells in if they wanted to. At least space-wise. Maybe it would have ruined their really cool build? That's why I'm assuming they simply don't want to go for 3600Wh on the Abrams. Unlike with the Sherman MAX, where new battery cells made 3600Wh the natural choice.
  14. Pump up your tire!! The max pressure is on the rim. Get close to that. 20 psi is essentially a flat tire. - It may help to consciously think about how EUCs work, so you "know what to do" to get it to do the stuff you want it to do. The only thing that the wheel does is go in the direction (front or back) it is tilted. It goes faster and faster until the tilt goes away (or until it can't speed up any longer, which would be a crash). And the only thing controlling the tilt is where your center of gravity is - in front of the center of the wheel (you accelerate), over it (you're keeping your speed constant, which may or may not be zero), or behind it (you brake and go backwards eventually). You can do the following to get an intuition. Forget the wheel, just stand on the ground how you would stand on the wheel. In a rigid position. Would you fall over forward (so you have to take a step forward to catch yourself)? Then, on the wheel, you would be accelerating. Are you stable and in balance, not falling over in any direction? Then, on the wheel, you would do nothing to change your speed. Would you fall over backwards? Then, on the wheel, you would brake. So just lean forwards (you will see you have to take a step forward right away, or you would fall on your face), this is how you speed up. Or just "sit down" (like into a chair) and you will see you would fall on your ass unless you take a step backwards, this is how you brake*. If you do those stances on the wheel, you don't need to take a step, because it catches you - that's the "self-balancing" part of "self-balancing electric unicycle". You don't have to re-balance your center of gravity, the wheel does it for you. The important thing is: if you try a stance on the ground and you don't fall over, this stance does exactly nothing when you do it on the wheel. Specifically, if you don't fall over forward, you would not start going from standstill this way. (Some people try a ski stance - bend the knees, but in a balanced position so they would not fall over- and then wonder why they don't accelerate when doing the same on the wheel.) Then get on the wheel with the help of a wall/pole. Repeat your stances, learn to accelerate/brake, and get a feel for how it works before you learn to step on the wheel without support (because this is much harder than riding on the wheel itself, so do the easy thing first). - Other than that, don't be afraid to do a strong acceleration (strong and brisk forward lean) to quickly get to a reasonably fast speed. Faster = more stable. You need enough space for that, so go outside. This also stops you from ruining your walls or furniture - * This is how you know the following is a great emergency braking technique: bend the knees and let yourself fall back, then straighten the legs almost like you would jump backwards. On the wheel, this will induce a rapid backwards tilt, which means a rapid deceleration.
  15. The Abrams already has 21700 type cells. The original Sherman has the 18650s, and they switched to 21700s with the Sherman Max. If the Veteran guys wanted the Abrams to be 3600Wh, they would probably have done that right away (4 900Wh packs instead of 3). I expect no "Max treatment" for the Abrams for that reason. The Abrams has a lot of wasted space inside, so in principle 3600Wh shouldn't be too hard - if they want to do it.
  16. Guys, if the form factor and weight is the same, it's either 2040Wh LFP or 3600Wh with the standard Li Ion chemistry. You'd need a ton of extra battery space for 3600Wh LFP, which does not seem to be there. The wheel would weigh like 10kg more, but both versions are listed as 47kg. The 100V vs. 116.8V also hints at that - why have different voltages if both are LFP? It's most likely just 3600Wh of the old non-LFP chemistry. I'm afraid your hopes for 3600Wh LFP are futile.
  17. T They can't easily burn, even if punctured. And they offer notably better peak/high stress performance. The downside is only like 50-60% of standard Li Ion battery capacity but the same price/weight/space requirement.
