enaon
nice, with the help of lefteris who lives close to me and has a tesla and I hope the time and willingness to play with it, I believe we will add it soon.
enaon
Kingsong support is here It supports auto lock/unlock of the wheel on connect/disconnect, it uses a pass too. The DK08 is transflective always on, really nice and small watch, amazing battery in the slow refresh rate (the one shown). I've also added a simple double tap(accelerator tap, so it can be used with gloves on) flash-lights/beep-twice to inform pedestrians. Jonny727272
Is there any options for the Samsung watches running Tizen? I have a Galaxy 3 Frontier and love it, but have been using my old Pebble 2 since it supports EUC world.
Planemo
You can use Samsung Tizen (I have used it myself) but I went with the Pebble as it provides more information and lasts all day. Edit: sorry I just realised you meant standalone. In that case, no. AFAIK there is no standalone wheel app for Tizen. You may as well get a full Android smartwatch and run EUCW off that. I don't know if there is a standalone app for the tizen, I think in the past there was one for the ninebots, but I am not sure. It is doable. The work in this thread is for custom hacked NRF52x watches, running espruino and javascript. Those watches do not compare to the market ready smartwatches in terms of features and overall polished interfaces, but as a dashboard for the EUC they are amazing, weeks of battery life on standby, days of continuous usage as a dash. They really do look awesome! I may end up putting one together one day. I'm hoping more companies take the Sherman's display and expand on it to the level of EUC World, but I won't hold my breath on that.
enaon
quick update on the dk08, it is a no go after all I wrote the interface, got it ready and hit the road, only to realize that the BT signal is not good enough in this one, it is not keeping a solid connection to the s18. Thus, as nice as it is, as it cannot be opened to change the antenna without destroying the screen, it is good only as an onboard dash I guess. Popular Post enaon
A small video with a proof of concept, the nrf52 with espruino is very capable of supporting both BT modes at the same time, it can emulate the wheel and offer it to the phone or something else.

Popular Post enaon
This is a small video with the updated interface of the wheel setup up. I have introduced a "Garage" page that shows up when the watch is disconnected, where one can save up to four wheels, or maybe the same wheel twice to allow for a different setup on one touch. There are color based and haptic alarms on speed, amperage, temp and battery. If one or more alert conditions are met, haptic feedback is provided in the form of 150 ms pulses, one for each event, and every 5 they form a longer 500ms pulse. The loop is 3 seconds long, meaning that events if present are reported every 3 secs on the wrist. So for example, if the speed haptic feedback is enabled on 20kh/hm with a resolution of 2 kh/h, 28 km/h will send 4 150 ms pulses, and 42 km/h will send 4 500ms pulses and one 150 ms pulse, in a loop of 3 secs. Similar for the amperage, a small braking action will cause 1 pulse, a stronger one will cause more. The temp and battery give just one pulse every 3 secs. The starting points and the resolution can be set on the watch. The watch can also auto lock and/or turn off the wheel and supports password enabled connection, so it is as secure as it can be to a kingsong wheel. It also provides a City lights mode for the s18, where if day it turns on the lights when over 30 and strobe them over 40, if night it goes to auto, then to on over 20 khm. It allows for the light to work as intended, until kingsong updates their functionality. It also provides a horn feature, if enabled on the menu and the wheel is on and moving, the button sends the lock command and the strobe command on press, and reverts the state upon release. This works nice both for informing pederstians, as a small tap will make 2-3 beeps, and for informing cars on precence at night, as it strobes the lights for as long as it is pressed. It is still work in progress and a hobby but now at a stage where it is more that a toy, excellent with the s18, like a small detachable dash. The video is not very good, the camera was struggling capturing the screen, colors are nicer in real life, but it gives an idea I believe. Yes, I still have the watch and would be happy to test it out with my Tesla V2. There's a chance I may purchase a Sherman this spring as well. :-)

Mantraguy
Quick question - if it doesn't work or if something goes wrong, will I be able to re-flash the original firmware in the watch somehow, or is this a 'one way trip'?

You can't really break it, but it is a one way trip unless you open the device up, and then again it needs effort to revert to original firmware. on the plus side, the original firmware sucks big time Edited March 2, 2021 by enaon
Mantraguy
Which file should I use for step 4? There are two - one is labelled as an alternative.
Mantraguy
Firmware is installed, seems to be working fine. I used the non-alternate for step 4. I haven't figured out a way to adjust the date etc. yet but that's minor. I assume my firmware is not compatible with the Gotway but at least it works and is ready for a new firmware version once available. :-)

The time can be set from the installer tab, the set time button, or from the gadgetbridge app automatically, that will make it provide phone notifications too.
Mantraguy
Sounds good - let me know when there's a Gotway module to try out, and maybe some brief instructions on how to install it (I assume it will be the same process but a different file for step 4)?
