Check out this Meetup with Glydiators http://meetu.ps/e/GQpMb/DMZ1W/d

Join the Glydiators on a chill Sunday stroll down Sligo Creek Trail (SCT). We will meet-up at Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring. From the plaza we take a very short ride over to Sligo Creek to meet the trail. We then follow the beautiful Sligo Creek Trail to the Rachel Carson Trail (RaCT). From the RaCT we will meet and follow the Anacostia River Trail (ART) through the DC Waterfront and waterfront neighborhood to the DC Wharf where we chill, recharge and enjoy the camaraderie of the EUC brotherhood. The event ends at the Wharf, but some of may wish to hang out and continue riding after recharging. For those needing to head out after the ride, the Waterfront Subway Station is two blocks east on M Street.

Please note that this ride is 22 miles and that there are no planned charging stops until we reach the Wharf.

Hi Fellow Riders!

I'm very new to the EUC and lifestyle. I'm about a month in with over 300 miles logged already! I own both Mten3 and 18KSXL, which the Mten3 was my first EUC to learn how to ride. Now after a month of riding, I considering just keeping the 18KSXL and letting the Mten3 go for sell. My riding style and commute are built more for the 18KS however the Mten3 does the job for short commutes and easy carry for transportation.

Is there a separate forum to sell an EUC?

How often do groups meet up in the DC area?

Regards,

Erik

Erik, welcome to the EUC world.  I've never sold an EUC, but it looks like there's a section for selling them on this forum.  See here...  https://forum.electricunicycle.org/forum/24-private-sales-secondhand/

I have a ride coming up this Sunday.  See my previous post above.  RSVP and come join us!

Hello from the Glydiators Erik, and welcome to DC. No matter what PEV you ride, DC has a strong community of supportive riders: EUCs are no exception to this state of affairs. DC's EUC community is highly active, and the Glydiators, as DC's premier EUC group represent the hub of that activity. We organize weekly rides for the EUC enthusiast. Our rides are exciting and fun for all levels of riding experience.

The Glydiators leave no man behind. You will be in great company; there are quite a few 18XLs in our group. Many similar wheels in the same group not only means loads of fun, but it also means that you will have a substantial knowledge resource and support system readily available when you need it.

Check out our Meetup page to find out about upcoming and past events, and to RSVP for those events: Check out Glydiators http://meetu.ps/c/4ckYm/DMZ1W/d on Meetup

Again, welcome to DC Erik. We look forward to riding with you.

Erik-

First, welcome, we're glad to have you.  I live in Baltimore, but ride frequently with the Glydiators in DC and elsewhere.  In fact, we've got a great ride in Philly this weekend if you're free.  If it's reasonable, I have suggestion for your mTen3... keep it if you can.  Inevitably, you'll run into friends, family, coworkers, etc. who are curious about your wheels.  You won't want to put them on your 18XL for a "try out", but your mTen could suffice.  I started on an InMotion v5f (aka Solowheel Glide 2).  I rarely ride it anymore, but I've used it to introduce several friends to our awesome hobby.  I give lessons and lend it out.  At least two friends are looking to purchase wheels of your own.  What's better than meeting new friends, plus bringing old ones into the fold?  If you're able, be an EUC evangelist!

Do what makes sense for you, but whatever the case, I look forward to meeting you at Glydiators ride sometime soon!

I ordered all of my wheels, with the exception of my Segways, from Freemotion. You can barter with them as well. I've not had any issues with them at all and they carry some Inmotions.
