It’s so fast and smooth. I’m not brave enough to go much over 30 but it will cruise at that speed effortlessly. Even up hills it just keeps cranking along. Yet at the same time it’s nimble at slow speeds. You can do very small circles without scraping the pedals. With all the new wheels coming out it’s easy to overlook this one but it’s a real gem. I wonder if price/availability or battery safety were the reasons for the switch. There seem to be no external logos and lights (like on the AR+), it just a regular 100V Nikola with more battery. The low dollar to mile / watt-hour ratio is really tough to beat. It’s fast, nimble enough, priced reasonably, comes with a two year warranty and now with a more enduring range?!? Yes please! I think the value is so great in this wheel as I have a second one coming in today so I always have a wheel ready and if supply chain issues worsen extra spare parts so I can keep on riding through the apocalypse that is the 2020’s 🙏🏼🔋⚡️🧘🛸 I predict when shortages start to take out new release wheels or drive up their costs people will run for this one, if they don’t they should definitely consider it. I got a neoprene cover for this wheel which I found at eWheels. If so, is this one of the models with the elevated fire risk per the eWheels recall? You can reasonably assume they use the 48X for the AR+ (which came before the official 2700Wh Nik), but it's only an assumption. Whether they use the 48X on all new Niks is a question, too. Maybe only on the 2700Wh models? Good to hear you're still loving the AR Nik since I was planning to get one! It's selling now for 2199.00 BUT with only a 6 month warranty. The change from 2yr to 6mo warranty made me pause though. Not that I was expecting any problems from the wheel at all but I was curious if you, (or any other AR Nikola owner) had any thoughts on that! I just noticed AR is offering a fan upgrade for the Begode wheels for 75.00, I'm thinking of adding that... https://alienrides.com/collections/accessories/products/gotway-fan-upgrades I only ask because during a group ride at Griffith Park, one guy's Nikola started overheating, (I think there were 2 other Nikolas there that were fine though) so we had to stop for about 10 minutes so it could cool down... plus iirc the stock fan is super loud and the upgraded fans are supposed to run quieter.
