meepmeepmayer
Nice and sturdy. I would cover the top with something soft so it won't scratch the wheel over time.

I think the scratches from the stand will account for maybe 5% if looking at my MSX is anything to go by 💀🙂
magicrobots
Love it! I'd totally pay you for one of those. I currently have a guitar stand that is too weak and shallow to handle the 16x, and the 3D printed one is too narrow. And I have no skills with a welder.

Johnw
Been looking at possibly using this adjustable guitar stand for my 16X... https://www.amazon.com/Foldable-Aluminum-AGS8-Adjustable-Protection/dp/B01MS6176O/ref=sr_1_18?keywords=Guitar%2Bstand&qid=1585353983&sr=8-18&th=1 Just wondering if the tubular steel will support 50 lbs... Anyone have success with this? I have a similar one that works well for my V8 but the 16X much wider and almost twice as heavy. John

(Plastic is not that tough) I changed it to another model, initially planned for motos, but as it is adjustable it works well. John Middleton
Created a easy to build wooden stand. 1 piece of 2 x 12 lumber cut to 16" length for the base. 2 pieces of 2 x 6 lumber cut to 11 1/2" long for side braces. Four 3" L brackets with 16 screws mounted between the base and side braces. Six 3" wood deck screws mounted through the bottom up in each side brace.

Once in place it does not move, it is really blocked. The only possible instability is on the side when pushed, as the stand is not very large. Johnw
Ah ok... looking at your pics again and it seems that the 16X is quite snug in there. Nice mods to the shell! Is that some kind of wrap?
John Middleton
The wrap protection I got from eWheels but also available at amazon and you need double sided tape https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CQT344B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 i have replaced the wrap with a nice custom cover from Roll.nz

Thanks, yes it is: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000041796591.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.60f36c37ltPxHR A bit to big to my taste (5mm), requires some work to cut tailor made to the wheel, but does the job of protecting and not sliding when gripping the wheel.
