Nostris
The aggressive bike rider seems to be a global thing now. Why, I don’t know. Is it just that some see themselves as eco warriors, against everyone that’s not on a bike? Frankly! Some I’ve met seemed to be on the autistic spectrum
null
In Paris they are the worst offenders, even before moped scooters. 80% don’t stop at red lights even though there are pedestrians or traffic the other way. If you remind them of rules they insult you. This includes women with kids on the back of the bike. They immitate their favorite influencers who have reckless behaviours and think its cool to do the same. Ive seen some instagram videos which were the total replica of what i see on bike lanes. I've noticed they like to insult people on PEV for nothing too, i even got one on video doing that. redsnapper
given the significant consequence of reckless behavior on bike and natural selection, would this problem not be self-limiting?
Mortal Coil
I usually abhor fanaticism of any kind and the cycling community certainly has more than their share. But that fanaticism does lend itself to bike lane advocacy, of which I’m very happy to be a beneficiary.
