  1. They don't. I meant cannibalizing S19 sales with the S16. For me, the S19 is more or less the same as the S16 (not for super duper enthusiasts, but a great performing wheel with a lot of nice features, ideal for new riders and commuters) but a tire size bigger. So a price difference of 800, 900, maybe even 1000 in favor of the S16 will cannibalize S19 sales (unless the S16 sucks somehow). As for S19 vs S22 (maybe you meant to write "S19"?), I think the prices favor the S22 anyways. I do believe the S19 at the current price may very well have a market for itself (even just because of its looks as compared to the S22, for example) and be successful, even if many might go for the S16 instead. Its price doesn't change that it appears to be a great wheel.
  2. This would have been the opportunity to go 1999 with the V11Y. Oh well, I guess it's low enough... barely. - Is there any consensus on what the "?" in the S16 price is going to be? 1999? 1899? 1799? (I can't see it being less, though that would sure be nice.)
  3. We still don't know the V11Y price, right? I hope there will be no bad surprise there.
  4. Surprise! Wheels that are under 2500, in fact closer to 2000 than 2500, look good, are well built, have plenty enough performance for most people, and are modern designs with suspension or other features instead of being 5+ year old designs with questionable electronics (that are nearly as expensive) sell well! It's a complete mystery how that could be the case. (Not snarking at you... but at the manufacturers and their pricing). The S16 might very well be the hit wheel of 2024. The price is right. If it doesn't suck completely for some reason... 50kph or 60kph (sure 60 would be nice but it must not increase the price too much), who cares, it's exactly what new riders (minus the performance enthusiasts) can enjoy!
  5. I have high hopes for the S16 and expect it to be just as good (if not better) as the S19 in terms of quality and refinedness and sleekness (why not? Seems to be what KS is focusing on atm.). It's sad how KS is (possibly) cannibalizing itself with these two wheels, but it's their own fault in the end. As for IM, yes their new wheels are great, and priced according to the market. But in the end I'm still sour about them because (like some others *cough* Sherman-S *cough*) the prices are just too high in absolute terms. The Adventure is 3400, and for a few hundred more you could get an EX30 or something else with 3600Wh. And honestly, an investment of nearly 4000 (wheel + gear + whatnot) to get into the game is crazy to me. That's exactly why I have such high hopes for the S16. A wheel as "good" (minus some speed/batter capacity) as the S19, but for under 2000, is exactly the improvement we need. I truly hope it doesn't suck! As for the S19, it would be a fantastic wheel to recommend to new riders if it were maybe 2200-2300. With the higher price... eh, for whom is it? It's still very nice and people very well may buy it in droves. I just don't like the high prices nowadays. Maybe we will have KS to thanks for changing this after the S16.
  6. Interesting. Eevees don't want to sell the S19 (right away) because They've been burned by first batch wheels, with costly repairs paid for by them They think too many new models have been released recently (24 wheels in 18 months - is it really that many?) They're not totally sure for who this is - it's no competiton for performance wheels, and for beginners there's the S16 which is much cheaper - and they are wondering whether the S19 would sell (they're asking people if they would buy the S19) But they say it's great and sleek, if expensive. They very much like it. (And wow, that lift switch implementation is maximally stupid.) - I wonder if this needs a severe price drop to sell. Might depend on how good the S16 is. If the S16 is just as good but (nearly $1000) cheaper, the S19 might be a hard sell.
  7. We all would greatly appreciate a list of top selling EUCs, or a sales ranking of all of them. That comes to mind as you mention "lacklustre response" to King Song models. It would be great to know which wheels actually sell. So if that is information you can release, please do so!
  8. IM needs to do less marketing and more releasing with the V11Y. What's holding this back is that it's not out yet and we don't know the price.
  9. Has Inmotion officially used the "V14" moniker anywhere, or is this still something that we made up here?
  10. Hello! If your V10 is brand new, contact your seller. It's their job to fix issues with a brand new wheel.
  11. Yes, exactly. It's technically the same size as the V12 (you could exchange tires) - 3 inch wide tire on a 12 inch rim. Now how a wheel actually rides depends on things like the specific tire used (obviously), weight distribution, ergonomics/pedal location, firmware, etc. But the big differentiator is always 12 inch rim ("16 inchers", in quotation marks for a reason) vs. 14 inch rim ("20 inchers"). Naturally, the smaller diameter tire wheels will feel more zippy and direct. I would not make too many conclusions about stability (at speed?) from that, though. A "small" wheel can be very stable with a good weight distribution. I believe the Patton is quite good in that regard. @EF95This is a great example of two "16 inchers" with quite different tire diameters. 3 inch wide vs. 2.125 makes a huge difference. I'm glad that manufacturers are switching to "real" numbers from this kind of thing. If only they would do it consistently But from the rim size and tire width (3 inch nowadays for pretty much all new wheels) you can figure out what kind of wheel it is.
  12. Historically, "16 inch" meant 12 inch rim (like the Patton). The first wheels with a 12 inch rim had 2.125'' wide tires (or even just 1.9'' wide), so the "16 inch" moniker might have been somewhat correct for the true diameter of the tire back then. That's where that comes from. With a 3'' wide tire, the true diameter is something like 17.5'' (depends on the tire). Anything from "18 inch" to "20 inch" historically meant a 14 inch rim, where "18 inch" was used for 2.5'' wide tires and "19/20 inch" was advertised when the now-all-popular 3'' wide tires (possibly knobby for a bit extra diameter) came around. The actual tire diameter for a 3'' wide tire on a 14'' rim is more like 21.5'' (or something like that). I'm not sure what true diameter your V11 tire has, but I suspect it's notably over 18 inches. The confusion stems from the fact that the manufacturers have recently started stating numbers closer to the actual tire diameters (with the ubiquitously used 3'' wide tires) because bigger number = better and the old naming made little sense with the 3'' wide tires being standard now (before, there were "16 inchers" like the Patton and "16 inchers" like the V8, with quite different true tire diameters and thus riding behavior). The Patton is a "16 inch" wheel with a 12 inch rim and an actual tire diameter that can be generously rounded up to be 18 inches. One of the recent Begode wheels (I think the T4) has the same tire size and was advertised as "17 inch", which is somewhat exact. In doubt, check the rim sizes - 12 vs. 14 inches.
  13. That guy last visited the forum over 2 years ago. You probably will not get a reply
  14. All those battery degradation worries are always overblown. This is the reality
  15. Please post in English here. Google Translate: Feel free to also post this in the Dutch thread (there you don't need to post in English):
  16. I put this into its own topic. The V11 board was a bit shaky on release, but I think with firmware updates and a bit changed hardware(?) they got this under control. I wouldn't worry particularly much. Just understand that the V11 is not a wheel to do extreme stuff with. Just riding normally, even fast, won't be a problem for the board.
  17. I agree, 134V vs. 126V should not make a meaningful enough difference in top speed or battery size to choose 134V just for that. 126V is fine, see the Patton. Wheel design and features will count more. (Nitpick: it's 3240Wh (instead of 3330Wh) if you use 3.6V here, too. I prefer to just count cells. 180 cells vs 192, or 15/16th of that, which is 93.75%.)
  18. What models do you think we will get? Surely a F20/F22 with 3330Wh as a bigger-battery version of the S22? But what else? F16? F24?
  19. I put this into its own thread after too many KS F-series rumors were flying in the S16 topic.
  20. Capacities over 5000mAh! Nice! Bigger EUC batteries for free (meaning not heavier or physically bigger)! I'm more excited about this than about high discharge cells, though high discharge cells are great because they allow lighter/smaller/cheaper wheels to still have proper performance to be useful and safe.
  21. Never heard of a battery degrading as fast as you describe. I would say most likely your charger simply does not work. What is the voltage before and after charging? The voltage is the charge state, so you can immediately see if charging happens (or doesn't happen) from the voltage. Do you know if you have a 84V or 67V mten3? Do you know the battery size?
  22. So we might get a King Song F20 or something? Weird. But ok, I'm always happy when the manufacturers expand their lineup!
  23. (Denis Hagov is the eucsale guy.) Paging @Funky, this might be the wheel for you.
  24. Looks like an even smaller suspension wheel might be coming!
  25. Does that refer to the S16 (another golden wheel from KS?) or King Song in general?
