Smoother
So, we all have "handles" or screen names we go by. Some might use their real name, or a fake real name. But most of us use something silly, that means something to us, but to no one else here, usually. Also what's with your image (avatar?) so I was wondering, what's in YOUR name, and avatar. I'm sure there are some stories out there. I'll kick it off by telling you mine, Smoother: in my years I have raced go karts, and jet skis, and been a fan of motorsports. The key to going fast, apparently, is to be smooth, no jerky movements that scrub off speed, and destabilise you race craft. So one day when a racing buddy decided to be "Smooth" , I decided to be "Smoother". Simple as that. Avitar. Gonzo from the Muppets: my family has Eastern European roots, and along with that comes noses on the larger side. Now I don't think my nose is that large, but my brother (same family genes) nicknamed me Gonzo in school, over 40 years ago (yes children the muppets are that old). Anyway, the name stuck, so now I'm Gonzo, and PROUD!!!
Greg Spalding
Another great topic... I've been involved in 20+ forums over the years - for photography - for cars - for motorcycles - etc. Greg, of course, is my real first name and Spalding is of course the name of the sporting goods company I used to name my first dog, who was a wonderful Shetland sheepdog, who passed away at almost the age of 15 long time ago. He got that name because he bounced around like a ball long after he was a puppy. My real name is Greg Savel and I am a pediatrician on the West Coast of Florida for the last quarter of a century my avatar has no special significance except that I wanted something round like a wheel that we catch people's eye. The truth is, and of course I have been a moderator a lot of forums as well, My favorite avatar I will place below which you can imagine was given to me by folks over the years because of my tendency to post too often... LOL I'm surely NOT doing that around here..... ________________________________ Thanks for starting this awesome thread

Greg Spalding
I'm at my office every day at 5 AM, but today I got here closer to 6:30 AM... As we are open seven days a week I will see 25 or 30 patients this morning in the office I do have three partners and only work every fourth weekend but with Thanksgiving coming next week everybody wants their kids to be well I already have four coughing children in the lobby it is better than being at home, arguing with my wife about why i have 3 wheels in the dining room where Thankgiving dinner will be served in a few days

The Fat Unicyclist
@Smoother / @Greg Spalding / @Rehab1 - all so intricate / clever. I'm just a fat unicyclist... Yes, I've been meaning to ask that too. @Cerbera any significance to the handle? @Greg Spalding voice text! Of course. Why didn't I think of that. Don't bother fixing old messages, you'll be at it a month, you post pimp you. How do you punctuate in voice text (iOS I assume). I can never get the periods and commas, unless I do it the old telegram way eg. Dear John stop your wife has left you stop come quick stop
