Tawpie
Maybe the complaint is that things got emotional in the store, not that the wheel failed to meet the customer expectations? It's clearly a case with two sides to the story and we're only getting one side—but regardless it is unfortunate that a customer felt abused during the interaction. Maybe the yelling was justified, maybe it wasn't, but it is sad to hear that anyone felt the need to raise their voices.
Popular Post eevees
Hi everyone, I'm the owner of eevee's and would like to clear the air. First off, we never sold him a lemon. He wanted to purchase an EUC for under $1000 (CAD$) and I explained to him that such an EUC does not exist. He seemed like he really wanted to buy one so I offered him our demo unit MCM5 for $1200. He was still hesitant and said he couldn't afford it and asked if we could do it any cheaper. Feeling bad for him and seeing how badly he wanted to get an EUC, I said we can give it to him for $1000 with no warranty and being a used item, it would be a final sale. He agreed to this and we rung him through. I really felt like I was doing him a favour as we don't really sell our demo wheels to customers. The MCM5 I sold him had a lot of scratches on it (from being our demo wheel). He knew this when he purchased it. A few weeks go by and he punctures his tire tube and needs a replacement. We offered to perform the service for him but he refused and decided to do it himself. He told me that he took apart and patched the tire 5 times. He called our technician who spent hours of free time explaining how to take apart the MCM5 and change the tire. We normally charge for our technician's time but our tech have him the advice for free. During the tire changes, he chipped multiple parts of the shell which is only cosmetic anyway and doesn't affect the performance. Anyway, he comes back into our store irate and accusing us of selling him a "lemon". Here's the thing... the EUC works fine! The shell has cosmetic damage but it is most certainly not a lemon. After explaining that to him and that used wheels are final sale, he threatened a "class action lawsuit" and small claims court if he didn't take back the MCM5. We offered to provide him with new shell pieces at cost ($20) which he refused. He continued to threaten us with lawsuits so I calmly asked him to leave the store in which he refused. I asked him nicely multiple times and when he refused, I told him that I would call the police. He still wouldn't leave so I finally had to resort to yelling him out of the store. After he left, he sat outside and told every customer who walked in that we sell lemons. My business partner who has a lot more patience went outside to speak with him. We have him on camera admitting that selling a cosmetically scratched EUC is not considered a lemon. He told Lukas that he doesn't know who he is messing with and kept saying "I am god! You don't know who you're messing with! I am GOD!" We are so integrated in our community and give the best possible customer service to our customers. People in the Vancouver community know us well and this is not how we treat customers. Unfortunately sometimes you get irrational people. Popular Post supercurio
Thanks @eevees for the clarification. To me, your story is a lot more believable @AeonDrone's version since you shared the information he refused to despite multiple requests aka the context and what the problem was to begin with. Maybe better call the police in such case instead of having to do the policing yourself? Not sure. Either way this problematic thread should probably not remain, it seems rather misleading. Thanks for hearing me out. I shouldn't have yelled at him but my patience wore thin after all the time we spent with him. He keeps saying we sold him a broken EUC but it works perfectly fine. It only has cosmetic scratches and chips caused by him when did performed his "5 tube repairs".
Popular Post Mango
Agreed. This thread is misleading by the original poster. Should be deleted because it’s unfair to the store owners. Topic starter should seek psychiatric help immediately.
winterwheel
In case it does remain, I'll just mention that several people here in Edmonton have acquired wheels from eevees in Vancouver, no complaints or issues.

Popular Post RockyTop
I wasn't there. I can't say what happened. Most customers, about 90% are amazing, generous people. About 9.9% are a bit grumpy but still reasonable. It is that last 0.1% that make you question having ever opened your doors to the public. You then immediately decided yelling and screaming at customers is a good idea. At any point is never right to do what you did to anyone

EUCRookie
Do you all think the right thing to do here is for @eevees to upload the video let everyone can see what really happened that day? I'm not saying I'm a saint either and all I wanted to do is make things right and not leave on bad terms. Even after all this time they haven't reached out to apologize and invite me back to make things right because they're not good people to deal with and this is a good thread to let others know about it. If they ever decide to call me and make things right then I will rest my case but they have to be genuine and actually admit they were wrong and show us the video
