I removed all of the velcro that was attached to the mirror and cleaned off all the sticky residue. I then roughed up the surface (that attaches to the helmet) with ~80-grit sandpaper.

Using high-strength double-sided tape, I stuck the mirror to the side of the helmet. The connection has been holding very firm for a few weeks now.

hmm i thought of using hot glue if it didnt work.. so i think that will work i also have double side tape but i will see when it arrives "latest date for delivery 2 of march"

heyy look i have my own page! :dribble:   not for long though.. :cry2:

Hot glue won't work for long and way too messy. The tape will work, just don't skip the prep work (cleaning and roughing).

i have some pretty good hot glue that is hard and lasts but it can be taken off if you pry it off

i have used the hotglue for my camera mount on the helmet for a month now works perfect.. i will just see how it is when i get mirror

It is the outer shell of a F16 that was in use by the Belgian air force.

I found the location of the monument using Google

f16, monument belgium afb flickr

Then I read that the location is a hot topic of considerable debate.

Nice photo!

Estimating the EUC footprint

So.....if a rider weighs r pounds, the EUC weighs e pounds, the extra gear weighs g pounds and the tire pressure is p (pounds per square inch)

Then the footprint in square inches (without g forces in a turn) is

Footprint (inches squared) =

(r + e + g)/(p)

For 200 lbs total

The euc's ground footprint is about 5 square inches for a 40 psi tire

There are two kind of people, the ones that already know that wet wood always is a deathtrap, and the ones that might still learn that wet wood always is a deathtrap.

I have a special hatred in my heart for people who build wooden bike and pedestrian bridges. Pure thoughtlessness.:furious::furious::furious:

i knew the bride would be a little slippy but it has some groves so i thought maybe i could go over it with caution but the turn it slid and i fell... Why wood?? I agree with you

Fortunately it was a slow-speed fall. Yeah, wet wood equals "go really slow". I had a fall a couple weeks ago while going very slow and straight over algae covered cement (with an inch or two of water over it).

I tell you, this is a contact sport :D
