Cerbera
Not sure if this is posted here anywhere else, but Chooch has got a V13 under his feet, and gives it a proper rinsing almost immediately ! I know he loves all the wheels, but he REALLY loves this one ! An interesting watch to be sure... A High Roller
I made it around the block. Hit a couple speed bumps at low speed. What do I need to know about these motor bolts? My wheel is from Eevee's, and is shipped with the defective bolts. I don't want to shear them off before they send me the new ones.

There is a small chance that some (or none) of your bolts are lower than designed grade, which could result in one or more of them shearing upon stronger impact. While the chance is small, especially under "mild" riding conditions, it's recommended to replace them and either prevent riding all together or ride at lower speeds and extreme caution.

PRIMETIMEDAWG EUC
Here are the new V13 motor bolts I just received from eWheels. They do have lock-tight on the screws on the other side. The screw needs a 5mm hex. Edited March 7, 2023 by pixelmajic

Very entertaining and aspiring on how he rides indeed. I purchased my V13 from Alienrides and was one of the first to get it since I did a local pick-up. I commute 5 days a week in this city (San Francisco) and this video covers 80% at most of my 8-10 mile ride each way. Especially video 3:20, where the street speed limit is 45-50 mph is the reason why I wanted/needed this wheel to go with the flow of traffic in some areas. My previous wheel I commuted was KS18, which tops out at 31 mph, was insufficient in some street area that doesn't have a bike lane. In those instances I would be elbow to elbow with the cars, I would get passed by vehicles quite often like a big rig passing you by when I was riding my MC. That gust of wind getting passed by could get really sketchy on those instances. And having to go on the sidewalk for so long I would have to reduce my speed to walking to pass pedestrian if they are in my path to be respectful. Switching to the V13 is a game changer and makes my commute so much fun that I have a bigger grin on my face when I get to work and home. I love how this beautiful city throws all the variables and obstacles at me, which makes it entertaining for me. Note: I have fixed my pad on the rear it was upside down and opposite sides. Popular Post 2disbetter
The Flow work great on the V13. But I was looking at the new 3rd gen clark pads, and I think those would work really well also. Chooch uses them in his video. I am going to order the clark bumper pads though. I don't need the seat as I don't aspire to ever sitting on the wheel. But the front and rear bumper protection would just be nice to have. The only signs that I dropped my wheel one time is on the front bumper of the wheel. It eats me up everytime I see it.

But being stopped at intersections, a lot times there is a motor vehicle right next to you. What I have done when possible was to walk across the intersection until I get to a section where it isn't so steep. But it would be nicer if I could just get on and go.

Stay on the crosswalk. They're the only level grade in SF. Or slowly creep up on lean at the stop light and time it when it turns green..

When I'm out and about and the trail is steep, I have to rely on being able to free mount at a standstill, then when I'm actually on I can really lean into it. Otherwise, it's hiking to a flatter spot and that's aerobic exercise. I'm not a fan. Consequently, I've taken to trying to do all my launches without the skateboard push, and as slow as I can getting the second foot on (to practice side-to-side balance at a standstill). Practice practice. Practice some more. Still a long way to go to be proficient, and then I have to try on the other foot!

Balancing at zero speed is no walk in the park. But I do understand where you are coming from. Once, you are able to get both feet on the pedals at zero speed, then you can immediately lean into the pads. This approach is quite ideal, if you can do it. 2 hours ago, Punxatawneyjoe said: set it 5° tilt forward and mount on the front of the pedals? Maybe try that. I also lean and hunch my body hunch over the wheel as I mount. That seem to help too. But ultimately, I have to lean into the pads as soon as I can. Popular Post Forwardnbak
i just finished up a 82km ride - avg speed 37kph, top speed 85kph had 14% battery left but getting tilts and warning about 20kph at that stage. It was still rolling 50kph until about 15% This same range test on v11 had me at 70km limping it a lot towards the end. V13 has much more useable power at low battery On another note - Haven’t been able to push it above 85kph I have tried a few times and feel i’m pushing enough to find a little more. Someone just reminded me of the speed being limited unless on 100% hardness. I have my pedals at around 85% so i think that’s what limited speed.
Popular Post 2disbetter
For me, I'm finding getting beyond 75 kph is a real problem. I can't seem to do it. I have pedal softness to 100% (which should mean pedal hardness 100%), and I have the assist modes off. But like you, I'm finding that the usable power at various levels is incredible. You can still hit 70 kph at 30% battery.

I turned the speed assist on and up to 70% on the way home, i think i like it. Seemed to take the load off the legs on initial get go a little. Felt more responsive. I might head out later and just test with hardness up to 100 and see how it rolls. Low battery was great! vast improvement over the V11. Power even uphill on low battery was great.

Where you saying that you hit 85 kph WITH speed assist set to 70%?
Popular Post Eyss
Inmotion released a video for the motor bolt replacement. But they have a different tire on the wheel that I like the look of. Some sort of CST and looks like a street tire. Possibly batch 3? Where you saying that you hit 85 kph WITH speed assist set to 70%? I am still working out how speed assist works but I THINK? i feel the wheel slightly helping with a tilt, and the reverse mechanism to the braking assist. I think, my legs are still tuning into things and i changed pedal hardness so it felt different tonight. I just went out then and initially had speed assist on 100 and braking assist on 100 and that’s when it felt like a floaty tilt helping to accelerate. Not sure if also it gives a more nimble response but it felt so, this though could be related to if it tilts it helps me accelerate easier/more responsive. 100 was not my cup of tea at speed, i wanted more solid feel. I tried 60 for braking and speed on my last runs and that might be ok. Does that all make sense? I am really not sure yet. Give me another day. I got to 86.5kph then. wow even small movement and wind and that speed can destroy you. TUCK IN! it’s charging for the second time today, 3 long rolls today.
