Paulandjacquelyn
I just got my new "pedestrian early warning " system in place. It is small, ring is not startling, and fits in pocket or hand comfortably. It worked great and did not startle any pedestrians. It was $8 on amazon. I can be worn as ring while riding to. Highly recommended. Gopro for size comparison.
playdad
Lol nice. So that's basically the bike handlebar mount.

But I was actually referring to Paul's "worn as ring" at that point. I found that quite funny.
OliverH
There're finger bells used also used by skaters: https://www.bike-parts-plus-more.com.au/shopquestion.asp?id=37080
Gil
This is also a good solution : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zEzPUX_3K4 As miniaturization is a key, we could try this also : http://www.zoomalia.com/animalerie/grelot-romain-pour-chien-24mm-p-21478.html?referer=789632&gclid=COrHlY2V6skCFVFuGwodatIB7g#55236&mkwid=s5YGcgajZ_dc&pcrid=50865256830&pkw=&match=&tri=
AceFace
These whistles look pretty cool, although should probably only be used in an emergency as it would be a sure fire way to build further opposition to EUC's on the street. It slides onto your fingers so is there when you most need it https://www.skatehut.co.uk/accessories_1/other_stuff/fox_40_sonik_blast_cmg_whistle_finger_grip.htm

Paulandjacquelyn
The bell is very low key. It is just a nice single ding that makes them aware without startling them. Worked flawlessly on several people with no jumps or gripes. Keep in pocket and just take out when riding busy sidewalks.
