Suggestions on a helmet

For a helmet, I liked the matte black Bell model. I am using lacrosse elbow pads, knee pads under my pants, work boots protect my ankles, NFL lineman gloves, which I am going probably replace with heavy duty wrist guards, and I also use a mouth piece just in case.

Yap, those are the ones.  Really good price.  But looking at what everyone else has, I worry they might just be Cheap.  Cheap is OK if your going for a "look".  I don't care if I look like I'm wearing gear.  I want it to protect me.

I would be optimistic that they will absorb a considerable amount of energy in case, which is what they are meant to be for. I guess it is hard to say whether more expensive protectors are significantly more protective. A quick Google search doesn't reveal much information and I wouldn't even be sure that this has been studied in a way such that we could know at all.

Hi,

I have been following this great forum for a few weeks now, and after reading a lot of good advice from you I ordered my 9B1 E+ some days ago - Waiting with no patience at all.  ;)

To go with the nice look for the 9B1 I bought this helmet - UVEX City V helmet: 81%2B3oolHEFL._SL1500_.jpg

I found it here: http://www.rosebikes.dk/search/find/?q=uvex+CITY+V+helmet

The packet should come tomorrow. Nice!!

I will be the new robocop in the streets of Aalborg, Denmark. I might skip the slim bodysuit.  :D

Finally received the protection gear from Banggood. I don't want to say they are bad, but they really are not much. Might be made for a child.  They are too small.  I'm glad I went by Dick's and bought wrist guards ment for roller blades.

I hope it's better than this junk - it won't protect against anything other than grazes - no impact protection.

Hi, would you mind telling me where did you order those from? Thank you!

I got mine from a Finnish skating web-store: http://gearcheck.fi/en/   Probably they can ship worldwide, but also probably not the cheapest source to get them... ;)

Thanks for the link. They seems to be out of stock for Large sadly but I'll try to call them or drop them email if they can restock and how much would be shipping. Worst case I can try to bug someone from our Office in Helsinki to pick it up for me ;)

I am using my good ol' trusty double sided Roces wrist guards that I've been using when rollerskating. Similar to those Flexmeter's

They are surely more than 10 years old so Roces have some different new models now. But, hey, comfortable and still kicking after all this years.
