Popular Post Josiah
Lol, thanks guys. Walk in shower didn’t take all my energy. I didn’t do the new rout but did mod my standard a bit and felt like it was the first ride because I’m still so new at this. 20 miles or so. 24 degrees f outside 30 mile per hour top speed. Got speed wobbles more under control. Trying to ride from the tailbone rather than feet and get more comfortable leaning forward and using knees and hips as a shock absorber for bumps. Josiah
I found my next wheel in motion V5 used for $250 but my wife said are you kidding me no more expenses at the moment. In my mind that wheel would bring my cost per wheel down $1875. Might go a few used, like my buddie does. Pennie’s on the Dollar from new owners who didn’t get the feel for it or experienced riders who are upgrading. Also looking at the T 4 from ewheels! As per Eric and Jason’s suggestion. Pennie’s on the Dollar from new owners who didn’t get the feel for it or experienced riders who are upgrading. I knew it. I lucked out... convinced the SO that the S22 would be a grand 40th anniversary present. Then stumbled into a couple of used wheels at bargain basement prices, resold them and scored the S22 during the eevee's November we-gotta-move-these-turds sale. Net cost of the S22 was $635, including ningning 8 sliders. I came in well under budget. Edited March 2, 2023 by Tawpie 1

Hellkitten
@Tawpie At $635, that sounds like a good discount. I’m sure it wouldn’t take much to convince the SO that with your wheeling and dealing skills you couldn’t afford NOT to get another one. 🤔

Josiah
I just took my interpretation of @Hellkitten’s advice. Basically skipped work all together to try riding in a new area. The result is, I’ve been promoted again! EUC – 4 I’ve reached the enlisted rank of specialist! A couple of fun things happened on my ride today. Number one got to explore new areas. Number two found a skate park did pretty well on the six stair and various parts of the skate park until I dropped my wheel into a huge bowl. had a lot of fun time in there until the wheel dropped me on my face because I have not adjusted the berm setting. Then it took four full grown men /skaters and me to pull the beast out of the bowl. Lucky I wasn’t there at night by myself I would’ve been picking up the wheel the next morning. Number three I found a policeman guarding the neighborhood taking a rest stop in a car park at a local public park where I was riding. Decided this was a great opportunity to showcase my new skills. So I begin to circle the police officer because of the location of his car. The circle meant that I would hop a curb, and go up a steep hill off road where I would drop a curb circle around hop the curb and go back down steep off road hill, in front of his police vehicle. Then promptly cross the parking section to hop two more curbs and complete the lower part of the circle. After making this loop twice, I noticed that his friend second police officer showed next to him. So exciting to have more fans! Then I continue to do this loop, but choose a more aggressive and gnarly section of the off-road to up the hill. After completing this route two times in front of the two police officers, I slow down to a pedestrian pace and raise my visor at which point the first officer rolls his window down. What is that? I’ve been filming you. That’s amazing. I explained the wheel to them and got to witness their pure aww and joy at seeing the capabilities of the wheel! We had a two second legal conversation that I started, where I describe how I’m operating in a gray area of the law, to which one of the officers responded and I’m paraphrasing here but that they have no reason to pull me over. after that adrenaline rush, I proceeded to play in the rest of the local area, where I finally got up the courage to go up my first double set of stairs or two steps. That was intimidating but somehow I did it shortly after that, I found a long set of 10 steps about six sets maybe 60 steps altogether crashed about 90% of the way down then remounted and finished off the route. Sidenote, I’ve noticed the pedal touch ground when I’ve made sharp turns. Edited March 4, 2023 by Josiah

Think the officers will be telling the others about the EUC and you. An unofficial hall pass has been given. Very nice piece of ambassador work.
