Wheel is damaged, turns on but no way im riding it again w defective motor. I didn't upgrade the firmware. And yet no replies from alienrides. I wish I would have waited and bought from ewheels. Jason always replied to all my concerns. "I had a cutout on my recently purchased T4 from alienrides. Motor cutoff barely got a 2 beep warning and down I went. Battery was @ 80% and barely going 30mph. My first cutout, never had a problem w any other wheel. I sent 2 emails to alienrides and they have yet to respond. How long do they usually take? It's been over 3 days. I feel like alienrides should have contacted all their customers who purchased a t4 and warned us about this issue. I have to come here and learn about this after the fact? Very disappointed w alienrides thus far. What should I do?" We are a tiny bit backed up. 4153201495 is the shop line. 4153412281 is my cell. We have a dozen QS motor coming. And more after that. Let me check your ticket/email. 4

sseuc.com
Hi guys! One of my customers just got ala new T4 with a QS motor. He says he's having the same slipping issue. Has anyone heard of this happening on the QS models? I have the serial number and it's definitely a QS models.

Upon further review it may not be slipping but something worse with this particular defective wheel. It sounds like a car running out of gas!

Soft on some models has produced problems.

That doesn't sound like the classic "your stator has slipped" noise, but it's difficult to tell. Generally, when the stator slips it causes the hall sensor wires to get pulled tight (they're zip tied at their entrance point and the hall sensors are glued to the edge) and eventually they get pulled apart. On S22 the motor temperature sensor wire would break first and this might brush or rub on the motor cover causing an audible scraping noise. Your noise doesn't sound like a wire scraping the cover to me... as others have pointed out it sounds like the motor itself is stuttering which it can do if the motherboard is loose. Or perhaps your bearings are not properly aligned? No matter what it is, it's not right! You want to be in contact with your reseller about warranty work, and personally, I wouldn't ride it sounding like that. [edit]. More than a few (most?) of the S22 slippages were severe enough to pull the motor power wires apart too, causing short circuits to the motor cover and blown motherboards. meepmeepmayer
I guess this issue is also over for the T4 as well? Thread unpinned.
RolluS
Yes, this issue is solved since second batch with the move to QS motor. V1 motor from ZX manufacturer have to be pinned.
