But during learning, yep your legs will get some bruising Ow yeah .... After my 3rd day I just had to add extra soft padding because my shins were hurting like hell, hyper sensitive from the constant pushing against it. Nowadays I just jump on, barely touching the pads. This would be a first wheel, for riding around 5-10 miles in a downtown area with a couple parks, maybe 25-30 miles on a bike path, and through local college campuses. I stumbled across a video of an InMotion V8...then KS16s, then Tesla, then V10F, then the new 18" wheels, and back to the Tesla. I'm cripplingly indecisive at times, even when deciding on mundane things like pants and shoes. I figure if I enjoy this I can get another wheel later. I know a lot of people seem to be asking the same question; sorry about that Hi. Along with the other great advice given here, a lot of wheel choice is your initial instinct and following your heart (seriously). So trust your "I kinda want that one" feelings if you have them. Tesla appeals to you? Then get a Tesla. The wheels are quite different in form factor and looks. The Inmotion V10(F) is very narrow and tall, Kingsong 16S medium wide and low, Gotway Tesla and ACM2 are the widest (ACM2 low, Tesla a bit taller). Different people prefer different form factors, and your instinctual feelings will tell you a lot about which wheel is right for you just from the first look. As for 18 inchers, they're all unique, Ninebot One Z10, Gotway msuper X, Kingsong KS18L, so in the same way go for the one that looks right. -- And as you say "maybe 25-30 miles on a bike path", experience shows your real world preferred range is often bigger once you have a wheel than before, if you already consider such long tours now. Only the Gotways (and the KS18S) have batteries bigger than the usual ~1020Wh (sadly, the Tesla stops there as well, but it has the very nice handle for moving it when not riding, and the sleek looks). The ACM2 is a Tesla alternative, it has the Tesla motor and better wheel/money (bigger battery) so one could argue it is better, but if you see yourself ever not riding it (trolleying the wheel around when doing errands or so) then I can't recommend it, no fun to carry, the Tesla is much better then. Zuleyka
Hi, I would need some help on EUCs. I recently bought the InMotion V8, but I am experiencing problem to balance. Im only 4'11" and my ankle would hit the top of the EUC. Can you help me what should I do or should I switch to a smaller one like the V5? Your ankle can't be anywhere near the top of your wheel. Assuming your inseam is in proportion to your height you should have lots of leg contact with the body of your wheel. That's a good thing. The V8 is a light wheel and that's also good. How long have you had the wheel and what have you been doing to learn? Bruce
